As a certified goo aficionado i havent seen the turret goo window wiper strat before, that is genius.
In exchange i bring 5 forbidden goo techniques. Mantle goo, pyre goo, goo egg, goo swatting, and goo rez grief
Mantle goo is a strategy I use when I have to defend a large open space. I make long rows of slightly separated goo blobs either one or two high. These provide some cover but also force enemies into a mantle animation if they want to push me which stops them from shooting.
Pyre goo is the (quite basic) idea of using goo to keep an area on fire permanently. By constantly feeding the fires more goo you can keep a cashout on fire for the entire duration.
Goo egg is the last resort of the goo-er. If you are about to die, goo-lock yourself and just keep shooting goo. I cannot tell you how many times I have stalled my death long enough for a coin respawn or for my team to arrive.
Goo swatting is a low %, high reward strat wherin you attempt to channel your inner mlg pro gamer and goolock someone midair. This stops them in their tracks and can either separate them from their team or even fatally throw them off the map. Just goo as much as you can at the flying people and sometimes it just happens.
Lastly, goo rez griefing is using the goo gun to move enemy statues into a more defensible position. Often you will kill and enemy from inside your fortified position but a pesky medium will get away and you know that theyll be back when defib is up. By gooing the statue into a position that is harder to reach, you waste both time and coins.

Goo lock, also known as gulag.
The goo gun has been with me almost since I started playing heavy. Scaling buildings, building bridges, corralling enemies into traps/bottlenecks, giving my M/L classes a booster seat to shoot over my barricades, or just make their own little Sandbag cover. I run M60 it's a must for me to keep enemies at mid range and the bigger mag helps me continue firing after shooting out my own goo to destroy targets.

I’ve been waiting on this vid
Goo gun is by far my favourite specialization. It's so versatile and rewards creative play, but beyond that it's just so fun! Just quick cash but I won a cashout on the moving platforms but just completely blocking other teams from reaching the middle platform. Since it's so buggy with moving platforms, every time I'd goo someone they would fall off the map, if someone did manage to get to the box to start stealing, goo them, they fall through the platform and die.
Couple things:
Aiming quickly is important to make vertical walls with just two goo. Great for cover. Many times I just goo'ed twice in a pillar formation and lived to fight another battle.
The other thing is that it might be possible to superglide with goo only. If you make a pillar with an extra goo at top corner. Definitely something I want to experiment with.

Great video! Thanks. At 2:30 the reason that it is on the bottom right for the goo grenade is because it stops generating sooner than the barrel. If you look at where the point is with the barrel, it is the same as if it were a grenade if the grenade had two extra columns of goo generated.

you missed 1 last tip of the goo gun... when there is a building/walls/rubble no longer coneccted to the ground you can crouch and spam goo to moove the entiere building/fallen rubble in the direcction you are looking at... this is extreamly helpful if the building is on the edge of the map... with this teqnique i managed to throw the whole hospital with the entire server (my team incuded) and secure the cashout for myself

Critiquing content is what I do, and most of the time what my video is about/inspired by. Not really trying to put down content creators. Just highlighting the limitations of that content (in my opinion). Unlike most, I will highlight the issue and build upon it in my videos.
If you want to critique, then critique - but this ain't it. Do a reaction video or something if that's what you're trying to do.
It''s fine to say you were inspired by another video and want to expand on some part of it or do your own version. It's weird to say someone else's clips are "fine, I guess" or to say that someone's macro theory video was just straight bad.
You're probably even right in those cases, if I'm honest. It's just not something you see TH-camrs of consequence doing unless they're beefing for some dumb reason.

Yeah I don't know why exactly my videos did so well but the original intent was to just show a variety of situations highlighting the different uses of goo gun so people would break out of the mindset of it only being useful for reinforcing point and climbing walls.

You could make some educational bronze to diamond videos kinda like the overwatch bronze to gm videos. Basically where you use a new account and show every game from low elo to high elo and explain each game and why you do things as it goes on

I generally believe that flamethrower, goo hammer, and those weapons are good with the goo, but really bad in other aspects. They just don't get the range you need to be competitive, in my opinion. While fire is good for getting rid of goo, its pretty obvious where the fire comes from and you can determine where the enemy is likely to breach. You can also reapply the goo pretty quickly and focus on only the most likely entry points.
The flamer is a AoE cone particle effect that has some travel time. It's burn effect works well with the temporary Goo lock. It can be done over and over until they burn to death which is good for the low DPS of the flamer. This will work until weapon switch speed gets a nerf.
Hammer Goo Gun is running a special that can counter it's own melee capabilities but Melee doesn't need to reload so swinging out of Goo locks and still putting up a fight is possible.
There's another main weapon you should consider using with Goo Gun and that's the MGL. Being able to Goo lock players to set bounce nades to hit them.
Goo also doesn't work on shields, Doors, and throwable objects. It bounces off.
@@ArchSight they might just nerf swap speed to addressing animation cancel basically reload most weapons unintentionally fast...

