It's so cool William. This video have perfectly answered my question about using goggle in mavic air 2 that i just bought last week. Big warm regards from Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Yuneec googles also work with any USB connected controller for DJI drones. They are priced very reasonably. I have used both DJI Googles and the Yuneec as I have a Typhoon H Plus and DJI drones.
A small question about the litchi app > Can all this be done offline. Which stages definitely need to have mobile internet ? And which stages can make do without ? I mean i usually fly at places with no mobile internet or wifi. Hell i don't even have a sim card inside my drone phone (bec i use that brand new phone exclusively as a drone phone). So will i be able to use waypoints offline ?
I bought a 4' lightning to micro usb cable and connected my phone to my controller and using the Litchi app. I'm getting a message indicating I don't have enough power to work the Litchi app. I've connected a 12" lightning to micro usb cable and the app works fine. It was also nearly impossible to find a lightning to micro usb cable that was 4' long since usb-c is now out there. Can you tell me where I can find a lightning to micro usb cable that will work with this application?
Hi William, thanks for your Video! What do i need , to use the Nvidia Shield or any other Tablet with HDMI Output for FPV? I want to buy a Mavic 2 Pro , but their GogglesRE cost arround 500 EUR! And do i have the same functions in FPV with the tablet as i have over the original DJI Goggles? And what would be the best Goggles then!? ...best Regards!
Juerhe1 - With the NVidia Shield tablet, you can use the fat shark goggles. There are a number of TH-cam videos that show the operation and the connection process.
It has very little delay maybe less than 1/2 second I haven't timed it but it's more than the race type goggles as it has to encode the video to wifi and then decode. But the delay from the lutchi app is about the same as the DJI goggles. I wouldn't go racing with them but for filming they work great. I hope that helps
I had a question you may not know the answer to but I'll ask anyways. So if you crash using then litci app does that void your DJI care if you have it since you were using a 3rd party app instead of dji go 4? Also what is the sd card in the dji goggles even for if you can't get the flight data off of it?
To answer your question yes DJI can refuse to repair/replace it under warranty or care refresh if it crashes using litci. I have read that some people have had luck getting it repaired/ replaced but if they feel the issue was a result of using the app they can refuse and the litci app doesn't give you the flight logs you need for warranty. as for the sd card slot in the goggles it is to review the footage after your flight if you take the card out of the drone you can view it in the goggles. Kind of pointless to me
@@NYC11435 - So having the DJI Care package negates DJI's concern about not using their app nor their goggles, if a crash or accident were to happen. And they'll honor the Care Refresh warranty?? Considering all FPV Flight options :).
your phone has better screen than goggles. it is jut split on app for cheaper version, but why need split? just use dji go 4 and see full screen. it work?
Jari Sipilainen because it is so close to your eyes it needs to run in split screen to look normal. Kind of like stereoscopic 3D with an image for the left and right eye it’s not in 3D since we only have one camera. There are some larger headsets that place the phone farther from your eyes and do not run in split screen.
you can take off if you move the sticks to the middle and down the props will arm and star then you can take off by throttling it up. If thats what you were asking?
funny is that it not show same screen than phone, but yes then they could not ask more money. cost too much like drones. yeah you would not buy it if know it workss what you allready have and get same thing
Appreciated the sundown. I was looking at the cheap VR BOX goggles but the Utopia360's look pretty good for my MM. Thanks. I've subscribed! 👍
Appreciated your run-down of drone and goggles ... 😏

Besides maybe visibility ,Is flying the drone with the Googles on better in terms of avoiding obstacles as well ?
Ive watched 10 or so of your videos in the last year . bout time I subscribe huh??
but by using the 360 (or any goggle)... wouldnt it be difficult to tweak around with the camera and video settings?
That is true however I typically do not change video setting during a shoot.
Great video william !! +One fan from canada
Good information. DJI Goggles refurbished,$279 just as good as new, same warranty. I enjoy using them with my AIR. Thanks again👍👍😎✌
How does your goggles worked out?

Awesome video!! I use the Spark Pro app, it does the split vr as well. After watching this I think I’m going to have to give this a try.

Does it supposed DJI mavic Mini
Excellent well explained video you do a good job 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for the video, it help me a lot to decided if i should buy or not the DJI googles
Best from Colombia🇨🇴
Excellent job
@William Jones Can you disable the headfunction for looking up and down? And if you can, does the gimball on the remotecontroller still work?
Yes you can choose head tracking or not with head tracking off the gimbal dial still controls the gimbal
Nice work!!
Thanks Will
Glad you liked it
Do you know if the Eachine EV200D is compatible with the Mavic Pro?
No it would not work with the Mavic Pro it uses a different protocol for the video the Pro uses ocusync
What’s they delay between the googles and the drone cam?

What about either goggles with glasses?
I haven't used them with glasses I think you would have better luck with the DJI but I have no experience. Sorry
@@wjones1972 I find now that the DJI goggles have a nice slot designed for glasses frames. My guess is the $25 will not
