I just tried the Innit thing, it kinda sucks honestly. It just makes everything sound like its coming out of a paper towel roll, making everything muffled and echoey
I've heard the split the cash from the cash out from a few different people and I still don't love it. It really just messes with the clarity of the game. Currently at any moment you can know how much money you need to win/advance. I think this would be a rough play especially if there's any esports-esq scene since it just makes viewability harder.
There will be opinions on all sides that I can respect (adjusting ottr's proposal slightly, I like $1k-$2k-$3k-$4k, but that's just quibbling). But concerning esports, might it not also make each cashout more exciting? Basically, I wouldn't bet on any particular result until you actually see how it works in practice. It could also be a feature that can be turned on and off, or create another strategic element within the game if players could see that some cashout boxes are the original $0-$0-$0-$10,000 kind and some are the kind where there are several "withdrawals" or "dividends" prior to the final "cashout." As for being potentially more exciting, you would have teams not just trying to steal but weighing the risk-reward of racing to steal it ahead of an upcoming distribution or playing more patiently, with lower risk, but maybe giving up one of the "dividends." On an even more basic level, you effectively have 4 cashouts for each vault (3 mini ones and 1 big, final one) instead of just 1. As for knowing how much money you need, if you're going to play at a high level, you should be able to "do the maths" even if they make it a bit more complex. In fact, I suspect it will actually make the "maths" more interesting rather than more confusing. Finally, I'm not sure viewers would have trouble with seeing the payouts at the 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and 12 o'clock spots on the little circle countdown timer. If it did end up feeling like those payouts were happening too rapidly, I'm not sure you would need to add much time (10-15 seconds?) to make that feeling fade. Anyway, sorry for the long reply. Like I said at the start, I respect your opinion as equally valid as ottr's or mine. And it especially seems silly because, while I'd like to be optimistic, I'm not sure my kind of comments will ever have any downstream effect on the choices that Embark ultimately makes, though if anyone has a big incentive for the game to succeed, it's got to be them, I'd assume and hope?
Perhaps it could be "team that first holds it certain amount of time gets all the money" so there is still comeback potential like in OW control game mode.
@@polvellinenthe struggle with this is how that will impact the tournament mode games ending at the same time or not and people having to wait for the other games to finish
@@little_error295tbh I have 300 hrs on the game and I still love it, borrows a lot of elements from other games + the destruction so it feels really unique. I can’t imagine how good the game will once everything gets fixed
I started like 2 weeks ago and i'm LOVING it too. I never tought i would become adicted to a game in this genre since things like Fortnite, Overwatch, Call of Duty etc just doesn't do it for me... But here i am.
I understand your point about stealing cash out last second, but in my opinion that is what makes the game so fun when it’s the last* cash out even if you are last place you still have a chance to come back. I think that part leans more into the heavy stack meta more than the game mode itself being flawed.
Then people need to to saying it's competitive. You didn't deserve the win you just got lucky. That just means the gamemode doesn't require decent skill. It doesn't help that a third party is always bound to clean up the first Battle.
@@echo7project904 if you plant the money and get wiped it’s your fault anyways 🤷🏻♂️ most of diamond and plat lobbies I’m in if a team takes the lead they play defence and drain the clock
@@bailyleiphart3719 no reason to plant first makes no sense to. there isn't any drive for it. The deciding factor will always be the last 30 seconds regardless of what rank people are. Game modes like this are simply flawed. I don't play simply for that alone it just isn't competitive , too casual friendly and Rng heavy.
@@echo7project904 not really if you made it to diamond you will realize most teams hit 30k and win the game off just gettin kills for the last 4 minutes because the other teams are getting wiped too much, you get money for opening vaults and planting the money, so if you aren’t getting wiped and getting kills it’s easy to get 5-8k and keep your self in it until the last vault. Which you have to then plant because the winning teams won’t do it for you
on what you said about new modes, imagine if steal the spotlight was solo bank it, but the entire map was completely dark, and there was a literal spotlight that moved throughout the map, giving players who stayed inside it coins.
