    3-wheeled electric trikes are great for helping out those with balance needs or mobility issues. They can also be a surprisingly practical choice for hauling a lot of cargo day-in and day-out.
    Our team has logged countless hours testing out hundreds of electric bikes - e-trikes included! From all of our testing, here were the electric trikes we were most impressed with that you can buy in 2024.

    I would appreciate a review of how difficult/easy they are to put together by ordinary people

    What I'm looking for is the least amount of moving parts plus customer support. That makes Rad my choice from these three. Don't need the gears. Can get one of their dealers to assemble it for me and keep it maintained. That being said I'm really interested in the upcoming Liberty Trike with 20" wheels. Has mag wheels, is single speed, and can completely incomplete it into two pieces which makes it a lot lighter for transport. Waiting for reviews on it. Just need a grocery getter in a fairly level town.

    Nice summary, but it seems the 1-3k etrikes are heavier, often 70-150#, than we want to deal with.
    Would like to see reviews of recumbent trikes (ones with higher seating) such as the Hase Trigo electric (delta style, Hase entry level trike), plus the tadpole Catrike Villager electric (etrike wgt 51#) and it's cousin the Catrike Max (425# wgt capacity; etrike wgt 57#). Yes, these are more expensive, at about 5k, than the usual 1-3k etrikes, but they also weigh 35-40# for nonelectric or 51-57# for electric versions.

      We'll have to reach out and see if they'd be interested in having us review them. Thanks for the recommendations!

    I tried a trike and they feel really bad because they tip easily. I don't see why you would recommend one that doesn't tilt.
    Twist throttle is dangerous, especially for an older adult, but I don't hear you mentioning that.

    Why haven’t you guys covered any tadpole style electric trikes? They tend to be more stable and lend themselves to running rear hub motors.

      Try sending them a message to see when they plan on making them NY compliant. Most every company is somewhere in the works on that at the moment.

    Curious to know if there's a hack out there for the Lectric Trike to add a longer seat or a second seat over the cargo basket/rear axle? Anyone?

    can you compare evelo with these other trikes

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a great trike too. We're in general a fan of shorter diameter tires. 20" is the sweet spot, so the Compass is a smidge high which raises your center of gravity so you have to take corners even slower.
      It's got a lot of nice components though so if you have the budget it's a good option.

    Too bad none of them can Tilt which would solve the problem of making sharp turns and prevent from falling over.

    Front wheel drive is stupid, Letric is the only option here.

      If dialed in it's good in our opinion. Traction on the two rear wheels is great though.

    Why would you text the XP on beginner mode. 🤦

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  หลายเดือนก่อน

      In general, we encourage people to go slower on trikes, and we kinda liked that the XP Trike came that way to be honest.

    • @DM-fp8uw
      @DM-fp8uw หลายเดือนก่อน

      True, but it's only 2mph faster and importantly makes the PAS levels more differentiated.
