What can I say, I'm an inspirational guy... hope you found the videos useful. :)
Yea I often find 'gear videos' are way out of my budget too, hence why I thought I'd make this. Need to make an update though, my pack has changed quite a bit since

I love gear reviews that include prices! I just came back from a week wildcamping around Skye, hope you enjoyed your trip as I have.

I'm planning to do some thru hikes in Scotland next year so this was very useful, thank you. Great to see a more budget friendly set up. Did you weigh your pack before you set off?

Glad to hear it! I think I did and it was about 11kg which is quite heavy once you've filled up all your water too... still working on getting kit weight down a bit. What hikes are you planning on in Scotland?

Really useful info. Given it's recently posted (in December) at first I was thinking it seemed a bit light for winter gear, but just seen your other Skye videos were a few months before. Any thoughts from after the trip about changes you would have made to the gear list?

I'm not sure I'm brave enough to attempt it in December! Umm good question...I definitely wouldn't bother with the sit mat, didn't use that at all. I've since ugraded my tent to the Forclaz MT900 which has a lot more space, and is lighter. I've also upgraded my backpack. Think I'd definitely like to get some lighter waterproofs too. Other than that though, I think the kit worked well for me on this trip