8:26 a kill cam is also one thing that this game needs right now because sometimes you don’t know what killed you And a replay system/kill cam is also good idea because you can see if there where any hackers/cheaters on the enemy team or on your team
Unfortunately the finals will probably never have a replay system because of the completely destructible environments the amount of tracking of data and then storing that data to replay to you in real time is an insane effort, it’s a lot to do 😢
A couple of changes I'd like to see made to Quick Cash: 1. Implement a Counter-Snipe time addition. If the Cash Out progression is past, say, 75%, then the steal also reverts progression to 75%. This is to mitigate a team stealing the Cash Out in the last seconds and winning via back cap. You have to actually win the last fight to score. 2. Reduce the Cash Out timer, but pause Cash Out progression if someone's attempting to steal it. This way, there aren't the situations where the loss is guaranteed because there's not enough time left to steal it - stealing is always possible so long as there's time left, allowing daring last minute saves to be more intuitive.
@@Scion15 Cash out timer in both cases, not match timer. The game will still end anyways. Plus if Overwatch is any indication, situations of unending games require either extreme smurfing or coordination across teams.
1. Remove indicator of where the vault is when a person is holding it, and if it gets dropped, should be revealed again. This incentivizes teams to take the vault. 2. Give a bigger bonus to a team putting the vault in cashbox. More incentives. 3. Otherwise, the stealing mini-game during cashout and bulk reward should be left as is. 4. CUSTOM CROSSHAIRS
@@xneomizo Glitch exploding on shield, Defib now taking 3s to respawn a teammate, Nukes nerfed to the ground, Recon senses removed, Power Shift as an alternative gamemode, Ranked system was reworked.
I completely agree with all of your ideas. I don't want to see this game die, its so much fun and seems to be the only PvP shooter on the market actually trying to be different. I have a few Ideas I would love to see in the game. Some are longer than others. Let me know what you think. 1) I think a very interesting counter that could be given to any class, preferably light, would be a gas mask. Being able to hide in gas or steal a cashout through gas would be incredible and significantly boost light. 2) The addition of a new element barrel/gadgets. I was thinking liquid nitrogen or freeze of some kind. It could counter fire and would be more beneficial than smoke. Its main purpose would be to make walls brittle allowing for small punch holes or bullets to be shot through walls. I imagine a freeze grenade that could freeze a wall allowing for more strategical sight lines. 3) The choice to pick a specific faction/company/team that's already present in the game. Personally I like certain team names more than others and get excited when i get my favorite team. I would love to see a cooperative element of choosing your favorite team and unlocking rewards for that team as you "Earn cash" for it. For example I like the Retros the best, imagine if I could join the Retros team and, along with everyone else who chose the Retros, work towards rewards with the logo or name on it. A custom gun sticker or charm showing loyalty and time spent towards a specific faction would be sick. It could also allow for more lore implications if specific team names are more popular than others and could explain where the money is going to in the long run. A cashout total for the whole faction would be very cool as well, showing the total cashout for each faction in a scoreboard along with rewards to the top factions could incite competition. Not sure how they could work out you actually playing for your team each game but for the most part I think it could be a player basis. The addition of new factions, rival factions and more lore based events could all stem from this. Easily my favorite Idea for the game.
The suggestion of turning teams into global factions sounds reminiscent of what Helldivers 2 has - a global map where all players are on the same team (because it's PvE) earning victory for the humans.
I have 4 ideas 1) get ranked working in Oceania servers. should be a given. I know quite a few people stopped playing because of that. 2) change the death stat to only count on respawn or if dead at the end of a round. I get tired of being revived in crappy positions only to die 1 second later. An alternative could be a block revive option so you can hold down a key which shows an icon or maybe make the token glow meaning you can't be revived. 3) have more detailed stats like kills on each weapon/gadget with world leader boards etc. Maybe all time stats or season by season. And along those same lines 4) Add more stats to your stats page. So it would show kills/deaths/assists/revives total combat/support/objective score total cash out value etc.
5:52 this can be good and bad, because if u want to go play with a friend u dont want to waste time doing this, you just want to be able to go ahead and play it, also Im certain people prefer learning by themselves in the "real world"
If you want to play with a friend, the Devs want you to come back regularly, not to play one game and leave. they should first get acquainted with the basics anyway. And you should still be able to play the orientation matches with friends.
I would like when spawning to be facing directly in the direction of the objective. Sometimes when fighting for a cash out, you die and then you rush to spawn back and you end up running the complete opposite direction and you need a second to turn around to reorient yourself to where the objective is. Or in the beginning of the match, all teams are at equal distance from the first vault.
