    2023 Sportage owner here. Going on to its second year --14,350 miles on it--so far, so GOOD! Oh, it's a gas one; I'm not psychologically ready for a Hybrid or PHEV!!! I guess I've been BLESSED!!!

    Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, etc., have their Recalls, WHY wouldn't Hyundai/KIA have them?! I own a 2012 2.4L Sorento with 102,500+ miles on it, and going strong! So I got my better half a 2023 Sportage---gas-powered---with the new 2.5L engine, and we're both in love with her! Getting way over the 32-mile-per-gallon rating!!!

    My daughter bought a 23 Sportage Hybrid in Jan 2023. The car threw "hybrid errors". Dealer couldn't fix. Manufacturer came, couldn't fix. Four months later the Manufacturer allowed her to return it under the lemon law... She never got a chance to add gas to the car.

    Hi, I started the Kia Sportage 2023 SUV, but it is showing the EPB symbol even though i haven't pressed any button. I tried to release EPB by pressing the break pedal, but it is not working. I have started and stopped the car number of times and performed the above steps to release the EPB, but it is not working. ............ Sometimes, automatic system (blindspot, break) suddenly stops working and vehicle doesn't move forward. ....... Useless KIA Sportage. Don't BUY

    My 2023 Sportage developed braking problems at 18,000 miles. Specificly, warped rotors. Kia wanted $800.00 for the rotors. I just ordered them a year later for $55.00 . I cant find a procedure for R&R brake pads. So frustrated with this car. It now has 44,000 miles a year later Im ready to have nonshaking brakes! No procedure anywhere. Never again! NEVER AGAIN!

    my 23 Kia Sportage hybrid died at 25 k miles- they tell me the electric water pump wasn't assembled properly at the factory and caused a leak
    which eventually killed some fuses etc - still waiting on parts to come in- I'm trading this asap- what else is "not assembled" properly?

    • @bobdole870
      @bobdole870 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sorry to hear that happened to your Kia. As someone who works on an assembly line, unfortunately it’s quite easy to send through bad product even with the failsafe systems they put in place. I’ve watched my coworkers run bolts in so crooked they don’t even sit flush, but the system sees that it was tightened to a certain torque, so it lets it pass if the operator doesn’t call someone over to fix their mistake.

    Nothing but problems with my 2023 Kia shortage. I had such high hopes for this vehicle but after just 3 months my issues began. I brought my car in for service and they tell me there are 8 recalls that need to be satisfied and fixed. 8?!?! Too many to list but now my Kia shuts down in the middle of driving on the highway. I look the symptom up online to see what this could be and it’s an alternator issue could be caused by leaving lights on and drawing from the battery. I know for sure I have not left lights on or played the radio etc without the vehicle being on and running. So I look online and noticed there was a recall for this about a loose nut or connection from the battery or alternator. This recall was addressed when I got the 8 recalls satisfied and Kia service department tells me that I would have to pay for any service done on the vehicle since the recall was completed on my car. When I asked if it was possible that this is still the same issue that was recalled and they assured me that it was not. Very frustrating because the vehicle is only a few months old and they sell the Kia with the fancy 10 year 100,000 mile warranty and already I’m putting money into the vehicle and two trips to the service center in 6 months

    • @Viper3870750
      @Viper3870750 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Wow so you got all 8 of your recalls resolved and your car is still shutting off while driving on the highway!? Not only that but Kia is telling you that YOU have to pay for it!? What's the point of that 10yr/100k mi warranty then???

