I will concur with another comment I saw. As a book reader, there are some slight changes but I actually love them and might even prefer it to what happens in the books! The character development was great here, especially for Percy and Annabeth’s relationship! I’m so excited for what’s to come. 🥰🙌🏻💙
I've seen a lot of book readers (myself included) say that the changes they've made have actually improved and expanded the overall narrative and I have to agree. This episode is a perfect example of despite being very different to the books it really opens up the world and characterises the Gods and Godly family dynamic more! I think in a way the changes they've made to the narrative help to set up the larger story from all PJO / HOO / TOA book series as a whole because they KNOW what's coming up meaning they can lay that foundation here which obviously was never possible when Rick was writing the Lightning Thief as obviously he hadn't decided what the next book(s) were going to contain. I'm loving the series so far and all the casting is top tier. Glad to see you're enjoying the show!!
I don't know why everyone is rooting for Annabeth and Percy to get together. Does no one know they are actually cousins since Poseidon and Athena are brother and sister.
in the books it states that the greek genes dont matter expect with the siblings or for the children of the big three being together…especially as annabeth and percy would be cousins removed as athena would be percys cousin…not saying your wrong in your thought though
😂😂😂😂 Athena and Poseidon aren’t siblings. Athena is Zeus’ daughter, Poseidons niece. And in the books it’s stated that the gods don’t have DNA. Ares and Athena are brother and sister.
Call me crazy but I liked this version better then the book version.
Adam Copeland is a perfect casting choice to play Ares the God of War.

Technically yeah, but like the other comment said, in the books, DNA doesn’t work like that with the Gods.