As a daily player of this game i have some thoughts to improve the game. First we need more levels. I already completed the levels which they have provided, now it feels like why i have to play this game. At least if they give some things for vr bucks, it will motivate the players to play. Second thing, in game chat, kill cam and muting the voice of our own individual player will be good. Third, not all players likes to play tournament mode. So in quick play itself if they give rank or xp based match making, and give ranking based on quick play matches will motivate most of the players. Fourth, balance in the game. Light already has movement speed, and they also have dash, then why they are having stun gun. It is not adding up. Example light has movement, so medium and heavy should have some thing to nerf the movement, heavy has strength, so medium and light guns should cause more damage in body shots.(Just a thought 😇). Fifth, as you said, optimization.
@@ammi5311 Guess you meant something like "the average finals player" Because I am a finals player and I'm the reason you will start seeing "Goo Gun is OP and needs to be nerfed" posts everywhere soon. Sorry in advance. 🤣🤣🤣
It's nice to see, creators like you make this kind of video its show how dedicated you are on keeping this game alive. And i hope embark notice this video because your literally giving them ideas on how to keep the game fresh and entertaining for everyone. I have big expectation for the coming up season i hope they don't mess things up in season 2.
It would be so cool if they could do AI in real time, say you create a team name and it randomly selects one of the names you and your teammates have and says it during the match. Same with names, like “Bob just took out that whole team and almost the rest of the other, look at him go with that AK and football frag, we’ll probably see him joining the league after that” or something like that. Good point with the strain it might take but they could really just use AI to list all possible scenarios and then say them and then put them in the game. It would probably be a lot of space but worth trying at least for a bit.
My thoughts: 1. In comp make it so only 2 players can be the same build to counter triple nukes or triple recon/turrets. 2. Give lights 175 hp 3. Give lights a new stim ability that restores 50 hp and gives a 5 second movement buff 4. Change UI in friends screen/ stats screen as it looks kinda plain rn
in Ranked, they MUST to change the map each time and not only the weather. cause two or even three x4 sesions on Vegas in a raw just makes me feel sadnness, spacialy if its the Sand Storm one😢
Holy cow, you obviously put in a lot of work with this video. Much appreciated to learn more about the finals, and how much better can be. Hope they listen to this video and try to make some of the changes. I like the idea of this game doing better, but it will die if it doesn’t step up.
Personally, I think the game is perfect. The ranked issue is complicated. Because if they implimented what you said, high ranked players would never ever ever find games. This was a problem in Halo 5. A couple high rank players playing with bronzes is still balanced because EVERY team gets a bronze. Or 3golds = 1diamond1silver1bronze.
Very solid suggestions! I disagree about balancing though. I think it's fine. Some things are stronger than others and that's ok. The weaker weapons, gadgets and abilities are not just good for throwing, but also to have fun. "Perfectly balanced" is a fever dream. Stop it! Also we don't need "better matchmaking" especially not for every mode. Give us one ranked and one UNRANKED NO MATCHY MATCHY, because people, get this one mathematical fact in your head: "Perfect matchmaking means EVERYONE will ALWAYS have a k/d of exactly 1". And that doesn't feel very fun. We need both, ranked/ matched and frkn UNRANKED/ UNMATCHED so we can see how we perform against the general population, the average playerbase. Besides that really good suggestions especially allowing modding and hosting dedicated servers etc., but we both know devs these days don't want us to have too much fun... Buying new skins is supposed to be what keeps our endorphine levels high...
Not sure if this has been said anywhere, but I have yet to see this idea being brought up for cashouts. Bleeding cashouts would take away a huge aspect of the game. A different, more reasonable, and more intense suggestion would be to “pause” the cashout clock whenever the cashout is being stolen. This would allow people to have a chance towards end game to sacrifice themselves in order to pause the clock, enabling their team to grab a couple frags before securing the cashout. With this you could also add something where if the cashout is stolen in the final quarter of the circle, an additional 20 seconds could be added to the clock, allowing for maybe another team to spawn back in and make an attempted steal(slowing the clock further). Lemme know your thoughts!
I think keeping quick cash the same and then adding a game mode like “continuous cash” that is the same but does the increments of cash at each time. That way people can play which game mode they prefer. Like Fortnite no build, and regular build.
I just started playing and having come from playing Fortnite and MWIII this game has incredible potential like you stated, the mechanics feel really good, gunplay is rewarding, and even when I die I don’t feel like I’m punished for it, which makes big plays feel that much better.
