Wow, did not expect this one. It's a lesser known song by them, but extremely underrrated and not only my favorite Muse song, but my favorite song of all time. It's really beautiful and well written both instrumentally and vocally.
Wow, insane...this is unexpected. A song that deeply touches me, the melodies are stunning to me. And again I have a story, Brian ; ) I don't REALLY know why but 20 years ago people said Muse and Radiohead are very alike. I see that in so little ways though that I wonder what the fuzz was about back then or even now but anyway, both bands appreaciate and like each other greatly and "fate, it drives me away" is actually an hommage to Thom Yorke's opening line "fate, you're driving me away" in my favourite Radiohead song "My Iron Lung". In my personal top ten.
A funny but also sad fact about this (since it means it basically never gets played live) is that Matt seems to hate this song. Whenever Dom would suggest playing it, Matt would respond with "f**k off" or the like. The only reason it was played here was because the fans voted it in, so Matt had to deal with it 😂 Other than that, it was also played after Bush had been announced that he'd won the re-election in 2004 (?). Everyone was feeling really heavy and despaired then, so the band played it.
Funny you mention odd feels, because they do have a song in 5/4 called "Animals", off of The 2nd Law. The studio recording is great, but the one at Shepherd's Bush for the War Child 20th Anniversary is my favorite. Not an "official" recording like the Rome Olympic Stadium 2013 performance, but the mix with the crowd subtly added in really adds to it, especially during the climax of the song.
This is my 2nd favorite Muse song (after Take a Bow), i'm so hyped for this reaction!! even tho i would have prefered the studio version because i don't think this live version renders justice to the song.
this song is the bonus track of Black Holes and Revelations, it was only featured on the japanese edition of the album. Obviously it's now incorporated in the album's tracklist on the streaming services.
@@GuitarSoloReactions oh I just noticed that I made a typo that actually says the opposite of what I was saying, I meant « obviously it’s NOW incorporated in the album’s track list on streaming services »

Hannes, I agree on most counts. I still have yet to establish my top five.

Best gig of my life, this is what happens when Muse let the fans pick the setlist, we chose this, muscle museum, easily and showbiz
Gracias por esta! Por favor, Eternally missed 🤘✨
¡Gracias por ver! Eternally Missed todavía está bloqueado, pero tal vez pronto lo muestre. paz del noroeste.

I would agree, I just love doing live stuff warts and all.
This song has moments of U2 in it. And I mean that in the best way.
Please react to Muse - Invincible (live)!! Or Bliss (live at Live 8)
Matheus, I have done that one, but it’s blocked. Hopefully the video gets unblocked soon.
