Coach Kassem, I bring my own seat belt to the gym and use it for the seated leg curl. It works phenomenally to prevent butt slide while pushing away on the front handles. I'm able to maintain a neutral spine and was surprised at how much I could increase the load from the first day I used the seat belt!

That’s your preference mate. Best of luck with it.

Do you use a lashing strap with a barbell pad or an actual seatbelt???

@@mojorhythmI use a car seat belt bought from Amazon, a couple carabiners and a short lashing strap affixed to the machine.

i've tried the rounded back for partial rep for calves. is there a safety concern in continuing doing them or do you prefer just doing normal lenghtened partials? (and if it is the case i suppose lying version would be better for calves ?)

Hi coach! So if I understand it right, if I start to slide with my butt forward on the sit and so extending my lower back , what should I do to fix is to grab the handles and pull me there to maintain the right position? Could it be like a body "cheat" to manage a too heavy weight on a fatigue state? Thank you!!

as a personal trainer for decades, competitior and coach, i've always questioned the seated leg curl from the point of view that you are sitting on the muscles you want to train, contract and does that affect the contraction??

A seatbelt is used by most guys with size and strength. Never heard anything bad by any of them mostly recommended by them. I personally like not fighting with it.

what do you think of tilting your body towards your knees whenflexing your hamstrings? michael gundill recommends that

If it’s flexion at the hip, this can work a more lengthened position, if it’s rounding the back, then no.

i see a lot of people (over)arching there lower back when pulling, even when the pull themselves into the bench. what should you do about it?

are they pushing their back into the pad as well. That could be the culprit.