The number one thing for me that needs to be solved is the audio. I don't think I have ever played a game with worse audio, even apex after gradually destroying the audio more and more every patch still felt more reliable. I will actively be listening for footsteps only to be killed by a heavy running after me while breathing down my neck and I heard nothing the entire time. This happens even in moments where there isn't a lot of audio being played (even still footsteps should have nr.1 priority being played). The only ones I sometimes hear is teammates... Cloaked lights running around i hear no problem, which honestly it feels like it should be the other way around.
Oh, i thought my friends headphones were just way past their prime. I haven't tried different ones but sounds seem to be all over the place. Sometimes audio from left (game) comes more sharply from the right headphone and vice versa. It really throws me off.
what you said in that video is very mature and i hope embark is taking notes, nothing can be perfect, but games who listen to their communities usually get rewarded
I think you should be punished for opening at least the last vault just to take it to a good defending position and not deposit it. Feels a bit weird sometimes when a team just stole your cashout in the last second (like you mentioned) just to rush the last vault, take to a super advantagous spot and not deposit it making it almost impossible for other temas to take it and get the extra minuter. Even if The penalty for not deposit was just 1000 or something i would sometimes force teams to not just sit in a corner.
Light buff. The light can use his full 3 dashes bye hold the dash button to do a super dash that can push players and props. E.g. throwing the heavy on to the cash out. And the light could use 3/4 if his invis charge to make team mates invisible for a length of time
Consistently being able to invis meds and heavys is not a buff to light but a nerf to the class over all. Cloak is one of the strongest parts of the light kit and would degrade its effectiveness if handed out to other classes like cookies. Horrible idea, you must hate light😂😂😂
Great suggestions, love them all. I'm not a developer but I would assume it takes a lot of time to develop bots, especially with all the unique gadgets and weapons. As for the cashout change, I'm a bit unsure. What if the total cash inside a cashout decreases for every steal. Let's say team A starts a $10k cashout timer. Team B steals and the cash prize is lowered to $8k. Team C third parties and successfully steal. They are rewarded with $6k. This would system would encourage early defenders. And even if another team steals the loosing team still has a chance.
I absolutly agree with you on almost all points but i think in quickcash they should award player fpor each kills like in tournament matches so that the team that is not able to cashout during the entire match still have a hope of securing themselves in the matcjh in the last moments if you defedn you cashout for long time you are gonaa be rewarded with kills you gets instead of 2000 for cashout interval where the player just gives up all hope on the match
I love all of this, the only thing that worries me is, i dont want quick match to gain any mmr restrictions, quick play should always be quick and unrestricted, if im fighting diamonds so be it i will learn from my mistakes and be able to blame the lose on some cracked players (they deserve it) but ill make them work for it! Also i do worry about the high ranks que times as i have seen your suggestion implemented and i remember it hurting the community at least at first (think 20 min que times) but maybe testing is the way to start!
I was floored by the finals when it came out. It was the most fun I've had in an FPS in a long time, but after my acclimation period the reality set in. Matchmaking is an absolute shit show. I've tried to tune into streams and every time I do the streamer has a stack of competitive friends and first match in tournament its clear as day there is not a single team in the lobby that can compete with them. You can't have a competitive team based FPS where you're matched regularly against people who do not stand a chance against you. Its frustrating on both sides and it does an incredible disservice to all the work that has been put into the title. I hope the finals turns things around as I would LOVE to grind ranked, but it just feels like an absolute waste of time for a game that unfortunately may be old news in the couple months.
Note that apex did the orientation matches very late in the game dev, but it is a fair point because you should / must learn from the other games mistakes. it is extremely important to check your peers and learn from them.
one thing they can do is either offload some the voicelines to people with a ai enhanced gpu (nvidia 30 series and up and some amd stuff) and let the servers do the rest at the start of the game and only generate the usernames which can be put into pre-generated voicelines to complete them this doesnt resolve the issue of non filtered usernames
I think that change to the cash out is a little to radical but i feel one chang that would change that box getting stolen feeling better is updated and reworked spawn system. Wiping a team just to have that same team steal the box just becuase you had to kill 7 people is very unrewarding. Other than that a genuine steal last min is a stratagetic apporach to getting the objective, one me and my sqaud abuse quite often.
I think people also need to understand that season 2 wont magically bring back all 200,000 players all at once. The majority of the original playerbase just played the game for the hype and nothing more. This is more of a gradual process: with each season bringing back that player count we had at the beginning, and this time staying because the game would have a solid playerbase (All of this depending if the seasonal content we get is of quality of course, if its not then thats a different story). Im saying this because I know theyre's going to be that one clickbait youtuber going "wHY seAsON 2 WaSnT enOUgH tO sAvE thE fiNals".
