absolutely it is. I am 6'5" not an overly aggressive trail rider but with just a few miles on mine so far its an absolute riot. will let you know more after i get more miles but first impression is that its a great trail and off trail sled for me.
We look forward to hearing from you. I really like the backcountry. Thanks for watching!
hey man, any update you can give? i just pre-ordered a 2023 backcountry and would love your feedback
@Tony F at 750 miles now. If I was going to be doing hardcore trail riding maybe look for a dual Runner ski that puts that carbide or your Tipping Point out to that 42in stance like a regular sled.
Otherwise this thing has been Rock Solid and an absolute riot. I wish that the left hand controls were backlit, that is about my only complaint right now.
It is so fun that when you see the rest of the sleds turn out of the ditch to go up and over across a bridge to cross the stuff area the backcountry can just go right on through. Hop on the trail for some touring and you get phenomenal mileage very comfortable sled

I have rode my 850 for almost 500 miles and it absolutely insane. Off trail it is better than my father's mountain sled. At least here in Minnesota in the mildly deep stuff. The track spin you can get on that 146x1.6, you can hold wheelies for a long time in deeper snow, basically whenever you feel like slowing down. Down the trail you have to corner very aggressive compared to my last trail sled. I almost hit a tree a few weeks ago out on the trail. Off trail it is insane, nothing compares, I call it the swamp tamer. On the trail it leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to cornering. More than fast enough if you get after it. I have had a problem with carbides, the thing seems to eat through the factory ones. So buy some thicker carbides when you get the chance.
I am in east central Mn. i dont ride hard enough for cornering to be an issue. it is funny that in snow you used to get stuck in this sled is riding a wheelie through it!
2023 backcountry rider here, i'v got 146x2. its actually 70 percent off trail 30 percent on trail machine. I wish if it would have mxz front end, than it would be 50/50 sled
They have a front end widening kit if you want more stance for trail riding.
I got mine used. Wish it had the 2 inch lugs. May try and get a used track.
How much is the put together fee
Are you referring to a setup fee? We don't charge a setup fee as of today but we do charge labor to install the accessories.
