How does this compare to Splendor? The mechanics seem somewhat similar. Do you recommend one over the other?

I think Century: Spice Road has a little more depth than Splendor. Timing out the rest action and getting your cards working together make Century a more rewarding engine builder compared to the simpler straight forward ramp in Splendor. That being said, Splendor is easier to teach. However, I would always pick Century first if I had the choice. Both games are great though.