Make it so depositing the vault gets you $2000. Cashing out gets you $8000. Rewards player for more than just ending it and incentivizes going to vaults. Could be fun late game if the only thing teams need is a vault deposit.
agree with everything except the cashout, because while it sucks to hold a chashout for 98% of it and have it stolen, it feels even better when you do the stealing, problem is it has far too much of an impact on the game as it is, there should be an alternative way to rack up cash, maybe something light could be a big help in and would actually provide something the team, maybe something like putting enemy statue things into a cashout or a different location on the map can give a small amount of cash immediately or something of the like
I agree with your comments on balance, but I think the cashouts should remain the same. The big moments that I remember playing come around last minutes steals, or long defensive holds fending off team after team after team for the full duration. You take all of the suprise out of the game.
How about cashout gives cash gradually, like the longer you hold it, the more you get. This might motivate players to intercept cashbox deliveries instead of just waiting till it hits the ATM
Actually in dota, if you play with 1 friend , you match against team of 2, same with 3 and also 5. And if you solo que you play only against solo players
They would need to bring back THE FINALS play test to see if this cashout idea would be better and also to let dedicated players try it before it is rolled out to the main game and probably not reversed. For me i am in two minds and would need to play it to find out if i prefer it
If you are gonna change the cashout, I think it should work like other king of the hill game modes from like halo. Team that holds it the longest gets more points.
My suggestion would be I think the easiest. In tournaments (ranked, unranked) i HATE when i get a map that I dont like and have to play the entire game. I think it would be a lot better if every round there would be a different map. For example: Round 1 on Seoul, round 2 on Monaco, Round 3 Las Vegas. It would be THE change what tournaments need in my opinion. Also we need maps too. The game is rn a 7/10 for me overall but with some changes I agree that it would be a 10/10
I think it is important that they pull more players to tournament play, the queues take too long and many new players approach it as if it was just a quickcash, would make a better low rank experience as well
Honestly doesn’t really fit this game rn which is why the slow queue times. It’s only good if you have a stack to run otherwise you will have to play with potato randoms for multiple rounds and that’s just depressing. If you have a stack then you should just be playing ranked anyways and if you solo q quick cash is the best place
What I love most is going competitve as a silver1 player and getting matched against diamonds and top 100s on their mains. Great experience. After 1 game I immediatly stoped playing again
kill cam: I've heard kill cams are pretty intensive to implement, and even tougher in this game due to how the destruction works. But, could be possible
From the thumbnail, I thought you were gonna suggest shorter times on the cashout with individual progress from each team(so you can't steal the progress from another team when you take the cashout, you start from 0 and go from there, going back to your previous progress if it gets stolen and retaken again). Personally I'd much prefer that, even if it would make games noticeably longer
I am a highly competitive player. Every game i play i grind rank. I have yet to do that AT ALL in the finals because of the abysmal ranking system. It actually baffles me that it is that bad. Like surely they thought about this? Butni guess not? Also, while im on the topic, 4 teams seems like too much, especially since you have to play 2 whole rounds of it (I think)
Ranked could also get balanced if there was team balancing (both teams theoretically should have equal performance such as a team g s c facing off a similar team or a team of s s s I guess because I don't know the math behind it plus I don't know the ranks).
Love this game, but from being a CB1 player, it feels the same as it did then sadly, I think all it needs is simply “more” that sounds very broad but that is how I feel about the game, will always love it tho
I'm split between divided cashouts. I think something being changed about defending the cashout should be improved; as it is, you are at a disadvantage by taking that initiative since you have to survive many attacks. But then if that cash was split up if you get it in, and say hypothetically, the opposing team hard rushed to capture it quick and then fight, they may take 2k-4k of your money if it's timed right, even if they die. I think sticking with the current system but looking at why it's so frustrating to lose in the last few seconds, and why it happens so often.
Imagine though being that team that captures the cashout and holds until the very end just to lose it in the last seconds and get nothing at all for it, would be nice to get at least something for holding a cashout for the majority of its timer
@@joeballz25 That team which has successfully defended the cashout for most of the time has gotten kill cash and possibly too have cashout out activation cash and maybe also vault opening cash.
