      Virtus is like the old design, is not refreshing so calling it a design may not be fair. Its sutle and boring and will be like this for yrs to come but it does not excite as well. So I would forget virtus easily any day. However Slavia or Verna have some character and that's what one wants to notice and remember. So design wise, these two cars are definitely much better.

      @@techcloud2510a contemporary and futur sickk design like Verma's will drastically change every four to five years depending on ' trending futur fantasy ' so it's actually such designs are the ones which will be forgotten. For most people who just wants a car for point a to b , such designs and philosophy would do, even if I would consider a car only for five years, I would never take a design fitting for five years only. Timeless designs are called timeless for a reason. They( might ) not win all Beauty contest always, but nobody will say they are ugly or strange. ever. They have predictable, simple therefore ' can't go wrong ' designs. While people will give disgusted look to a ' futur sick ' car of today, ten years into actual future.

    I am owner of Verna Turbo DCT and would like to add a couple of points after having driven it for past 10 days.
    1. The alarm about children crossing the roads is actually not false alarm ,rather when any school / college is detected in the on board map of the vehicle the alarm gets off automatically always irrespective of the time of day .
    2. Had a false alarm of forward collision and the car braked hard when i was in a underpass of a highway behind a truck,although there was sufficient distance .
    3. ADAS does not always read correctly if one is doing high speed overtaking on the highway.
    4. I got a fuel efficiency of around 23-24 kmpl for a drive in city in Eco mode by driving around a stable speed of 50-60kmph.
    5. Headlamps need more brighter throw,especially at night the high beam isnt as bright, perhaps due to the low positioning.
    6. ADAS is overall great though braking in general could had been better .

      Hi, how is the mileage of the 1.0 AT?. We have an ecosport AT and even though it's a very fun-to-drive car, the mileage of the automatic is not that good, mostly returning 8-9kmpl in average city traffic and 6-7 in severe city traffic. We are planning to upgrade to a sedan and are very much confused if we should go with another AT(torque converter gearbox) in the slavia. In the highways we are getting around 13-14kmpl in the ecosport and once even got 17 but that was with really light throttle input.

    • @ravi06197
      @ravi06197 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gouthama3990 The mileage is about the same as you mentioned for the ecosport AT. However, mileage is not a very high priority for me, since I don't drive on a daily basis. In fact, I have just completed about 4K km in a year. For me, the performance, handling, reliability, luggage capacity and comfort of the Virtus are the factors, which influenced my buying decision. Furthermore, driving an AT in start stop city traffic is far less stressful than an MT.

    Nice comparo. Although Honda City eHEV should have joined the parade for its not that big a compromise on performance and offers better mileage. Plus the facelift did address some of the challenges. Of the three, the Hundai's HUNCHBACK has the most confusing design and while that ADAS might save you from making mistakes but the car won't be able to cope up with others mistakes, seeing Hyundai's recent accolades in crash tests. Another thing is that driver's display isn't a true digital unit but a mashup of smaller screens disguised as big screen. Skoda/VW twins are any day more fun, safe and brilliantly built. Sadly the review wasn't able to point differences between them in terms of character, which is ever so slight but its there. Skoda is a little softer and Virtus is a little faster than the other. With Autocar I expected a little more and would have liked to see each cars stats recorded and published than being copy pasted.
