I'm glad that First are coming back to London. With some of their older vehicles still in service it's like they never left which is kinda funny. I wonder if them buying RATP has anything to do with the potential re-nationalisation of the railways since First also own some big railway companies like GWR and that could be a big loss to them if railway tenders are removed.
Yeah it's cool that they'll be using their old buses again, although I'm guessing they'll only be around for a few months after they take over. I'm glad the railways are finally being re-nationalised, First (and MTR) run my local TOC (SWR) and they're pretty bad on it, although I'm loving the delay times on introducing the Aventras lol
Probably also because they never intended to sell off in the first (pun not intended) place, but were forced into it after the previous CEO went bonkers buying overseas operations. The loss of the railways could also be a factor in them moving back in - I wonder if London goes well for them if they might be interested in moving into the southeast. I would absolutely accept First buying out Arriva's operations here in Kent given that the latter company is failing and gradually selling it's businesses off and they've never been a particularly good service around here.

Oh ok. I don't think first would keep the London United, London Sovereign or London Transit logos on buses though (not the legal lettering). And I did make a mistake where I implied that all buses will be refurbished since they obviously won't refurb the ones that are about to be withdrawn or have already been refurbished
@kurinchikankesavan9866 there's more than two SN09s left. And yeah it's a shame there's now no evidence of First in Uxbridge. It's also weird how the school routes at PB and EW meant that the W8 and W9 stole the last First buses at UX
What im interested about is what the new interiors will bring. After all, to this day, the nicest buses ive travelled on in london are probably the Gemini 2s with the classy first london interior. Especially on the early b9tls with glazed windows 👌
Yeah those ex First B9TLs are so good, especially with the windows as you said. I don't understand why no other operators used it. It'll be a shame if First stop ordering those extremely comfortable high spec seats that RATP have got for the 226, 295 and 31, 33 and 218 in the future.
They look like the same colour but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a different shade of light blue. The RATP ones with yellow handrails are all gone now. I'm pretty sure they are ex NCP challenger / NSL buses
@Mohammedlovestflforever they'll get the first interior for new buses ofc and I think they'll probably fit all buses with the first moquette (maybe not if they were refurbished recently though).
DM closed in September 2013. First were obviously selling out their operations so their garages went to Metroline, Tower Transit and GAL. DM wasn’t scuppered up by Tower Transit or GAL. Once the 165/179/252/365 passed to Stagecoach, DM closed up and it’s been used by many companies like Ocado. Now the DM site is empty and is for sale currently
Can I jus ask where you saw the info about interior being fitted to first and fleetcodes changing. Because due to my info that hasnt been announced yet
Oh yeah sorry about that. I didn't find anything about that but I just thought it would be happening since they probably wouldn't keep the RATP Dev logos and branding if they were taking it over.
I am glad that First is coming back after nearly 12 years. It’d be nice to see routes in south london operated by first such as 71, 293 and 467. Sad that no routes from North/North East/East London will not have any routes operated by First. I can’t wait for kt
As Arriva is failing and will crash out of London by the end of the decade, they will leave a gap in the market and it's possible that First could come back to those areas if their initial west London operation goes well.
@@MostlyBuses1 I wonder if First could move into East London and take back the 150, along with the other ex-First routes in the area... Stagecoach essentially dominates East London now and needs a bit of viable competition.

