  • A North Carolina man was heading home after work late one night in November of 2006. While driving down this remote and winding road he encounters something big and terrifying along side the road. This Thing began to chase his truck while he feared for his life.
He describes his experience in detail on a phone call with me!

I have a couple of buddies that are so wrapped up in politics and gossip. Drives me nuts, I can't get them to talk about anything else. Couple weeks ago I told them to check out this channel, that Chris talks about the exact same political things they do. Well as it turns out they both have become subscribers and love these stories and scenery Chris brings us weekly. So Chris I owe you a huge Thank You for that, the past few times I've talked to these knuckleheads it's been about mountains, camping, travel, and BIGFOOT! I must say in closing that I am very much worried about this great country but we still have to live our lives everyday. Now my only concern is if these guys will still do our annual backcountry camps and hunts or will they be too scared now 😆... they have become quite curious about these kinds of encounters where we go! Thanks again Chris, watch yourself out there💪

I am a trucker and i was driving about 10 pm on I 64 heading East, but 64 can be rather quiet and narrow on places.
I was about the only trucker on the road, and there were no cars, not a full moon or anything.,
You know how when there are NO lights above , ahead of you, nor in back of you , it's just DARK.
All of a sudden , the yellow line to the left of the passing lane was just missing and I thought , " oh , something like a bear is crossing because it reappeared, the yellow line and my headlights caught a dark shiny , hairy , uhhhmm what looked like a long armed Ape with knees bent with a slight run going from the median grassy side, the fast lane , crossing in front of me to the RIGHT side of the road and the White line then disappeared for a couple of seconds .......... so I knew it , whatever IT means...............lol ..... just slinked into the ditch on the right side of the slow lane !!
I actually couldn't understand or comprehend what I was looking at going from Left to right without stopping and knees were bent slightly , arms were long and moved smoothly just sleek as could be!
I wasn't too scared because it didn't seem like 'IT' wanted to wait for my truck to be near it.
However, I was in shock because it definitely was NOT a bear walking upright with slightly bent knees and there was NO light fur, just a reflection of my headlights off it's very shiny and pretty brown/black hair. A perfect masterpiece of a ' BEAST' ........ so I had a renewed respect for people who have actually said they have seen a Bigfoot.
It wasn't a huge size but about maybe 6-7 feet tall, it's shoulders would definitely be about a few inches above my headlights, ... I drive an 18 wheeler.

A friend of mine had a similar experience in NW Montana back in the early 70s. He was driving on a forest service road on his way home after a fishing trip. It was dark and he was driving slowly because of the rutted, curvy dirt road when he came around a bend and a huge 'something' slid down an embankment in front of his truck. He said it spun around and angrily slapped it's hairy hands on his hood (he had slammed on the brakes and didn't hit it) and then swiftly ran into the forest on the other side. This guy was a 4th generation Montanan, raised on a ranch and was a skilled hunter/fisherman etc. He knew all the wildlife in those mountains including bears and he swore it was some kind of enormous ape-man.

Avery County is a very rugged, beautiful mountainous area in the northern part of NC. It’s not far from Mt. Mitchell which is the highest mountain east of the Mississippi River. This story takes place up the road from Banner Elk and about two hours or so northeast of Asheville. This area has had Bigfoot sightings before. Thanks for a great story!

Hey Chris! Really enjoyed the story as usual! Really liked being able to hear the conversation between you and Shannon and hearing his story firsthand. You know I’ve been doing section hikes on the AT for the past 7yrs and when I started past Fontana Dam going into the mountains where it goes along the ridge line and zigzags back and forth between Tennessee and North Carolina I got a very uneasy feeling and my gut was screaming for me to go back, which I did. I skipped that section entirely and until I find a big group to go with I have no intention of going there!!

Chris, this guy's story is intriguing and seems credible. It's scary but fascinating. I've always assumed that these creatures are harmless because they've come close to people's tents and so forth but this one seemed aggressive. If I were that close to one I would grab my phone and take a pic. I don't see why people haven't done that. I know fear keeps one from doing alot of things but I want to see pictures. I believe anything is possible and maybe even the government is keeping secrets and not letting people privy to what they know. This is a great story!! Stay safe out there Chris! ❤️

I have heard other stories of them being aggressive also. Dogmen, on the other hand, are usually always aggressive and will stalk people (and, when in groups, will try to circle around a person or animal). Sometimes, they just want to terrorize.

