Hi Scan N Cut users, I have a Scan N Cut CM 100, I love making Mary's designs from SVG Cuts. Today I was making her Dragonfly Stained Glass lamp. When I tried to open the stained glass file, it wouldn't open because it was too complicated for my machine. I almost cried when I thought I couldn't make it. I had already bought the supplies. Well, I had a thought and I opened it in Canvas and re-saved it under another name. It did say that some info. would be lost but I never really saw any difference. Anyway, it opened right away. Yay!
for my vellum pieces I printed out wallpaper backgrounds that turned out awesome, paua shell, stained glass , and flowers, did my lamp in base in white and took ink pads to the edges and deco art metallic rub on paint to add shimmer all to embossed areas. I'll post a pic to their site,.. so proud of myself and how it came out,.. and IT'S JUST PAPER! lol
In case anyone else was intimidated with the thought of getting the dragonfly wing veins right, I found that printing the PDF page with the example of how to draw the veins at 115% size matched that section of the shade perfectly. I was able to place the dragonfly vellum pieces over it and trace the lines easily.
+svgcuts You might consider adding a note about it in the instructions for your customers, like me, who envy the drawing skills of a three year-old. :)
Mary thank you for the Free Svg of this box card. But....I can't figure out how to cut and score the box on the mac. I never used to have a problem with the other svgs I have bought from you. Can you do a tutorial on how to attach them files so they will score and cut cause I'm at a loss. Sorry
Hi Enedina! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. Since you had mentioned "attaching" them, it sounds like you're probably using the Cricut Design Space software. Is that the case? If so, It sounds like you may need to “attach” the score lines in the Cricut Design Space software. Select the file on your mat 2.