@@joeballz25 which is what I think needs a look taken at. Perhaps some sort of defensive boost is needed for the team that started it, I truly don't know, but I don't think splitting the money into different time gates would be the correct choice
I think the partial cashout idea is good, however I think it'd be a better idea to experiment with having the team who owns the cashout earn $100 every 2 seconds (which is $6000 over 120 seconds) and the team who owns the cash out when it finishes earns a bonus $4000 (these amounts would change for when the cashout is more than $10000). With the intervals being frequent it'd make loosing the cashout much less annoying, since even with the intervals mentioned in the video teams still have the potential to earn no money despite holding the point for up to 29 seconds. we can always speculate what would be best, but in the end, the best way to know if something will work is to make it available to the community to try out for their feedback, and when making changes preferably make significant ones because for example, if 1 is too low a number and the devs make it 2 only for feedback to still say its low then you haven't found out much, if you change the number to 5 and its way too big then you now know the optimal number is 2 3 or 4, otherwise if the number is still too low then you've skipped having to try out 2 3 and 4.
Just a simple human. Would like to have auto sprint and for the bug that prevents me from shooting or not spawning with a gun at random times to be fixed
About the roadmap. A dev (somewhere in light chat on discord) stated that they didn't wanna do roadmaps bc they're more of a under-promise and over-deliver dev team or something??? Might be interesting checking it out
I think another good fix to the cashouts would be, that if you stole it when it was above halfway done, it would reset to half. And if you stole it when It was below halfway done, it would reset to 0.
My current issue is that I'm fully ranked and unlocked everything. So I don't have a strong desire to jump on at the moment. Especially with Helldivers 2 out.
Class balance is the biggest issue imho. I love light, but playing heavy after douzends of hours of light'ing feels like a tutorial lol. Instantly getting a 5+ KD as a heavy, while playing light feels like a constant uphill battle.
I've been playing The Finals since PS5 and for a few weeks now it's started showing me all the opposing teams in red. Some of my friends have the same problem. How can I report it ? I even tried to uninstall but nothing changed.
hi im still watching the video but im at the point where you talked about ranked I just want to say if your team is a full stack meaning you playing with friends dont lock me from playing ranked with my friends since it doesnt effect anyone except for me and my friends idk if you pointed that out since I stopped the video at 7:52 but so far I like what you are talking about
cash outs should allow you to steal small amounts of money over time and bring it to another station. if you die on your way to deposit, then you would drop the coins like in bank it.
The fun of the game comes from being able to change the tables at any moment, the partial cashout would ruin this game and turn it into a camping simulator
Sorry for writing a short essay in the ccomments, but I heavily disagree on most things you say here! Especially about making The Finals an esport. Trying to start an esports scene for a game by just pumping huge cash prizes is an awful idea that only killed games. Heroes of the storm got completely abandoned due to Activision pumping millions of dollars into not just one, but two championships to a game that wasn't even out for over a year. Having huge cash prizes and sponsors are just artificially inflating the interest in a game until eventually the bubble pops. The Overwatch League imploded, and League of Legends teams are being downsized one after the other. I play The Finals to have fun. Improving myself and winning is just secondary. I don't want this game's main audience to be annoying sweaty 13 year olds who play cause they want to be famous the laziest way possible. (in my experience most kids who are regularly following big esport events are only thinking about the game as a means to the cash prize and fame) That being said, my most anticipated feature to be added to the game is private lobbies and custom tournaments. A grassroots competetive scene that is sustained by the fans who are in it because they already llove a game, is the only sustainable one in the long run. Fighting game tournaments almost always operate on a loss, but thanks to the experience of over three decades, organizers have learned how to be self sustaining. Team Fortress 2 was abandoned by Valve when their attempt to make it a competetive game burnt their asses. But there is still a part of the playerbase playing it competetively. They aren't playing to get fame or money, but because they like the gameplay, the artstyle, and the community. in short: To make a good esports scene you need to make a good game, that cultivates passionate community around it. Also, having an esport scene doesn's mean that new people will be interested in the game, but it will make sure that old ones will always be there.
Do i remember correctly but wasn't OW's competetive scene more grassroots at the beginning, and Blizzard basically strangled it because they wanted to own the competetive scene by creating OW league? Dumb stuff
basically your suggestion is to build 10 AAA games worth of features on top of the finals + add 100 million dollars in prices for tournaments, yeah, sounds feasible
Why not adding more time for the cashout to complete when its taken but only once per team and cashout, like you have the cashout for the whole time and at the last second two team are coming and one take your cashout by force, it add lets say +20 second for that team (but only once for not any abuse) to finalise the cashout and give you one more opportunity to take it back ! Hope it was clear explanation not native english speaker
To be honest the gameplay loop kinda gets repetitive but the core gameplay is great and also when you play with randoms as in betting a lot of people do the game becomes unplayable against a coordinated team. You basically have zero chance of good game or a win.
