as a 17 year old, i would like to, even just for one day, travel back in time just to watch jeff buckley sing his heart out. i would give everything i have, which is not much right now, to just watch him live.
you and me both. i regularly seek out stories from those who were lucky enough to have been graced by his immense talent live, and every story i read echoes the idea that he was a powerful force with an angelic voice that was almost too good to be real, yet he still somehow had an extremely human way of connecting with people through his music that i would give so much to have experienced. being in the same room as that voice and his whole aura must have felt like nothing else in the world
@@paige1021 i couldn't agree with you more. he was so human and unhuman at the same time. he connected with people, nature and universe with not only his voice but his thoughts. i don't think most of the artists of today can do it like him. i remember watching a couple of his interviews and i couldn't believe how alive he was while expressing his thoughts verbally, at such a young age. he also taught love to people like me through his words. it saddens me that he probably had so many things to share with us. i'm glad that you and me share the same genuine emotions towards jeff and jeff's music.
@@tatta571 it’s so nice to see someone else who understands this! his connection to the universe is so evident through his ability to communicate such deeply intricate thoughts and feelings through music and writing. and as you said, even just speaking in interviews he was on another level. he seemed so intelligent and connected to his emotions. what a beautiful soul
@@paige1021 i genuinely think the same things as you do. i'm also glad that we got to have this interaction because of our passion about jeff's music! even though we might be miles away, music brings us all together :)
I miss you dear bright spirit with an angels voice...wish you couldve stayed with us longer. You are still loved by so many. May peace and joy be with You back in our true Home.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Jeff could play, these renditions here demonstrated what is missed also what couldn't ever be replicated. Buckley through and through. Fantastic chords.
+52Hacker This gig was recorded on the open air rooftop of radio 3RRR when it was in Fitzroy Melbourne. Lets just say that Melbourne is notorious for sudden rain/showers. I recall that this event almost washed out, and was delayed (supposed to be at 7PM), and when Jeff says 'Love, Death & Crappy Weather at 06:08 he was meaning the huge showers that appeared prior.
"Looking out the door I see the rain, fall upon the Triple R listeners..." ; ) Thanks to the neverfail aesthetic of the good folk at Triple R. When in Melbourne Australia, tune to 102.7FM. You will not regret it. Season's bleatings, cats!
How or why did they record these live performances back in the day? I don't think anyone has recorded my shows, nor any of my friends' when I/we have performed at venues roughly the same size as this. Was there always a sound-person who recorded the live-mix just in case the performer got famous or was Jeff paying someone to do the job? I don't get it. Nowadays no-one has these kind of recordings of a rooftop gigs...
This was on the rooftop of a building that housed local community radio station 3RRR. There were regular Live To Air performances, quite often by international touring artists, and were attended by subscribers to the station. I was at this show.
"To the power of the mighty one in hell (Jeff) will devote himself",....that's some freaky shit right there,....wow,....Jeff was a slave to the devil. The same demons that surrounded his father surrounded Jeff and destroyed both of them in their prime. Pretty sad, but at the begging of this performance all was revealed. Most will deny this and say he was joking, but that was a prayer,.....pretty sad,....People need to wake up and reject $atan,......Glory to the Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ!!!!
I fear that the powers that control the music, force them to integrate and push certain ideas in their songs and concerts. Jeff's music was positive, and he sandwiched so many positive healthy lines with those lyrics. The location where his body was found in the water when he died, there is now a boat harbor dock in the shape of a red 666, although it did not exist at the time of his death. There is also a pyramid south of that harbor, right where Jeff Buckley was found dead.
I fear that young musicians are exploited, used, killed, and then their immortal image is a money maker for them forever. Wait until we start seeing holograms performing concerts..
If i could travel back in time i would go to this cafe when he sang....
And every other place... Like Sin-e......
So would I! Love everything about him!! 💖💕😘
