Overlanding Central Kalahari Game Reserve | Fuel, Fires & Felines | Episode 4

  • With months of planning and 1000's of kilometres apart 4 TH-camrs decided to go on a journey together into one of the remotest regions in Africa, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). Not only did we enter the CKGR, but we transversed it's great plains from North to South. A journey that took us 12 days to complete with plenty of challenges in the way. From rain, to capturing wildlife at it's very best in terms of kills, punctures and far far too many snakes, it was an adventure second to none.
    Our final part of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve series comes to its last episode as we make our way from Bape to Molose in the Khutse Game Reserve. A favourite place of ours as the once amazing waterhole has always been a fruitful playground to both lion and elephant alike. We aim our vehicles South finally to drive the 96km of REALLY thick sand down to Khutse. With the sand being thicker than i have ever experienced it, suddenly fuel becomes a problem for us all. The vehicles going through far more litres than expected and the sand only getting worse.
    Arriving in Molose we spend an afternoon relaxing and catching up on much needed cold beverages before heading off for a late afternoon game drive. Beautiful as always the waterhole is calm and peaceful with an abundance of game coming in for a late afternoon drink, much like we needed while in camp.
    Our focus after Molose was to head to the main Khutse Camps themselves...the rest of the story i leave you to follow from the video...ENJOY!!!!

    It's in the Kalahari desert where Yashua/Jesus will lowering down His New Jerusalem, somewhere after 1 May 2025. No wonder it has the biggest underground lake in the world. It's also the desert where the Woman (one church) of Revelations 12 will be kept safe underground.

      Howzit Anthony, ok so the specifics are as follows:
      Canon 200D - pretty much everything
      Canon LEGRIA HF R76 - only if i have the wrong lens on the DSLR and need to zoom quickly
      2 x Gopro Hero 2's (driving footage only)
      2 x RODE VideoMic Compact On-Camera Microphone (1 on DSLR and the other on the gopro facing me in the car)

    Do you drive the 4.2 or 4.5?
    Also any advice regarding buying a patrol vs a cruiser

    • @MyLifeinAfrica
      @MyLifeinAfrica  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cruiser is a 4.2 straight 6, slow but solid. I have not had a patrol so cannot compare the 2, i am definitely a cruiser fan though, both are juice guzzlers so you will need to decide on what you can find and what suits your needs for travel!
