When I meet him in Atlanta in 1992. After the show this week in NASCAR was over. He stayed and meet everyone. He was so awesome he took the time and spend talking. It was late that night. I remember he had to Qualify the next day. Like most I still miss him.
Favorite moment is when he won his FINAL race at Talladega!!It was just AMAZING to watch him work the air & the draft at the end with Kenny Wallace to move to the lead from that far back!!Won't EVER forget hearing Jerry Punch say "The Intimidator will NOT be denied!!Nobody was sitting down watching Dale do his magic on the high banks like ONLY he could do!!!STILL MISS HIM & ALWAYS WILL!!ALWAYS the MAN ALWAYS A FAN!!
He sounds tough and old school with his teaching methods but he sounded like a pretty good dad. Just wanted to see his son succeed to his best potential. If that aint true love than i don't know what is..
Dale Earnhardt Jr and Michael Waltrip. The two who created the greatest plate dynasty (2001-2004) that NASCAR has ever seen and probably ever will. I love these stories. Only fitting it would be told by these two great gentlemen.
If Dale Sr. was still alive, I'm sure there would be more one-on-one talks not just with his son; but, other drivers out there to coach them. I'm sure there are some of the current drivers out there since I left NASCAR in 2015 that need one of the veterans to get advice from because everybody is going to mess up sometime
Dale Sr had a great point, the car is wrecked so go and fix it and get it back on the track! Dale Jr was so embarrassed I can see why he wanted to drown his sorrows in booze. So lets just say a great lesson was taught to a very young Dale Jr!
Dale always wanted to see if Junior really wanted it. Racing at Concord Motorspeedway Robert Gee wanted to help his grandson, but Dale wouldn’t allow it. He wanted junior to struggle, but he wasn’t measured by wins, only effort. We all know how it turned out, but if Dale had lived, Junior would’ve won a lot more races and I believe a Cup Championship.
What is your favorite Dale Earnhardt moment?
When he won the 1998 Daytona 500
The "Pass in the Dirt" on Geoff Bodine at Riverside in 1987. Can still hear the one commentator laughing his a** off over the pass?
When he flipped in ‘97 and finished the race. Inadvertently he stole victory lane from Gordon with the post race interview.

I feel like Dale has been using these interviews as therapy sessions and i enjoy seeing that.
Also is probably therapeutic for many of the people watching these interviews.
I believe the same goes for Michael, Richard, & everyone else tht was blessed to know tht man in a family way.
Maybe because he has got 2 little girls and wishes sr could see him now. My thoughts

These podcast are therapy for All talking and listening, you can't put a price on this kind of therapy. Much Love and Prayers for All.
That's a nice story. Based on all we know...He gave Dale Jr. the race car driver dad talk he never got himself.
The most dad thing was enough cause you turned out great!!
Awesome story Jr!!

One of which is the 4th generation Earnhardt
The irony that Dale Jr. may or may not grasp is that the most “Dad Thing” he did was making you remember this lesson almost 30 years later!

I never knew that. So cool.
You let it defeat you instead of gaining strength from it pushing back you got pushed back
