You don't nee to be monarchist. As long as there is no other option to award people officially by the state, this the is the only option and thus for all no matter what is your political opinion. The list of the people to be awarded is not created by the royals, but by a committee.

@ FGs, Charles is not utterly powerless. He made his feelings known when he praised Starmers action. I give Charles kudos for going and talking to the people and not doing a runner like Starmer does when the going gets tough. Charles is surrounded by his wef members. Anything he wants done for himself, he gets. I bet his milk herd are not being given gates fart feed. He praised Khans green agenda that is just a tax revenue scheme and does nothing for the environment. But don’t worry, Charles has never sat in a traffic jam in London in his life. I have no doubt life is very hard for him right now, but he can slink off to High-grove or one of his many house bolt holes to get peace and quiet.

Also, as Head of State, the Monarch is constitutionally bound to follow the advice of the government. I can't even imagine what kind of crisis it would take to force a Monarch to dissolve Parliament today. Something like this happened in Australia in 1975 when the government was totally deadlocked and the Governor-General, who is appointed by the Prime Minister as representative of the Queen,, dismissed Parliament. But, according to the Australian Constitution, the Queen has no part in the decisions of their Governor-General.

    • @garypowell1540
      @garypowell1540 วันที่ผ่านมา +18

It is illegal in the UK as well. If you don't pay your bill then a PAYG meter is installed. If you don't feed the meter then it cuts off automatically, then you freeze but the company can not actually cut you off itself. Many of our OAPs are already on meters and so will need to make a couple of choices either freeze or starve to death, or be cold and hungry at the same time. I don't that this measure will cost more than maybe 100 lives and these will be those who are already having great difficulty surviving on their own as it is. The main point is why should our OAPs suffer at all or be made to feel that they are some kind of unwelcome or unwanted burden on society? My 88 year old mother does not need any charity, trust me on that one, but this makes her no less upset, indeed angry. The savings are tiny compared to what our government chooses to utterly waste the tax payers money on, so why do it at all?
The message to all of our OAPs is clear. The State does not want you anymore. With all of your many and growing medical issues, it is costing us a fortune to keep you alive in your own home only to cost even more when you finally need to go into care. Therefore we would very much prefer that you died or other how buggered off ASAP. We have had your taxes and all of the other profit from your hard work and we are now taxing your children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren into poverty, so quite frankly we really don't need you cluttering up the place anymore. It is well past time you slung your hook as we have a few million boat people already lined up for your council flat.
The clear messaging alone will finish off a few years earlier far more OAPs than it will either starve or freeze.

Hundreds of thousands of British people are homeless, 1.7 million people can't afford to heat their homes, millions can't afford to buy food. King Charles is not weak. A look at his long record of service and standing strong through all kinds of conflicts proves that. His schedule alone would grind a lot of people half his age to dust. He knows his role as a Constitutional Monarch is to respect the will of the people who elected the government. The King is not prone to weak, macho, impulsive acts that would tarnish the dignity of the Crown and throw the country into chaos. Parliament has not been dissolved by a Monarch since the 1700s because, since then, the people have demanded their democratic right to rule. If anyone is weak, it's the people who elect poor representatives to high office.

When the public throws a tizzy over the possibility of King Charles maybe stepping out of his lane by making a political remark, which he hasn't since acceding to the throne, how would it go over if the King denied the will of the people by dissolving their democratically elected government? I can't imagine King Charles would ever be rash enough or uninformed enough to dissolve a Parliament during times when the country is functioning as a democracy. Imagine the chaos.

Wanting to be the leader of all faiths is not being loyal to this country. I’m sorry that he has prostrate cancer, but so do 1,000s of others, all having to deal with it in their own way, not getting the support that Charles is! Charles has always had a petulant attitude, his Mother knew how to deal with him.
But sadly not having her steadying influence & being indulged by sycophants he now does as he pleases, without
      Consideration of his subjects or
      Country. His “darling boy” runs
Roughshod over him & continually embarrasses the RF
      & Charles does nothing!😡
His prime minister is so corrupt it defies belief! 😡 but Charles thinks he’s a good guy (😳🙄like Jimmy Saville) & does nothing about it.
Charles needs to behave as a King & stand and be recognised, or abdicate & let

In a way I agree with Elon, we need to get Starmer & his cronies out but not sure the King should be the one to dissolve Parliament; people object to how they think he meddles in other things though that is for good and so he would be wrong if he does, and seen as wrong by others if he doesn't. The problem is that we, the people, elect the government in a Constitutional Monarchy and so King Charles is supposed to respect that decision. In addition, King Charles is battling cancer and that could prove difficult, stressful. I don't believe this will negatively impact KC reign overall.
Starmer, if still anti Monarchy, should return his Knighthood and as for Khan, he should never accepted it, especially given the huge push against it and awareness of public feeling through the online petition.

Queen Elizabeth II never dissolved Parliament throughout any of the terrible crises in her reign. A Monarch has not dissolved Parliament since the 1700s. The people elected the government and, in a Constitutional Monarchy, the Monarch is expected to respect the will of the people. King Charles isn't even allowed to attend a conference on the environment. Imagine the stink if he took over Parliament! If you think King Charles is wimpy, you aren't paying attention. He is highly disciplined, knows his role and carries out his duties with distinction. He is strong enough not to engage in quixotic macho displays, like interfering in his son's life, that would tarnish the dignity of the Crown. Harry is adult with the right to say and do as he wishes within the law, like everyone else. King Charles is mature enough, like his mother and father before him, to know his remit and stay within its boundaries.
