I've got an Xtrons 7" Android 8 head unit in my FZJ105 and it's great. I think it's a PX5 chipset which by the look of the system menus yours might be too! I've never had any issues with mine and Bluetooth!
So ... Not sure about everyone else , but I am Super Keen to see Benny with the Ute pushing the limits of that new setup on the dyno ! ...

Why do you all have this dashboard-carpet in down under? What is that thing good for? I'm Swiss and never saw one of these things here. What is that for??
It protects the dash board from the sun as the sun is very hot in Australia. It also cuts down glare somewhat too

I’m looking to install one in this same car, would you still recommend this one or other?
I ended up getting one. It's an updated model. Slim body so it's light as. Works like a charm. Had to teach it what the steering buttons do, that was the only difficult thing because nobody explained how that is suppose to work.
How do you managed to get OBD info on to he unit?
Does it require some special connector?
You just need a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and then the appropriate app on your head unit (most use torque)
how is that head unit holding up? there is some negative press about them. it would be good to get a 12 months later update.. very informative video thanks 👍👍

Hi, I had a android head unit with GPS installed in my 2011 Prado 150 today and the auto Electrian couldn’t get the steering wheel controls working, please any suggestions on how to rectify the problem, cheers.
Go to Vehicle menu. From there you teach the unit was you want each button to do. Don't forget to plug the OBD translator box onto the wiring loom. You should get Prado specific box.
Anything to work with Apple apps ?

Hi, I need to do the same installation and cut the head unit, what I don't understand is how you connect the new frame to where the cut near the A/C control, it must be connected in some way.. please advise
I didn't connect my one. It just sits there. It's bolted to the top clock assembly which is bolted to the side metal brackets. Side panels secure it in place. It's all very solid.

Ive got a 2007 prado gxl and although my climate control dials look different to yours, its still one piece. So guessing id have to do the same cut as you?
Yeah will be the same deal. After further investigation over the years it seems that all the Australian delivered Prados are a one piece fascia. Seems Europe and other parts of the world got the 2 piece
Any idea what is the part number for the 2 piece?
No idea. Though if you Goto say www.amayama.com and look for the parts diagram for the euro spec vehicles you may be able to see
@@evgenyknafel2857 Alibaba was selling 9" suitable fascia but cutting it was piss easy.

Can this unit accept both the vehicle rear view camera and also a caravan camera?
There are two different inputs, yes. You could also have them both on the one input, but switch between which feed you see as there's probably no point having rear of vehicle running if you have a van on the back anyway?

I believe their unit is an older model. I got one that's listed as H2007N-P but the back body is slim. Looks different than theirs but works like a charm. Android 11.

2004 prado gxl 120 series compatible?
I installed one on the GX. Works fine. They may give you headache, since technically the unit is not suitable for Oz Prados, but I told Seicane that I'm happy to cut fascia and I got all the wiring I needed.

NO IS NOT!!! It is just crap ... after seeing your video I bought one of this units, it was fine for about 6 months and then it died ... Seicane after sale team no where to be found 😡😡
As soon as I saw them cutting stuff.... I gave up.
Cutting was easy. Really easy.
