    Thank you for your reaction.
I liked when you said "they are 12 years old" with emotion.
I watch them like a worried mother would. I feel for them a lot because they are so young.
Thank you for all the details on Hermes actor and your takes on next episode .

There were honestly too many good moments this ep. I love the Grover/Ares scenes because you get to see Grover manipulating Ares into revealing information that can help. I wonder who Grover thinks stole the lightning bolt and how accurate he'll be. Question; do you think Ares was a little disappointed that they both (percy and annabeth) came back after retrieving his shield because he knew about hephestus' trick (idk how to spell his name). Also, the Percy and Annabeth scenes had me squealing, they're warming up to each other so much and i love to see it - if they're acting so well so early on, I wonder how they'll be with the more angstier/emotional scenes in later seasons. The fact that Annabeth and Percy were arguing over who was gonna sacrifice themselves made me so emotional. Another reason why I love this series is because, like you say, when you read the books you understand that they're 12 but then seeing actual 12/13 year olds playing them it's like "woah, yall are babies fr" it makes the gods suck even more imo because how do they think its okay to send these babies on quests where they might not even come back from. Wild. Looking forward to the next ep.

I know! It was so hard editing this episode down, I had to cut out so many parts I wanted to keep. I originally had much more of the Grover/Ares scenes. Like @KaitheKnightly said below, Grover might think Clarisse stole it. Also, looking back, I think that was a suspicion in the book, but I could be wrong. I just kind of hope he doesn't guess the actual thief at this moment. But to answer your question, he might have been disappointed, thinking Annabeth would wind up sacrificing herself, thinking Percy was the one who needed to continue the quest (and she definitely tried to), possibly somewhat worried she would be the one to figure out the truth. And yeah, the scenes with Percy and Annabeth nearly got me to tears. These kids are killing it! Right?? It's terrible seeing these literal children have time make these life or death decisions, and having to decide to sacrifice themselves, or let someone sacrifice themselves. Absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, the gods? No good.

@@nerdsnnuance2405 Honestly I believe Ares didn't care which of them got stuck in the throne just as long as one of them did. Both give him something to gain. If Percy did then Ares can go tell Zeus that he sent the son of Posidon (the suspected thief) into a trap to avenge Zeus.
And if it was Annabeth he gets to slight his sister, and also get rid of the person in the group who most likely would realize the truth out of the three.
Kill both he gets both gone.
Quite the strategy proving he is a god of war. But even if he isn't as smart as Athena he can be crafty.

@@nerdsnnuance2405 Yeah, i hope they don't have grover finding out who the actual thief is because I want that emotional betrayal at the end, lol, and if Grover guesses we wont fully get that. In the books didn't they suspect it was Ares who had something to do with the missing bolt? I can't remember 😅

@@KaitheKnightly This makes a whole lot of sense actually.

@@Georgiaaara they dont suspect him because he's a son of Zeus and usually on Zeus' good side. They had no reason to suspect deception until the events after their first meeting with him. But I like that Grover noticed that Ares is putting off his duties to mess with them.

I think Grover is gonna say he thinks Clarisse did it. From what was talked about. I think Grover is suspicious of Ares seeming to try to get rid of them by giving a quest when he should be looking for the bolt. Not terrorizing them. So I hope that is what he thinks. Because if they reveal this soon I'll be slightly disappointed. Because I want those final scenes in the book.

Yeah, I started thinking Clarisse as well during editing. And I can't fully recall, but I think the gang suspected Clarisse after their encounter with Ares. Possibly Annabeth bringing it up? This could all be my imagination. But yes, I also really hope he doesn't guess the real thief, the revalation and impact is so much better than if they have Grover figure it out now. But Rick and them have adapted things well so far, making changes for the better, I feel like they wouldn't change this.

@@nerdsnnuance2405 I read the book recently. No they didn't suspect her. But they did discuss that it was someone they knew because of the visit to Olympus being the main clue. Annabeth tells Percy really early on that a half-blood did it, she just isn't sure who. And then when a certain fight (without spoiling for anyone reading) with a certain god happens they mention the half-blood gave it to them, but don't give any details. And that they weren't important in the grand scheme of things. By a certain point the kids forget to think about it, until a certain scene happens the one we want to see happen on screen. But overall the kids had no idea who it was. Not even slightly. They just new a few facts and pondered on them.

@@nerdsnnuance2405 as for them not really figuring it out themselves you don't really blame them there are hundreds of demi-god children at camp. And the gods being the gods any child of any god could have done it for some reason.

@@KaitheKnightly I also just thought about this - in the book there's a scene after the capture the flag that wasn't in the episode, i think you know, hint - dog :D (just so I'm not spoiling for others) and I think they might incorporate it in the next episode via iris message (that would also be a way around not using sfx for it and we would only see the aftermath) and that's what might get the trio to start guessing if it was a half-blood who stole the bolt.
