  • In April 2021 we took our Gen 3 Suzuki Jimny on an epic adventure across Botswana. With our route plan done by Ultimate Routes we spent 30 days exploring the most beautiful and wild places we have ever experienced.
In Part 2, we travel to Kori Camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) and spend 5 days soaking up the magic of the Deception Valley.
A full rig walk around is coming soon!
    (here is a quick description)
Modular design custom back board, fridge box + slider and double sided removable pigeonhole by John Leyden - DM for details.
Interior & overlanding gear upgrades to Jimnothy were done by African Sky Adventure Company - This includes our battery system, fridge, extra lights, awning, strengthened and serviced our Front Runner Roof Rack, refitted our roof top tent to accommodate two jerrycans and had previously fitted the Front Runner under roof rack table kit, the drop down tailgate prep table, and the African Sky interior roof storage net. www.afriskyadventure.co.za/
Mechanical upgrades to Jimnothy were done in 2020 Zombie Offroad - This includes 50 mm Des Sol 4x4 Adventure Hardware lift kit, supplied with Gabriel HDP Shocks, the Zombie Offroad steering damper, as well as the extended brake lines, EBC Brake pads, and 32 mm wheel spacers. zombieoffroad.co.za/
We also upgraded our tyres to the 215/75 R15 General Grabber AT3 at BestDrive specifically for Botswana
Tracks4Africa hard copy maps and Garmin digital maps highly recommend.

Love that you are enjoying our videos! We call that the death wobble over here. You ca ususally sort it out by getting your wheels and tyres balanced. If it's not that it could be your bearings or even your bushings. We get our tyres balanced very often, especially after a road trip. Also make sure you are running the correct tyre pressures (1.6 in the front, 1.7 in the back) it makes a huge difference. Safe travels through the Andes, what a pleasure the journey will be!

Was in Kruger park. Near the Sable Hide was a pride of 10 lions.
Unless someone showed you where they were you would not see them.
They were only 15meters from us.
    Amazing ability to disappear.
Would really love to do a Botswana trip.

What an awesome adventure! Just one question: was that 20l jerrycan of water the only water you had? Sounds very little. :)

Thanks so much. We really appreciate it. We are using a Gopro hero 7 white and Nikon D3400, a tripod and bean bag. We then use a stabilisation in Adobe Premiere to take out the little bumps.