I personally want you to play and analyze Team Fortress 2. To see what things are the most important to why it is so unique. To mention, after 15, 16 years after its release, it got a new highest all-time player count. No game that I know, as a gamer, had never done this. I think it's safe to say it's not just one the best FPS games ever made, but one of the best games ever made.

Protential to get me bored from boring competitive mode shoulded just be casual 20v20
Plus it being winner take all is all of the tension right now. Key plays take the game. I don't think it would be nearly as intense otherwise
Perhaps it could be "team that first holds it certain amount of time gets all the money" so there is still comeback potential like in OW control game mode.

A couple of changes I'd like to see made to Quick Cash:
I think one of these would fix the issue of the other, no?
Games would never end lol

I would love a callout option to camp or not put the cashout in " wait for teamates for cashout" or "don't put cash out in"
"Why is it called an oven if you ov in the cold food and ov out the hot food to eat?". Anyway, that's a good suggestion to add strategy callouts.
7:40 The Last of Us factions actually had two separate game modes for their TDM mode. One was for solo queue only and the other was for parties only.
Some of these suggestions are really good , not all but 90% of them are great
I have 4 ideas 1) get ranked working in Oceania servers. should be a given.
"heavy should have some thing to nerf the movement" You're talking about the goo gun.

Holy cow, you obviously put in a lot of work with this video. Much appreciated to learn more about the finals, and how much better can be. Hope they listen to this video and try to make some of the changes. I like the idea of this game doing better, but it will die if it doesn’t step up.
They could add streamers as sponsor in the game as you said, play around with the idea that it's a spectator game.
Ooh, this a good one. Instead of companies, make it a streamers battle field.
I think if you steal the cashout the timer should just reset to the last quarter mark it reached.

Doesn't feel very fun*.
Otherwise, I fully agree with your comment.

slow steady cash increase for every second held, and then one final lump sum at the end.
Cashout1 = 5k hold + 5k steal
Cashout2 = 5k hold + 10k steal
Cashout3...
Cool ideas bro! 11:04 Found myself in your video LOL. Was playing with randoms and this dude kept reviving me in the middle of a fight 😅
He's right about the toxicity being 90% of the voice chat. People come on voice chat just to tell me I'm dog shit and should uninstall lol
And the minigun glitch, where you get stunned by a loud minigun sound...
Oh, i thought my friends headphones were just way past their prime. I haven't tried different ones but sounds seem to be all over the place. Sometimes audio from left (game) comes more sharply from the right headphone and vice versa. It really throws me off.
in terms of modes, i think a gun game would go crazy. im not sure how the classes would work but they can figure it out 🤷
what you said in that video is very mature and i hope embark is taking notes, nothing can be perfect, but games who listen to their communities usually get rewarded
I’m just so over getting horrible teammates when I queue up in ranked it’s a waste of time
Great suggestions, love them all.
I honestly think the thing that would make me come back to the game more is just making it run better, running a "competitive" game on 70 fps is rough
I hope the finals turns things around as I would LOVE to grind ranked, but it just feels like an absolute waste of time for a game that unfortunately may be old news in the couple months.
its because nobody plays fps games for fun now, everyone wants to be a pro or a streamer nowadays and it makes games way too competitive
Note that apex did the orientation matches very late in the game dev, but it is a fair point because you should / must learn from the other games mistakes. it is extremely important to check your peers and learn from them.
I seriously want this game to succeed, the setting is unique, the game is fun, and the graphics are good. THIS GAME SHOUlD BE POPULAR!!
one thing they can do is either offload some the voicelines to people with a ai enhanced gpu (nvidia 30 series and up and some amd stuff) and let the servers do the rest at the start of the game and only generate the usernames which can be put into pre-generated voicelines to complete them
this doesnt resolve the issue of non filtered usernames
Great video, all really good suggestions
I really only play bank it.. would love to see it expanded upon. The foundation for this game is absurd and i can't wait to see what they bring
Make it so depositing the vault gets you $2000. Cashing out gets you $8000. Rewards player for more than just ending it and incentivizes going to vaults. Could be fun late game if the only thing teams need is a vault deposit.
ngl this might be the first successful video ad ever innit sounds like its about to be revolutionary
I feel like a custom/private match for people would be nice for fights with friends or for people to learn the map better
agree with everything except the cashout, because while it sucks to hold a chashout for 98% of it and have it stolen, it feels even better when you do the stealing, problem is it has far too much of an impact on the game as it is, there should be an alternative way to rack up cash, maybe something light could be a big help in and would actually provide something the team, maybe something like putting enemy statue things into a cashout or a different location on the map can give a small amount of cash immediately or something of the like
I agree with your comments on balance, but I think the cashouts should remain the same.