North Carolina is my home state. I mainly grew up in Texas (which is my second home state), when I was seven we moved to Texas but I was born and raised there until we moved. Both my parents were and their families were born and raised there as well going back generations. We visited NC all the time growing up going to see family and all that good stuff. When we traveled there from Texas we always drove through Arkansas and Tennessee, on in to NC. I’m really surprised we never saw Bigfoot because we did a lot of driving in early morning on into the night and anyone the has traveled by car from state to state knows most of that travel is through the middle of nowhere with just lots and lots of forest. I’m sure they were out there sometimes where we were driving through but never saw the big guy.
I have to say though I was a little surprised that he said he grew up hearing about Bigfoot at first because in the South you don’t grow up hearing about Bigfoot like you might growing up in the Pacific Northwest. Unless of course you grew up somewhere like Fouke Arkansas ( which we drove past all the time going to NC before I heard the famous story from there) but him saying his grandfather or dad saw them different times, then that makes sense him growing up hearing about Bigfoot.
I forgot to mention that multiple summers we went to spend 4th of July at a campground that some of my Dad’s side of the family rented for years on Brown Mountain. And anyone knows that area knows you go through Hickory to go up that mountain. Never had any experiences there myself but not to long ago a man from Hickory was on the news with a video recording of him coming across a Bigfoot in the woods there. Also my Mom had to sightings when she was a kid living in Pfaff Town (pronounced Pawf town). I may send those into you. They’re short but interesting. Plus I’d also like to send in an encounter my best friend (who is from Washington state) had when she was home alone with her younger brother. They were living in Bellingham Washington at the time.
Now we live in Florida, for the past 4 yrs, and they’ve got the Skunk Ape here! There’s actually been a lot of sightings in the county I live in (Hillsborough county)! Anywho…really cool to hear a story from my home state! Thanks to this guy for sharing and thanks Chris for sharing it on your channel. Love these stories! 😊

I have not seen a Big Foot and don't want to but have seen UFO's and had them follow us 100 miles from Indianapolis to almost Louisville. Then one time after church on a Sunday night I leaned back on my Ford Edge and looked up into the clear stary sky and saw what I thought was the space station moving slowing to the left, when suddenly it became several sm white lights and moved at the speed of lightening zigzagging all over the sky then I looked to my right and saw the same thing going on over there. I spoke to them and said" I know you are up there but I don't have to look at you." Then I went in my trailer.
    I appreciate your channel.

I grew up north of here in the corner of southwestern VA. When I was a kid, the In Search Of show with Leonard Nimoy was popular. I remember being scared after seeing the bigfoot episode and my dad explained that bigfoot lives way out in the forest of the Pacific Northwest. So I spent my whole life growing up in the forests there in VA, camping, etc. Never had any experiences there in the Appalachians. I wish my dad was still alive to hear these stories, especially since there have been rather recent reports of people encountering them in the wooded areas near my home town. If I had known those stories when I was a kid, I would never have left the house.

As he said, I grew up spending the summers in Tuolumne County, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in California which we moved there my freshman year in 82 but the summers was spent there with my Grandparents.. My Grandparents had a creek that ran behind their house that we'd go to to swim across the RR tracks when we could. We'd camp at Pinecrest off hwy 108.
And all the whoops, wood knocks and bent tree saplings weaved together bending down making an upside down U were all there along with rocks being thrown which I always thought were from other swimmer down at the creek and never played attention to them. I even seen dead trees upside down with the roots sticking up in the air and thought people did it and never gave it a second thought. It wasn't until I started watching these TH-cam videos that I started putting it all together and I've even heard stories from my home area a lot of them. I've never been in fear of hiking out in the woods, felt like I've been watched, yes, but there's lots of critters out there to watch us.. But we watch them too if given the opportunity. Some of the recorded sounds I've heard and I figured it was just people trying to scare us so I never moved from my warm spot at the fire and nothing more followed so maybe it was a human out there just trying to scare this country girl.. Better luck next time .. Maybe it'll be mine

There was a case of a state police officer in the Pine Barrens chasing a bigfoot down Sooy Place rd. Apparently the officer was driving at 35 mph and was level pegging the bigfoot which was running parallel to the road, at that speed through the forest, jumping over downed pine trees etc.

What an incredible tale of terror! OMG, I would have floored the Ford, too!! As a Minnesotan, I found the name of Minneapolis NC (pop 300) intriguing and a bit humorous because the Twin Cities, Minneapolis/St Paul metro (pop 3.5M), is about an hour west of me. I could only imagine the amount of videos of Bigfoot there would be if the creature was found at Minnehaha Falls or Lake Nokomis in MPLS, MN. The third Minneapolis in the US is in Kansas, pop 2K.

I was hiking on a trail in the redwoods in the late 80’s and we were a couple of hours in. There was one other car at the parking. We could see a switch back ahead and heard whooping and hollering and thought a group of young guys were messing around and getting rowdy and then it stopped and we thought we would pass them or see them and there was nothing 😮 I thought 🤔 That’s weird… Then I started getting a little scared and we have pictures of us looking up into the trees. We turned around and went back soon after. A side note… We did go over a broken tree that was laid across the trail.

Ive seen everything and i see wildlife every time i go out. Ive seen bear, elk, deer, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, rattlesnakes, buffalo, moose antelope and mountain lion.
I did have a bigfoot encounter in the black hills of south dakota. Was a minor encounter but basically the thing threw sticks at me and my wife and i saw it move between trees super fast was a juvenille and tan in coloration. Had a bad feeling like it was watching us we both had a bad feeling so we got out of there soon as we left the bad feeling went away.
