Cool video. I'm seeing that there is nothing you won't try. 👍 One other trick you can do is increase the diameter of the pins on the cluster. A super light coat/trace of soldering flux on each pin and then just drag a bit of solder from the base of the pin to the end of the pin. If it's too large, just drag it again. Each pass will pull a bit of solder off. I've done this more times than I can count. The pins are most likely square shaped, 1mm x 1mm. Just keep the solder or drag side consistant across all the pins. Also, those are all known as "Delphi 100" series connectors. You can get them anywhere online if you want to just replace the female section at the end of each wire. They were used in everything GM touched for decades.
I'm on my 5th (at least) 3rd door handle. What's in it right now is plastic. I've had the billet, and it failed at about the same use as the plastic ones.
Those locks at 22:57 go in before it connects to display panel? Guess I should rewind and get the answer lol

Hey Thanks for that tip Jon!
Ivan and Eric call it pin drag. Maybe test drag before deciding to remove each pin. Maybe only one pin is causing it.
They flickered but I assume that is the camera
Dashboard issues 😔
Is tha still a plastic 3rd door handle? I switched to billet aluminum after the second plastic one broke.
