I heard a little cracking when you were tightening. I have a nM torque tool I got for $30 on Amazon. It didn’t click but heard small cracking. I don’t think it was the glass but don’t like that sound. So nervous not to destroy the glass. They say better to under than over torque.
    Thanks for putting this together.

I think the noise was the bracket creaking

Do you get any whistling sound while driving? I got some aftermarket ones and I am ready to throw them out. The sound of whistling is making me go crazy.

I always have music pumping on the stereo. But no it doesn’t whistle.

No problem. Make sure your brackets are in the right spot under the metal and don’t overnighten the bolts

Is it powder coated or anodized? Will it last?

So far so good and it always has salty surfboards on it. I think they are anodised.

Does it come with torque wrench or driver?

No it doesn’t. The torque settings is very small. Just a bit more than finger tight
