I’m on the fence on it. I sort of like it. However I really wish BMW would still putting more silver on the triple black. 3 more generations from now the triple black won’t have any black on it whatsoever.
The 2006 GSA had a 33 litre tank but actually took 35+ litres easily. I rode 375+ miles on a tank more than once on PCH1, So this new 1300 GSA's tank is certainly not the largest of a production bike. Maybe for these young guys it is something extraordinary.
So, 4th quarter of this year our friends across the pond with see it. While here in the US we won't see one until late spring. I have never seen a new GS in the showroom selling at the base price. Every one of them will always have the Premium Package added. So most the new 1300G GS at the dealers range from 26k to over 29k. The current GSA starts at 2k higher than the 1300 GS. So, the new one will most certainly top out above 30k. I have considered one in the past but at those prices it's a hard pass for me.
Remove all the tech, remove all the bling bits, drastically reduce its weigth, and make it around 900cc while still keeping weight low of the boxer and you have a real long range adventure bike. This bike is an escalade on 2 wheels for Starbucks.
Thx for the information on the GSA, as a current GSA owner…always curious what is next…maybe one of the outliers opinion but I like the squarish look. GS’s have always pushed what is attractive, but they usually sell, and sell well. The accessories look much better this time around as well. The industry uses them as a benchmark for a reason! As you stated there are some who can handle these bikes on a single track, not one for sure but the bike in off-road is incredibly capable in the right hands, and it has saved my butt in some stupid situations off road. The KTM, Ducati even PanAmerican bikes are big bikes to handle off road too, but the boxers lower center of gravity is a hard to beat edge…and this new one continues that…looking forward to seeing one in person! Thx again for the discussion.
Welp, it looks like the street value of my low-mileage 2020 GSA just went up a smidge. I normally would be up for moving up a few model years but this thing is a big nope.
I currently have a 22 1250 GSA. I love it. I’ll be pricing out the 1300 gs adventure triple black fully loaded for sure. If it gets above $30k with panniers then I may pass unless BMW has some sort of 0-1% financing option and I may go for it then. Since I finance my toys, $30k at 7% or whatever it is right now for 60months is too much. I’ll end up paying over $35k and that’s just not going to work for me. Granted I’ll probably have it paid off in 2 years but still that’s just too much for a bike.
I haven't made a nice comment about this thing yet. I think it is fair to say I should perhaps reserve my decision on it's looks until seeing one in person. But damn!
Well, It looks way better than the 1300 for sure! More futuristic! HOWEVER!!... I will still want a 1250!! BMW has a massive task on their hand trying to keep the hardcore old fan base & also attracting new buyers. Sadly, the world is now more woke than ever and manufacturers need to sell it to them. It is what it is. I guess, You just go out and buy what your heart desires ! I mean, I still like the KTM 950/990 Adventure over their 1290. So it's just preference I suppose. 🙃
what is BMW targeting expedition riders for Discovery/National Geographic? a select few hah? the weight is insane. I will ride my Hexhead for the rest of my life if BMW don't get their act together.
I saw a few parked while passing the Pride parade 🏳️🌈 near where I live. Nice looking bike. Probably rides well. Still prefer my Kawasaki, but I don’t judge. Live and let live.
*I love my KAWASAKI Vulcan 650 S - Greetings from sunny tropical Thailand. Johnny BikeSanooK! The septuagenarian Full tilt rider. Where. Here between the mountains and rice paddies in northern Thai hinterland.*