4:30 this alone would make the game 1000% better
The game is rn a 7/10 for me overall but with some changes I agree that it would be a 10/10
Great video and good ideas, hopefully the finals get saved season 2
I think it is important that they pull more players to tournament play, the queues take too long and many new players approach it as if it was just a quickcash, would make a better low rank experience as well
Honestly doesn’t really fit this game rn which is why the slow queue times. It’s only good if you have a stack to run otherwise you will have to play with potato randoms for multiple rounds and that’s just depressing. If you have a stack then you should just be playing ranked anyways and if you solo q quick cash is the best place
You inspire me to create, thank you for the content & online presence :)
What I love most is going competitve as a silver1 player and getting matched against diamonds and top 100s on their mains. Great experience. After 1 game I immediatly stoped playing again
Man something that could be so amazing is to bring a bet system like in BO1 but with Multibucks
kill cam: I've heard kill cams are pretty intensive to implement, and even tougher in this game due to how the destruction works.
Cod MW2 (2009) is the only game ive seen have that solo separation with "mercenary tdm" it only allowed solo ques
TDM would save the game as they iterate on the points system for tournament for sure
What do you think of a battle royale mode? Or being able to pick up weapons
A gunfight like mode from COD would be cool
I am a highly competitive player. Every game i play i grind rank. I have yet to do that AT ALL in the finals because of the abysmal ranking system. It actually baffles me that it is that bad. Like surely they thought about this? Butni guess not? Also, while im on the topic, 4 teams seems like too much, especially since you have to play 2 whole rounds of it (I think)
Ranked could also get balanced if there was team balancing (both teams theoretically should have equal performance such as a team g s c facing off a similar team or a team of s s s I guess because I don't know the math behind it plus I don't know the ranks).
they could make a separate queue for full lobbies and soloq/duos in ranked.
It is an option in gameplay
Go in gameplay settings and look for "show team colors" and change from no to yes

I have a lot hope for this game. Nice video, I agree with you in a lot of this points
hi im still watching the video but im at the point where you talked about ranked I just want to say if your team is a full stack meaning you playing with friends dont lock me from playing ranked with my friends since it doesnt effect anyone except for me and my friends idk if you pointed that out since I stopped the video at 7:52 but so far I like what you are talking about
cash outs should allow you to steal small amounts of money over time and bring it to another station. if you die on your way to deposit, then you would drop the coins like in bank it.
The fun of the game comes from being able to change the tables at any moment, the partial cashout would ruin this game and turn it into a camping simulator
What nvidia filters are you using the image looks great
I remember all the plebs saying its all good, "everything has a counter". I doubt even they are playing still
Sorry for writing a short essay in the ccomments, but I heavily disagree on most things you say here!
(in my experience most kids who are regularly following big esport events are only thinking about the game as a means to the cash prize and fame)
That being said, my most anticipated feature to be added to the game is private lobbies and custom tournaments.
Dumb stuff
Yeah your ideas on how you get the cash from the cashouts are very good
basically your suggestion is to build 10 AAA games worth of features on top of the finals + add 100 million dollars in prices for tournaments, yeah, sounds feasible
Why not? Next gen tech + funding from Nexon. I think 100 million is tiny for nexon.
text chat is not that hard as you think, the most tough stuff already implemented
I hope the devs watch those vids and work on it to improve their game
To be honest the gameplay loop kinda gets repetitive but the core gameplay is great and also when you play with randoms as in betting a lot of people do the game becomes unplayable against a coordinated team. You basically have zero chance of good game or a win.
I personally want you to play and analyze Team Fortress 2. To see what things are the most important to why it is so unique. To mention, after 15, 16 years after its release, it got a new highest all-time player count. No game that I know, as a gamer, had never done this. I think it's safe to say it's not just one the best FPS games ever made, but one of the best games ever made.
