True, once he took to you, he gave and gave, and true, he wanted to be loved by women. I met him in 1994 with my boyfriend, a novelist, and Jeff pulled this aloof thing he did, and I didn't like that, so I disconnected. That freaked him out, and he worked pretty hard to woo me back. A few months later I came to another gig and he just opened his arms and hugged me so hard. He was a lamb. Musically? A master.
I was one of the fortunate few that was at both Bunjies and the Forge that night and it was as magical an experience as you might imagine. The greatest night of music of my life. I will never see it bettered I know. And I was saying that long before Jeff died and became the icon he is today. X
Sue DeSimone I still can't believe I ended up there that night as I only decided to try to head into london from Essex around 5 in the afternoon... there was no queue outside when I arrived but there was a sold out sign on the door which I naturally ignored!
I was there too, Gavin. I feel the same - the two greatest gigs of my life in one night. I sat next to the support act Kat who was a singer / pianist who was great (if you know Kat's surname / social media let me know!). It was amazing to see Jeff singing 'I Shall Be Released' and 'I Know It's Over' at the other venue (The Forge / 12th Note?). I only found out about the gig by listening to GLR - lucky lucky me.
Its May 30 as I listen to this. Roughly 30 years after the tribute to Tim at St. Ann's and 24 years since his disappearance. The end of this video is a tearjerker. Damn
OH MY! That Spanish ditty! 💜💜💜 You can feel how the interviewer is kind of rough at the beginning of the interview and how absolutely melted down and soft at the end of it. She got JBstruck!
does anyone know if we could find the recording of this version of grace without all that commentary? I personally think this is probably one of the best versions of grace. with that being said, there are may different versions of grace which I love which are delivered in a totally different approach but nonetheless wonderfully done, like the npa live. I just discovered this today and this version is just up there, to me. What a gift! 😊
How many times Have you heard someone say If I had money I would do things my way But little they know That it's so hard to find One rich man in ten With a satisfied mind Money can't buy back Your youth when you're old A friend when you're lonely Or peace to your soul The wealthiest person Is a pauper at times Compared to the man With a satisfied mind When my life is over And my time has run out My friends and my loved ones I will leave there's no doubt But one thing's for certain When it comes my time I'll leave this old world With a satisfied mind One thing's for certain When it comes my time I'll leave this old world With a satisfied mind

How many times
Have you heard someone say
If I had money
I would do things my way
But little they know
That it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten
With a satisfied mind
Money can't buy back
Your youth when you're old
A friend when you're lonely
Or peace to your soul
The wealthiest person
Is a pauper at times
Compared to the man
With a satisfied mind
When my life is over
And my time has run out
My friends and my loved ones
I will leave there's no doubt
But one thing's for certain
When it comes my time
I'll leave this old world
With a satisfied mind
One thing's for certain
When it comes my time
I'll leave this old world
With a satisfied mind
