LOL I live in NS. Canada. The DOG AND SUDS was the first drive up and eat in the car restaurant in our town. It was for years the hang out of all us young car racers in this area. As well as the cops watching us.
Oh my gosh! There was a Dog-n-Suds restaurant at the end of the street I grew up on in Nebraska. I spent a lot of time in there with my friends as a kid. Great blast from the past. 😄 Would love to find one of their old root beer mugs.
This is becoming quite the collection of outdoor of historic signage. Wish Cook’s garage the very best and hope they continue to build their collection. It’s becoming quite the outdoor museum for signage. And for those out-of-towners it’s definitely worth the visit when in Lubbock.
Cook’s garage is a very cool place to visit, and have some amazing concerts! However, the restaurant is terrible. I got sick as a Dog last time I ate there .. threw up on the side of the road on the way home.

Who does not love Neon an nostalgia? Definitely on my “stop by” list when I am back up in the Panhandle.

Went to Dog-N-Suds a lot too. I grew up in Aurora, IL. I really liked the burgers there.
When i was in elementary school back in the late 60's early 70's we went to Dog-N-Suds in Troy MO. all the time. They had the best root beer ever...

Did you call and tell the staff ? What you ate ? So that they could protect other people.surely they would want to know.
Can't be that bad if they're lining up to get in. Maybe you had a stomach bug and it was a coincidence when it kicked in...or too much beer. 🙂
We have eaten there a lot. Food always good - good service. Never had an issue.
