Starshot is a B tier weapon but it can be build defining. Using a stone of malevolence mod build or fire build it is one of the strongest guns in the game. RROD, Stone of malevolence, Singed ring and your choice for the last slot with the amulet of the sun. Hot shot on your primary and star shot you can inflict thousands of DPS dots that instantly 5 stack starshot allowing you to fire it about as fast as the sure shot, only you are doing 8K damage a shit and another 1k dps dot that instant,y restacks the starshot.
Like the last guy said I'd bump Star Shot up to B tier because of the damage you can dish out in a fire build. Honestly, I don't even use the gun itself because 90% of its worth is within the mod. The only explosive build that I think is even viable and exists is the tremor mod + detonation trigger with stone of malevolence and elemental/fire related rings. Good CC, covers a stupid large area but loses value whenever you go to the burning areas in lonsom.
I agree with your rankings completely except I would move Nebula up one slot over Hellfire since Nebula's mod also does corrosive DOT's while Hellfire's doesn't do fire DOT's. If you're going to have a fixed mod on a DOT gun, the mod needs to do DOT's too. I'd also argue that Nebula's mod is better anyway since it's fire and forget.

Starshot does good for boss work when buffed for fire damage (Talisman of the Sun amulet) and paired with a long gun that has firestorm; mods constantly refill allowing lots of spam.
For me personally Enigma with that mutator that adds corrosive damage at level 10 would easily make the gun an S tier. Silverback I’d put as a “build dependent” S tier as it just destroys with Hunter/Gunslinger builds. Great vid
Ranking bolt driver without using archers crest and sequenced shot is criminal. That gun shreds and is my go to with bow builds. Also enigmas strong af ur crazy man 😂
Oh I knew I'd make some people angry with the Bolt driver. Idk man burst + charged in the same gun turned me off of it. I could handle one or the other

Tech 22 is my go-to. I think it's comparison to the MP60 is the Tech is better for mid-long range with its laser accuracy, while the MP60 is close-mid with higher damage per bullet. I run the Familiar mod on either, which seems to get me out of a LOT of bad situations--those crows definitely pull their weight. I'd put the Enigma at A. I could see B since it's more an AOE niche as its single target power is weak and it takes some risk to build up all 7 mod charges to work a boss, but it's a trash horde annihilator. Most of Losomm, the bug areas of N'erud, and especially those stupid rolly packs in Yeasha make this thing shine.
Same for my wife and I. But he's only testing it with the HuGs training wheels on that only buffs ranged and crit dmg. Neither of which benefit the starshot, being explosive and mod dmg. Run it on arcon(or engineer)/summoner and watch that thing hit repeatedly for 10+k for the fastest boss kills in the game!
I dont see any comments saying that the cube gun mod actually can be shot as a damage field. I actually knew about the damage ability and not the fact that it was a shield? But the damage from the cube has a great area affect and okay damage so I thought I'd point that out
Tbh it should be B tier. I love the infinite ammo for the close range, plus all you really have to do is watch for the meter so that you don't overheat it, and the shield had saved my life a very close calls but the only downside I have for it is. It's not good long range.
I very much agree with this list. The bolt gun has a mod now that reduces the charge time by 90%. I forget the name, but it's basically full auto with the mod, yet the reload still is trash. The Sorrow is so powerful, and combining the Resonating Heart and some mod generation will make you unkillable. A little mod generation/Bandit makes the sorrow a delete machine.
bolt driver pairs really well with a bow or charge rifle, if you run the archers crest the dps gets way better, slap momentum on there and you can clear mobs and kill bosses pretty efficiently
@@UnknownDarkness47supercharger is the inferior choice, sequenced shot turns this gun into a demon. Its DPS with overflow easily hits the 4-6k range depending on class. Its bar none the highest DPS sidearm. Luckily sequences shot is broken on every other fusion rifle so there is no competition.
What do you expect, he's ranking everything with the HuGs training wheels on. His only buffs are ranged and crit dmg. So, every weapon with elemental or mod dmg he ranked super low for some reason. And I don't know what he's thinking with the sureshot. He has the perfect build to make it shine, he just didn't equip sidewinder for some reason, which would turn it into a 2k per hit machine gun.