    • @xsonicpunkx
      @xsonicpunkx 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Initially I brought the vehicle in because one of the spark plugs failed and running on one less cylinder. The vehicle was only a few months old at that point that is when they told me they had 8 recalls on it. The service center kind of looked at me like I was the bad guy for not bringing the vehicle in sooner for all these recalls. I told him I just bought the vehicle 3 months ago and I never received notification about all of these recalls. My question to him
      Was how could they even sell me this car if it has 8 recalls on it already. The service centers answer was that when ever a new model vehicle comes out that it is basically a guinea pig for Kia to see what issues the vehicle may have. At the time of purchase all car dealerships had vehicle marked up $5000 so basically I paid $5000 on top of what the vehicle was worth AND it is a guinea pig to take the vehicle and let me know what issues you have? Obviously I was NOT made aware of any of this or I definitely would not have purchased this Kia. I honestly bought it because I figured if they were offering 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty what could possibly go wrong? I learned quickly that a lot can go wrong. I am wondering about the lemon law? Does anyone know if this is something I can consider. I bought the car for my daughter and now she won’t get in it anymore because she is afraid that it will shut off on the highway leaving her alone and stranded. Also, I took the vehicle in for service to have them look into why the vehicle shut off in the middle of driving on the highway and a battery discharge warning light came on. I left the vehicle with the service center and at the end of the day they told me the vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. I was somewhat thrilled to get the vehicle back and fixed but as I was about to leave I asked what the issue was and what they had fixed. Service center of Jersey City tells me Oh, we didn’t fix anything. Whey they ran it through the diagnostic machine nothing came up. That was there definition of it being fixed. They didn’t see anything nor did they fix anything. They did absolutely nothing different to the vehicle to make me feel safe about driving it. I get it that nothing came up on the diagnostic but do t tell me it’s been fixed and I’m good to go. Now neither me or my daughter want to drive this vehicle on the highway or anywhere long distance for fear of this shutting down again. I myself might not be afraid to drive this vehicle but it is my daughters vehicle and she is not okay either the possibility of the vehicle shutting down on the NJ turnpike and getting rear ended by a tractor trailer. Sorry for the long post but I’m just very frustrated and upset that this how we are treated and the service we received on a vehicle 6 months old now.

      @@xsonicpunkx Sheesh, that's insane. Thanks for the feedback so at least myself asking with others know not to get this model year Sportage. Sorry you're having to go through all of that tho. About the lemon law, not too downplay what you're going through but typically from what I've read, it is usually honored when people are having severe issues with their drive train - mainly the engine and transmission. Having the car shut down on you while on the highway is nothing to scoff at, however if it is something as simple as one of the alternator terminals being loose then that would be an easy fix. Granted, an easy fix that shouldn't have ever been a problem to begin with. If I were you, I would still push for that anyway. Get KIA HQ involved and see if you can push the issue of it falling under the lemon law so you can get your money back. Good luck!

    I have 2023 Sportage X Line. Approximately at 12000 miles car started to shake so hard when I brake, it took them plenty of time to figure out what was the issue, dealership replaced rotors and everything was good, but not so long.. Now I have a little over 15000 miles and same problem is back. Squeaking noise every time i brake and car doesn't stop smoothly, jerking again on every traffic light. I don't understand how rotors that should run minimum 40000 miles went out second time with very low miles on odometer. Also transmission works very weird. It seems like car just doesn't understand when and what gear to choose, but they didn't find any issues... Im going to report this car as a lemon. My first and last Kia.

    2023 Kia Sportage owner . Brought it brand new with only 11 miles on it had it for only a year and a half. Schedule oil change at the dealership a week later the engine light went on the car started shaking 20,000 miles on it. The dealership said that it was shredded metal in the oil, long-term owners of Kia Sportage since 2008. Had it 2008 no problem 2017 schedule oil change metal in the oil car replaced to the 2023 shredded metal in a 2023 engine has replaced brand new car what is going on with these new cars and having very expensive replacements. They don’t make cars like they used to everything is cheap and the only people that getting screwed is the customer losing trust being a long-term Kia customer. Need a reliable car.

    Ignition coil fuel pump stuff like that 2019 Kia Sorrento has the same issue. Matter fact Kia would not honour the lifetime motor warranty because it was not on the bottom of the engine and the issue with the knock sensor. When I wasn’t even driving it my power steering module went out and so did my speed sensor in my transmission. There were so many issues we told them just to take it back and we got a 2024 Kia sport this is why I’m here watching this video to see what I’m up against.

    Ive put some work in to my Kia Sportage 2023 EX, currently at 64k Miles, i believe my fuel injectors are going bad or something because of shuttering/jerking/vibrations when accelerating for a few seconds now. My car doesnt show anything wrong or no lights but will be taking it to a dealer to get checked out and most likely replaced through warranty. I noticed grinding of some sort when shifting through gears early on after getting the car. Everytime i got it checked it all came back fine underneath. Still dont know whats causing that noise. Man i hope this car doesnt crap out from what im reading here.

    ours is a safety recall brake asst thereby increasing the risk of a crash, the brake booster diaphragm may become misaligned resulting in internal vacuum leak, A loss of brake assist can result in hard pedal feel and increase effort during pedal application thereby increasing stopping distance. and now our car been in the shop for a week and still waiting for it the part they say smh,we should of kept out car that we traded in was a 2019 Buick Envisions with only 8500 miles on it best car ever, this kia we have now only 2300 miles on it and we had it just a year back in 2022 August.