I don’t know, I kinda like the look of it. I’d need to do a full test ride to create a review, but we’ll see how many people are polarized about it on our Facebook page.
Two weeks ago I bought a 2024 GSA R1250 because I couldn't wait until "the release of the 1300GSA next year"..FMD, thank god i grabbed it before it was replaced with this ugly mofo of a bike. To me, it looks like a large military robodog, Fn hideous.
Can you imagine una motorcycle wet road the forward collision gets activated on a slight curve? You’ll be dying straight to the asphalt. Everything is good except that system.
no it has 6 -axial… But! Tractor trails have had these for many years. Just imagine how I feel running hundred thousand pound doubles at 2 AM with nobody on the highway and the Forward collision doesn’t like what it sees and I mean it will lock it down on you.
I like the GS 1200 model year 2010-2012 the best. The more electronics and exhaust gas purification blah blah the less this is something to have. Not even 7 gears in 2025 is pathetic. Not 8 either ha ha. Automatic semi and more would be interesting. Instead, uglier, more electronics and an engine with a shorter stroke. This is not a GS at all, I think. Bigger tank only on the touring GS 1300 as I call it.
GS riders: this new R1300GS looks kinda weird (2023). BMW (2024): hold my beer son and watch this, here's the new GSA!
Can't wait to see your review 🔥 my prediction is, you are gonna end up getting this one instead of the gs
I try to not have many opinions, but this is pretty darn UGLY! And I’m a 3-time (3 model) GSA owner. Very disappointed!
What are you doing here, throttle junky? 🤣
@tonybaker5775 all the GS variants have been ugly bikes. It must be a hell of a bike to sway people.
😂😂😂 right Ian
It was a long wait but at least now I can cross it off my wishlist.
This is genius from BMW. Now the regular R1300GS looks pretty nice compared to this 🤣🤣
LOL
Only a mother can love this. How ugly do you want it? Yes
I like it it looks pretty rugged, I think it looks good
WHAT ARE THEY SMOKING
Looks like it was made by LEGO ... only a face a mother could love, I'll keep my old 1250GS thanks!
Don’t blame you !
I showed a picture of this bike to a blind man, even he thought it was butt ugly.
@@AussieDazza 😂😂
BMW designers : Lets just put a top box instead of a fuel tank
Looks like a PanAmerica from the side😮.
Oh hell no! Not even for $10,000.
Wow they made the standard 1300GS look good
That tank is FUGLY.
Someone needs to be fired
My 2024 1250 GSA will hold its value for sure. I see nothing I like about the looks of this bike.
Can I have one with ABS, ESA and cruiser control only? This bike has way too much stuff that I don't need. Its ridiculous
I like it. Boxy for the boxer!
The Lego Convergence is real.
Dafuq is this?! Looks like a power generator.
I’m on the fence on it. I sort of like it. However I really wish BMW would still putting more silver on the triple black. 3 more generations from now the triple black won’t have any black on it whatsoever.
No joke. Don’t get how you make a triple black that isn’t all black 🤷♂️
The 2006 GSA had a 33 litre tank but actually took 35+ litres easily. I rode 375+ miles on a tank more than once on PCH1, So this new 1300 GSA's tank is certainly not the largest of a production bike. Maybe for these young guys it is something extraordinary.
😂😂😂
In my bmw1200 mod:09 with 33L tank in one travel i have it 645 kilometers.
Almost looks like they're putting the luggage system in front of the rider. Waht do the panniers look like ?
디자이너는 연료탱크를 그리기 전에, 카시오 G-shock 을 보고 좀 더 고민했어야 했다.
Just when you thought a motorcycle couldn’t get any uglier, they introduce this atrocity!!!
From the side it looks like what people in 1980 thought future bikes would look like
It looks like it's made out of lego.