So you may not see the strength in a gun that i or someone else see just simply bc your build/stats are different. For example of what im talking about, the engima, 100% is not as good as it was. But compared to the other guns in the game, w the right build that gun is running through areas faster and better than some weapons you had above it. My friend uses the enigma and w HIS build it is amazing, w MY build not so much bc i build my character differently. There are a lot a factors to take in to account so i get why you have so many people sayi g this gun should be higher than that gun or that gun is way too high on the chart. Well all in all it really depends on the build you have when testing the weapons, its not that your wrong and the fans are right. We are all right
Absoluetly. As with most tier lists its alot of opinions floating around. I did try to be objective and give every gun a fair shot considering how some guns could be better in specific builds (like the hellfire /nebula) But you nailed it!
if you maintain the ability button with the cube gun you shoot the shield forward and the shield damage enemies instead (it produce the same cube than the boss in the labyrinth) So I would class it b Tier if the damage was higher
Honestly, if used correctly it can trivialize a lot of boss fights. With shalhala, the custodian eye and the cube boss of the labyrinth, it absorbs all projectiles and makes the fights a joke.
Bolt Driver is insane with sequence shot mutator, only limiting factor is ammo but I running it with the stasis beam which imo is pretty busted. I dps bosses with that thing. Star shot is also crazy both guns are nuts if built into
Not sure if you didn't mention because gou think its trash or because you don't know, but the cube gun has a second ability. You can fire that shield and it blocks projectiles as it goes and damages all targets based on your AoE.
The "co-op" required bits are just for specific gear, not for story progression, though. However, this game is considerably more fun with a friend or two. The downside is that only the host makes actual story progress (ie when you complete it as host, only you will have "Adventure Mode" for all the worlds and you'll have to replay it with your friend(s) hosting their own game for them to get completion).
On another channel the sorrow was rated poorly. I defended it saying that it is really good on certain builds. I had a couple of really unhinged idiots fly off the handle at me about it. My conclusion is that they are bad at making builds and/or accurate with their shots. It really is a beast. As for the star shot, I have one build that every shot makes a mini explosion, and I can fire the fully charged mod every few seconds. It’s pretty tame in the wrong build, but in a good build with a good primary boosting it, it’s so good, it becomes the primary.

I made hundreds in Remnant from the Ashes and every other game that allows it. Some weapons work with many builds and with others, you have to tailor your build somewhat. Anyway, good call on the sorrow. It really is a great weapon when you're accurate and even better in a tailored build.
I just think it takes a little too long to get all the charges, even with mod generation. I think we can do better in a detonation build if we're focused on mods
@@UnknownDarkness47 I utilize a hybrid burn/explosion build and Star Shot with kill switch can be a pretty potent room clear. It took me quite a while to iron out the details with it, but it feels good and to just grind veteran for scrap and sims the build is solid. Could throw you the build if you want to see Star Shot shine.

But the shorthand you requested is: Detonation Trigger, Cataloger's Jewel, Red Ring of Death, Stone of Malevolence, and Targeting Jewel. The Targeting Jewel is more for the long gun of the build so, if you're just trying to weigh the strength of Star Shot, use Timekeeper's Jewel instead. Maxed out Amplitude helps as well, of course. Try not to be focused on hitting enemies dead on all the time. Most of the time just hitting near them will get ideal results.
Don't use detonation trigger, you're killing it's potential. Use talisman of the sun. If you're using tremor on your long gun then I can see past that. But still better to go full fire build. @@iagocinblaidd8468
I don't care for souls-like, I love this game. I will say longevity is better with a friend. The classes (archetypes) are all pretty fun, which is one thing I really like in games. I have it on Gamepass and bought the DLC. Definitely worth a sale price, though (I expect full price is even solid if you're a big souls-like fan).

I think enigma pre nerf is an easy S tier. But after playing with it post nerf it's hard to keep it that high when you see what it could be. Ill concede Star shot could've been rated higher, S tier seems generous though haha 😇

It's too dangerous to use without a full stack of Kinship, but outdoor places like N'Erud or Yaesha is a good area to use it.

@iMaPound does Archers crest make a noticeable difference? Been trying to use that and haven’t noticed anything

When i was real new i ran extender on the "double" barrel shotgun. Gives it a 3rd barrel and faster reload. Not S tier but a lot of fun.
I feel this, I tried gambling with the refunder mutator. Sometimes you'd get 4 or 5 shots off before a reload if you were lucky!
Just bought the game last night on ps5 for 35 bucks. Can you play the whole game co op? Or are there certain parts that you have to play solo?
Except for the 10 min intro you can play the entire thing coop. And there's actually a few puzzles and dungeons that require 2 or more players

Royal Hunting Bow with FIrestorm + Nebula Mod = Unlimited use of mods. I honestly don't use normal Nebula but only it's mod and swap weapon.
