    You’re so lucky your husband helps and supports you with these DIY projects. My husband just sits down watching me struggle doing DIY and cleaning which has began to really really start annoying me a lot. Seeing your husband be so willing to help you get the house together makes me realize this is something I didn’t even realize I was missing that’s apart of my love language. Also this is soo creative I definitely want to try this out

      Life is short. I know we sometimes are trapped by circumstance, but you can ALWAYS set boundaries for what you will tolerate. Don't let anybody hang around you if they are unhelpful or don't have your back. Stand up for yourself sis. ♥

    This is absolutely the DIY cheat that I needed to see! My daughter has real wood beams in her place and ever since I saw them I wanted some in my house but I just figured it couldn't be. I have no problem and no shame cheating! I don't want to have to buy giant heavy real beams and then deal with installing them...I'm perfectly happy with this kind that I know is not going to fall on my head and kill me! It's just the look that I like, and this is what I'm going to do. I did not know you could buy those kind of boxes! So you have helped me a great deal...and with your other videos as well. I'll be watching more!

    This is freaking amazing!
    *A faster way to get the wood grain look could be to use the realistic wood grain contact paper (similar to the marble contact paper you used in your last apartment) over the boxes, instead of paint. This could help avoid gaps as well.

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      This is genius too, to use contact paper it would be so much faster, and it would also hide any bends or imperfections in the boxes aswell as cover the connecting boxes so smart. I may attempt it with contact paper

    Dalia... I'm so impressed. The way you thought out the entire process. Boxes, to gel, to command strips, to the small brackets. 👏👏Should you leave, don't use chalking for nail holes. Try a warm white crayon. Put pressure over hole. It melts inside. Not much to sand upside down. (I rent.. a lot nail holes) Bravo to you⚘ on your amazing project. Your smile of joy is priceless.

  • @ittybittykittyrescue4843

    Very clever. A tip for making wood grain on these boxes or anything would be to just buy a wood grain paddle that paints or rolls your wood grain. Would make it so much easier & faster but the way you did it looks great. You could also paint on the wood slats or ship lap in between if you wanted. Love the light that comes in your bedroom too. Way-to-go.

I have this beams all over my living room, because the ceilings are about 4m high and the previous renter built another level for the bedroom to go on top. But he used just regular raw wood with those huge screws still visible and I really want the just-wood-look. Definitely going to buy cardboard now! Thank you!

    I just attached them on the ceiling....but faced the issue of falling 2 out of 10 after 2h and I cleaned the ceiling prior applying the comand strips. My ceiling is a fake one. By any chance do you have a solution rently friend to fix the boxes better??

    Really well done! Something that came to mind that could have saved a little time and avoided having to make the joins was to cover the boxes in wood-grained adhesive paper. Then you could lay two boxes in tandem and have a seamless join. They would probably be a bit of a pain to put up though as they would be extremely long.