That would be the new 900 sub 500 lb
Uhhh there is a 900 GS. 🤷♂️
This is intentionally designed to be an adventure beast that long hauls just as well.
Are you aware that you are basically talking about the original GS?
just go and buy a triumph tiger ;)
Wow, it has been beaten with the ugly stick. The Ducati Rally’s sales will go up with Quasimodo look-a-like

Agreed
BMW FIRE YOUR DESIGN TEAM I wouldn’t get caught dead on the R1300GS adventure ugly bruh
The handles on the engine crash bars are really strange looking. Why not adding trainings wheels instead? Or an automatic raising aid?
I like it and will go that way someday. But for now, I love my 2023 GSA.
Is today April 1st?
Welp, it looks like the street value of my low-mileage 2020 GSA just went up a smidge. I normally would be up for moving up a few model years but this thing is a big nope.
Thanks, I hate it.
Hey bro
Loved your content
Btw are you looking for video editor?
I really like it, when trade in time comes, I'll have a triple black 🖤🖤🖤
All that tech and still no backlit buttons. Ugly as sin too. Pass!
The Cybertruck of motorcycles.
I like the spokes
Hey, look fellas we’re all ugly too, and somebody found us attractive
Facts 😂
The new BMW Adventure off road washing machine.
Now has the looks of a tractor!!!
Exactly. One could however even go a step further. It looks like a lovechild between a tank and a tractor.
Trash. I'll stay with my Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally Black. Destroys this GenZ feetus
GenZ??? What are you even talking about? Enjoy your unreliable crap.

Random fact on the fuel capacity. KTM equipped their 2015-17 1290 Super Adventure (T) with a 7.9gal (30L) tank.
Most ugly bike ever. I’m in shock.
Lego approves
bmw designers watching too much russian turtle tank videos
Is this with the Lego filter?
I haven't made a nice comment about this thing yet. I think it is fair to say I should perhaps reserve my decision on it's looks until seeing one in person. But damn!
Just when you thought the GS couldn't get any uglier...
I’ll wait the 2300 cc 420 kg!
Monster...yup..Just like Frankenstein!
Really liking this new 1300 GSA. The 1250 GSA was ugly too, but to be honest all adventure bikes are ugly so I'm baffled by some of the reactions.
Im 5,6. Get a low seat and with all the other lowering options its easy
The 2024 stickers at $32000 when fully equipped. This bike will be more than many cars
This bike so heavy , no reverse gear! Will put a lot of people off.
Learn how to ride clown.

Man call me silly but I actually love it

silly!😂👍
OMG! Gsus! 🤮

Go back to 1250gs design please...
Holy cow literally. 700 pounds +50 pounds of gas and a few more lbs of oil!! These are status symbols.

It is a concrete bike mixer
its like a G-WAGON on 2 wheels, (ugly hot)
A Lego looking Hot-Mess, in pics anyway, it looks way Awkward. It looks like it's carrying a Genrac Generator & "Power washer" on it's profile shots.

You obviously have no idea what shiftcam means and how it works...
That is literally how it works...
The silly buggers have just forgotten to remove the false panels they install to disguise new bike when road testing before launch.
OMG a 600 lbs offroad bike. I won't be trading my Africa Twin... Half the money and 60 lbs lighter. Plus it's a Honda.
A washing machine, refrigerator, generator and copy machine all in one…..I’ll give you $2k after I’ve sucked down five German beers. WTH
what is BMW targeting expedition riders for Discovery/National Geographic? a select few hah? the weight is insane. I will ride my Hexhead for the rest of my life if BMW don't get their act together.
Adventure bikes, like SUV's are all about function over form. This is not a pretty or sexy bike, but then no adventure bike is.
I saw a few parked while passing the Pride parade 🏳️🌈 near where I live. Nice looking bike. Probably rides well. Still prefer my Kawasaki, but I don’t judge. Live and let live.

I love the new look, looks short and stubby length wise eve though it might be taller..... looks beefy like a man's man's Bike....😊
BMW app sucks so does there screens this needs to be fixed. They need to catch up to the new Harley screens.
Man this thing is getting horrible reviews
BMW is on a role screwing both the new R1300GS and M5.
i wont be getting one because i forgot to BMW bring my wallet.
Someone had a gun at BMW head
I like the look of it...but to me it is a technical Overkill. Most of the Features I have in my car...and there this shit is deactivated.
So BMW wins the 2024-2025 UGLIEST Motorbike award… It is called the QuasiMoto R1300GSA
Weirddddddddd 🙈🙈🙈

The forward collision can be turned off and the electronics will not locking up the tires buddy. The machine is smarter than you.
The system is designed for bikes; it isn’t a car system plugged in to 2 wheels. But cool story 😂

There's no such thing as an attractive adventure bike-just different degrees of ungainly and ugly. So pick your poison.
Terrible looking motorcycle. You have to look at it hideous.
Awful !
It’s sooooo ugly
