I used apps also to do my budgeting because really, it helps a lot. Nagiging aware ka ano pinaka gastos mo. However, these apps are also with pay. So what I did, I created my own excel sheet na naka-formula na. 😊

I just got back to listing my expenses after 2 years and super nagulat ako sa nilaki ng gastos ko. Before, I was earning just enough so I was very conscious of how much I spend pero nung naging relaxed na ko narealize ko napapamahal din ang mga pinipili ko. I can say I already have my 1yr emergency fund so retirement fund naman ang focus ko this year. And start a "leisure fund" for travel and misc big purchases. I'll achieve this by making sure I live below my means so my expense per month should not be more than what I earn. Anything above should be taken from the leisure fund and if it's not enough, then hindi pa pwede gumastos.
Another thing I think not a lot of people talk about is earning more. Either hustle and work more jobs, or better find a better-paying job/business. I don't think I will be where I'm at right now financially if I didn't find a way to increase my income. Puro saving kase ang topic pero hindi malaki ang impact if your base income stays the same.
Grabe po 'yung 5:06. Been asking my Mom about investments, insurance, and all. I realized na unknowingly pala, medyo nape-pressure po ako because of what some of my friends and most of millennials online do. Then ganyan lang din po talaga sinasabi ni Mom na focus muna ako sa Savings. Having heard it from someone like you po, medyo naging kampante rin ako sa advice ni Mommy hahaha. Just started watching videos like this and nakakatuwang concise lang po at nagegets ko rin. Kala ko po tatamarin akong tapusin vids tulad nito e. Haha.