Goo gun provide such a unique experience only here in the finals , with so much untapped potential of utility it actually baffles me "fps pro" dives into this game with thoughts on their dps game in mind puts goo on bad tiers ....!😅

You can tell info shooter players from CS alike will have big concern at recon sense , overwatch tank player will bias toward shield (main tank) charge (off tank) .
It's ok , and generally have to except tier list bring emotion value being the way of ez made ez retention content .

i had fortified a door with 2 separate goo balls and then i accidentally stunned myself with a 3rd ball. the 3rd one broke but i was still locked in one of the other 2 since i must have been to close to them or something like that. maybe that can be used to permanently lock enemy players if they are standing close to already existing goo. i dunno.
Idk how it happened but I think a goo-hammer main. It's too much fun and I've been impressing the randoms on my team lately and that creates a positive feedback loop and constant stream of endorphins. (solo player btw)

Ok, I played a lot of this game and I rarely ever see a goo using heavy in my games... Without doing much testing I just assumed that you could only have a maximum of 20 good blobs and after that if you shoot more the oldest one disappears. The fact that you can just spam goo everywhere and it lasts 90 seconds all the time is kinda broken. At this point I am way too used to my charge as heavy so I cant switch to goo but damn does it look strong...

Hey Ekazo, there's one thing I'm unsure of what you're doing with the goo gun. On console, at least, it's very difficult to precisely place goo. How do you control the placement so well?

No, but really what you have to do is intentionally slow yourself down. The faster you move (especially noticeable when sliding) the more spread the goo gun does. So while maybe not stoping per se moving less does help. Also fire controlled shots helps with accuracy as well reserving rapid fire for when in a sticky situation and in need of a hole filled 😏
I can definitely see how its going to be difficult on console, and honestly, I don't really have a solution for that. I just generally aim where I want to place. I don't usually stand still while I goo, but definitely avoid jumping.
you can goo faster if you shoot a straight line of goo in front of you (towards yourself) and not sideways or diagonally. so position yourself so you dont have to aim as much when shooting a line of goo. just like he did when he placed to parallel lines of goo next to the cashout.

Do you play go gun+pump gun on every Map ? I find myself having problems closing distance to enemies on Soel with this build
On Suspended Structures, Moving Platforms, and all of the Seoul variants I use Lewis Gun instead because most of those fights are so long range. No matter how much goo you can do, I don't think you can make goo pump work on those.

Ngl I didn’t watch the whole video so hopefully what I’m about to say wasn’t already said but you can goo around a whole cashout box and can buy time for your team, have a teammate with fire nade and throw it once they start breaking it or just blow shit up 😅. Would recommend doing it in boxes that are on the lowest level possible so they can’t just blow it from under.

Yes! if your dome edge happens to interact with the enemy dome center, then it will delete it.

Probably not, usually would want the enemies to pyro it instead of your team. Fire does not necessarily hurt your team nor does it benefit it too much in my opinion because it still deters enemy but it also takes away your goo.
Flame thrower and pyro grenade makes short work of the goo.
You think that if Goo Gun becomes more popular, people will start running Pyro nades? Gas is already such a prevalent utility, having another thing could push certain adaptations
While fire nade is supposed to be a counter to goo, I don't think its effective against goo. When teams use it, they wait for the fire to go away and then push, but in reality, this gives time for the goo gunner to rebuild or just keep prolonging the entry.

Having the Pyro nade on the heavy is great for quick converting the cashout. It's AoE is smaller than gas so it can touch gas without getting in the way. The Goo Gun can also trail the fire effect into the gas to clear it. Fire can be tanked to steal cashout because it does lower dps than gas too. The Pyro mine and Flamethrower are great for constant gas removal but the mine needs a weapon that can trigger it to make it work well.

I heard if you move left or right while shooting, it reduces the recoil significantly
Tap a and d while you shoot if you're at distance. If you're close strafe the opposite direction of the movement of the person you are shooting at to activate recoil smoothing as you are moving your mouse to the side faster. Congratulations, you now have a recoil free fcar using just game mechanics.