The 452 has enough hybrids for a retention with First. I can certainly see it keeping the EvoSetis and the StreetDecks until December 2030 for 5 years. So far X haven’t had issues with them and I don’t get why the VDWs have been kept
@londonbus_46 Agreed. RATP London United was my childhood so it'll be sad to see them go but at the same time it'll be really cool to see my old locals under a different operator.
i doubt first would get any other routes it used to formerly own from another company such as the 207, sl8 (formerly 607), and more but it would definetely feel weird seeing first back in london after such a long time
@@MostlyBuses1It’s going to be hard to reallocate those 16/67 reg VHs from the 18 as pretty much all RATP routes are allocated to hybrids/electrics. Maybe the VHs can convert E3 fully to a G3 operation as the E400Hs are old, they can also be used to win the 292 from BT, they can also go to the 293/467 and withdraw the E400s used on those routes.
The 293 has just been retained with those single deck MMCs. Would’ve been a great choice to deck it with 67 reg VHs but seems TFL don’t want to specify a lot of routes like the 355 to be decked either and keep it ridiculously single deck. Even Surrey’s newspapers state that the 293 is busy and needs deckers as passengers have complained of being left behind in most peak hours. The E3 is on a 3 year contract unfortunately so it wouldn’t be wise using a full VH allocation when they can be pushed to longer 5 year contracts. The E3 will be keeping a 62 reg ADH allocation as well as a 65/16 reg VH allocation with the 60 regs all gone. ADH45012-014 are only staying as some of the 16 reg VHs destined for the E3 are at FW for the 65 and 281’s PVR increases along a sole 65 reg until the 295’s BCEs move over to FW. Using the 18’s VHs to win the 292 would be a great move but does BT have the space? I can’t see HD keeping the 292, either the 292 stays with Metroline and goes to PB which have some space leftover or if it goes to RATP then it’ll have to be run from CP which is BT’s outstation. The 467 will be staying ADE operation and the 293 will keep 1 decker working which is an ADE allocated anyways.
@@zfs.59 I know 293 was just retained with those MMCs I was talking about the double decker working that does the 293 which is a E400. I do agree tho that 293 should be fully decked however TfL just don't care like you said you got 355 and others like 95/112/316 that should be decked but TfL don't care enough, 293 could've at least got a PVR increase by 3 to 10 buses. Tbf I can see G bidding for the E3 at the end of its contract if V can't be electrified, we'll see how first does again with the E3. If 295s BCEs do move to FW for the 65/281 then 295 might aswell fully convert to OMEs eventhough its on a "future spec" contract, that would leave a few more spare BCEs and 1 can move over to BT for 125s increase it just 1 bus and the rest of the BCEs can be used to win a route like the 292 or something. I think BT have enough space to fit 1 more route in then again if there isn't space then 226 can move to X which is much better placed for the 226 anyway than BT even S is a better location than BT for the 226 but S haven't got space, we could just see ML retain the 292 and maybe move back to EW as they've got space to fit the 292 the max capacity is 89 and they're on around 77 rn.
S can have space by moving the 72 to V to fit the 226 in. X is well located for the 226 and in fact, the 70 can go to X and then the 226 moves in to S which can intermix with the C1’s batch of BEs. Yeah but the chargers at EW has taken up the space which is why the 292 can’t return to Edgware otherwise it would’ve already been run from there in the first place instead of HD. The 292 could likely be snapped up by RATP using some of the 18’s VHs and it can go to CP which is basically ran by BT anyways so the 292’s VHs can go on the 79 and BT’s ADHs and VHs can go on the 292 vice versa with common blinds
How many ex First vehicles do RATP have if any? rail renationalisation means there is a good chance companies like First Group may purchase more companies.
I was thinking that as well. First will have huge losses in the rail operator industry if re-nationalisation does go ahead (no pun intended), so investing more into bus operation would be a safe bet for them.
MostlyBuses, FirstBus London is going to operate London Buses again but in next year. Yes, that's because from 1995 to 2013 First London has been operating London Buses for 18 Years so hopefully it's going to return to London Bus Operation in 2025. My friend name called 'Mohammed' announced that First Bus will return to London Bus Operation in next year 2025 when Me and Mohammed was in College. Anyway, Enjoy 😃!
RATP Dev Transit London: London United, London Sovereign and London Transit will be acquired by FirstBus in next year so RATP London will no longer operating London Buses in 2025 because RATP London is old. RATP London is now becoming London's Oldest Bus Operating Company. No more RATP London!

The OmniCities on the 207 only lasted until 2017. The 427 loss to TUK meant its ex-First VWs and some native 12/62 reg batches were spare so it was decided to reallocate those to the 207 and then the OmniCities would be sent off lease and now they reside in Ipswich
The only reason why First are returning to London is because the rest of the country is now seeing bus services regulated far greater than when they sold their London operations in 2013. There are also rumours that Go-Ahead might loose their Manchester Bee Network contract due to "poor performance", with such reasoning being why they sold their TfL bus operations in the first place. This will also mean that we will now get the horrible new FirstBus logo applied to all buses.

Oh yeah I used the TfL website for the list of routes and it seems like they haven't updated it in a while so sorry abt that
How many ex First vehicles do RATP have if any? rail renationalisation means there is a good chance companies like First Group may purchase more companies.
@@darylyatestransportblogs watch until the end of the video. I talk about ex First buses there
Not many.
@ yep I’ve seen it I’m very curious just how many First Group spec vehicles are still in London.
I've just looked it up. The ex First fleet includes
DE20149-156
ADH45061-78
VDW41001-7
And a few ex First ADEs
I think that's all
I was thinking that as well.

@londonbuses4763 I hope they leave the ones that were just refurbished untouched since it would be a huge waste although Stagecoach have been refurbishing a lot of ex TT and HCT buses so I don't have high hopes

@MostlyBuses1 FGP and BNJ
@@MostlyBuses1 Omnicity having to take responsibility for itself, 207 got Scanias.
