With my children and grandchildren, our family is large. I thought of making a button for each family member, decorating each one and writing each persons name on a button. They could be strung together, then add some tiny baubles or bells between each button and hung up across a wall, window or archway over the Christmas period. I’m so excited to do this and can’t wait to get started. I also have family and friends who’ll be getting one as a Christmas gift. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. I just love it.
You were the first one I watched on how to make a junk journal. I have seen several others and gotten ideas. You are by far the best one! Beautiful covers, pages, ephemera, ideas, your step by step directions and so much more. Love watching you because you are so inspiring. Excited on what I will learn next!😊
Thank you so much for all the little tidbits you always throw in. You are most definitely my idol, so thank you for always being so willing to share what you do, with us. And I, like many others, LOVE when you go off on one of your tangents! I either learn something new, laugh, or become "mesmerized" 😂. Please don't ever stop being YOU! Once again, thank you so much for sharing all that you do. 🙏🏻
I love how you always show us how to use the creations rather than just leave us turning in the wind as so many others do. The myriad ways you use embellishments are always delightful and inventive. I'll bet you can get even more ideas going back to your circles video - one of my faves and I go back to it all the time. TFS! (BTW, I call my craft room The Laboratory, said in my best Boris Karloff impression.)
My granddaughter has named my Journaling room The Art Studio. She has her own table and has made her own junk journals. Passing on to keep our hobby alive!!
Absolutely beautiful as all your work! So inspiring too. I have learned so much from watching your videos and have saved them all for reference. Natasha, you are my favorite artist and I thank you for being a wonderful teacher as well!! ❤❤❤
WOW!..I am just blown away, ...You are a artistic junk journal genius...The things you come up with out of ordinary stuff is incredible...I am so glad I found your channel...I, so do, enjoy listening to your voice, pleasant and clear, when explaining instruction or just giving options...............
OK, it's me again. I just thought I'd collect some of the great ideas from the livechat. Catherine: a buttons only journal - LOVE this! Thrifty Apprentice: embellish real purse or handbag - super idea! might need varnish for weatherproofing. Or would work on spectacle case or similar. Daydreamer Designs/Kelly Lea/Planning with Donna (and maybe others): Car dangle - cool! Finally Crafting: put on ribbon or elastic round plain vase; party name tags - love both of these! Sorry if I missed anyone!
Oh my gooooodness. I went straight into my craft room. (Conservatory) lol. And started cutting. I just love these. I will make a jacket and just fill it with buttons. When I'm done I will show you.
Thank you Natasa, you are so creative, so talented and a great teacher, always so clear in the explanations and generous in suggesting the various uses of your wonderful works. I can't wait to get to work, I think they could be used to make some napkin rings or curtain holders, to decorate a summer straw hat, I love boxes and I have several round ones that I keep various objects in, I think it would be nice to decorate some only one with buttons of each size. You can use two very very large buttons as a front and back cover and create a round notebook with round sheets hand-sewn on the side. In short, as always you are a great inspiration, I'm glad you are better, send you love 🌷
I absolutely love the saying that you made up. You can't buy happiness but you can make I'm going to adopt that. And of course I'm going to make buttons
Soooo beautiful Natasa !!! I'm loving your handmade buttons soooo much ☺️🤗 soo much fun to be had with these cuties and soo beautifully packaged . Hugs and blessings !!!
😍😍😍wow....love it! So many ideas ( using fishing swivels is just 💡) and thank you so much for showing all the examples. You are such an inspiration 🙂 with all your ideas that you so freely share with us here. Big thank you 🙏 and a big hug too!
I don't remember waiting for any video as eagerly as I waited for this one for a long, long time. I seem to be obssessed with these buttons, and I've been walking around the house and collecting bits and bobs of fabric, cardboard, magazine pictures, music sheets and whatnot that I could use for my buttons. I pre-cut around fifty buttons out of two sturdy paper shopping bags while watching a movie last night and now I am deliciously fretting over a big question: should I collage over them and make them into outer pieces or should I stack and glue a few of them and use them as a filler to fortify my buttons... 🤔💖 What a sweet dilemma! I absolutely love your ideas and these button videos have really struck a creative cord! 🤷♀️ Love from Switzerland 🤗💚 P.S. That must've been the thickest cookbook I have ever seen! Hopefully it is not only used for crafting... 😊
Your wonderful creations just keep coming. Thank you for teaching, not only how to make, but all the possibilities to do! Some are so simple once you do, but I know I would never have thought of them. My head is full of ideas thanks to you! 😊💗🥰
Thank you for the advice on selling and presenting the buttons! Would love to see a video completely devoted to how to present and sell our journals. I love your style and your outlook on “using what you have”. It’s very unique and refreshing!
I love your videos they are always so inspiring; you are a treasure trove of ideas. I also so appreciate all your thrifty ideas as well. Never would have thought of looking in a fishing store for supplies although when I am in a hardware store I do. And another fabulous idea for ribbon crimps. Another idea would be to write family and friends names and Birthdates on each button and hang as a dangle or make some kind of decor item. I had to read through the replies to see what other ideas had come up. Who would have thought you could do so much with buttons. They would look great as decoration on hats or as scarf ties, see now you have my brain swirling with ideas. You're the best Natasa Take Care Hugs and Smiles
Every idea is great!! Fun to make a Christmas ornament!! My fav is the elastic closures with large button!! Worth the wait...thanks thanks to the button queen
Silent member of the premiere. It was fun to watch! The buttons are amazing and I love all the different ideas! ... I just didn't want to overshadow what anyone else was talking about lol

1/12/24: OMG, this is by far one of the most innovative and creative things to make and I am SO looking forward to making a few of my own. You've given me so many ideas to put together some incredible buttons for various projects. I especially like the junk journal as well as earrings best, not to mention the various textures and fabrics that can be utilized. I'm feeling like, who knew that one could go crazy in making...buttons? 🤔 Nevertheless, thank you so much for the inspiration and for the time you took in sharing this wonderful idea with everyone. I'm loving it! 😊
Hello again Natasha, WOW what a beautiful list of ideas. Yes, that's our creative Natasha at work. Thanks so very much for taking the time to give us such beautiful inspirations. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
I have a vintage button ring I bought off Etsy and get compliments on it whenever I wear it. You could make rings too with some smaller buttons. Thanks for sharing!
W-O-W!! THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful and creative ways to use these adorable buttons! I'm sure making these buttons will be another "addiction" to my list of craft- mania-.collections...and I'm SO excited to go on a binge! Thx for your inspiration!
Oh Natasha you did make me laugh when you said that the heart poking out looked like a bum 😂😂😂so many creative ideas. Thankyou so much for your channel.. 🎉
As soon as you put the number 2 on the canvas I though of your whimsical houses . The buttons could just be 1 sun in the sky, or it can be a window or a door. They can be the head and body of a bird. It can be a field of whimsical flowers. It's driving me crazy because we are moving very soon and all my stuff is packed. I thought of leaving them out to until last but then I would have more things to pack. As soon as I am settled I am going to have a button pallooza. Thank you so much. every time you post a video you are so inspiring my mind takes off running. Thank you again.
I thought of a garland when you shared #11 Window Decoration. Easy to keep adding the oversized buttons until they work for the space you'd like to decorate.
Wow, I’ve always loved buttons and yours are just phenomenal, love them! You never cease to amaze me with such epic creative ideas…do you ever sleep?! Your packaging ideas are so beautiful, sincere thanks for all the wonderful videos you put out, I most certainly appreciate them 🥰🏆⭐️🥇💐
maybe a video on making the packaging would be an idea. Your packaging is gorgeous and I know I need help packaging . thank you. As always your videos are perfect.
Great project! I just love all of your ideas! You are such a inspiration to me and I am sure to many others! May God continue to bless you and your family always!
I love all the uses you have shown in this tutorial. I’m looking forward to using some of them. I have made a few of the smaller sized buttons just to get the feel of it. I love making them! I did have to giggle at the “some sort of fishing thing” lol. The country girl came out in me when you said I don’t know what they’re used for. You tie your fishing line on one end & attach your fishing lure to the other. Your line won’t tangle as you reel your lure through the water. And I’ve used them 50 plus years fishing but never thought to used them in my crafting! Going to get me some more! 🤣
I am here from the tutorial and I am amazed how there are so many way to use them, I love the altered paper clips version - cannot wait to get into my studio now :) Thank you so much!
All of these are so beautiful! I especially love number 11 and will make a chime for the window in my craft room! I took something away from each idea! Thank you so much!
Nice ideas. I like the dangling chain of buttons best - in fact, that was the 1st idea that came to my head. I'd love to see a full set of long (top of door to bottom) of various sized buttons made into a curtain (the way you'd see a beaded curtain), or a wall hanging. I also thought it'd be cool to see several glued around a picture frame, mirror 🪞, or the background of a large hanging clock - (you can buy clock kits for the numbers, hands, & time mechanism). Thank you for sharing, and especially for your tip on the swivels! I'll definitely be getting some of THEM!
I like the idea of using 2 buttons as the actual covers of a journal. You could also put several holes along one edge of a big button and loop ribbon through them. So much fun. Thanks Natasha.
The Christmas ornaments made me think 'button garland'. You could use it to decorate year round. Also, if you have the room, an entire button Christmas tree. With a giant button at the top instead of a star or angel.
So many ideas! I especially love the elastic closures and the jewelry. The buttons could also be used in macrame projects. As always, thank you for the inspiration.
My first thought when I saw your window decoration was these buttons would be fun to add to a beaded curtain 😊 I haven't started down the button making rabbit hole, but it is definitely filed in my future project box! TFS Natasha ❤
Richaela, I thought the same thing! I have a closet in my craft room with a folding door and been thinking for months about stringing beads there. Now I want to add buttons!
With my children and grandchildren, our family is large. I thought of making a button for each family member, decorating each one and writing each persons name on a button. Very cute idea!!!
Be sure to sign/date each button! We seem to forget that our creations will be saved and passed on to future generations.
What a great idea! You could make a garland of different sizes for your tree!
That’s a great idea !

Your dangle on the spine reminds me of a hanging cluster of grapes. Love the idea of sewing the button onto the spine and adding the dangles above it.
