You are not alone about being an adult and not having life togheter and as you say in the video, I think its more common than people think! I see all my old friends that I used to have, getting married, making babies, buying houses and stuff and I have come to terms that everyone is different and Im 27 now without an education, a partner and Im working in a pretty bad job. I learned that it is okey to '' be behind '' people at your age and you are trying your best to find your purpose and it will eventually come as long as you try, just dont give up!

Ahh Ashley this is hard but I love your attitude. You never seem to give up and I love how you can admit you don’t know what’s next with a smile! That will get you far in life and you’re doing great. I used to think adults had their lives together too but it’s absolutely not true. I’m 40 next year and still living 2 year visa to 2 year visa in Australia. I’m from the U.K. and often feel like I should have my roots down by now but I just don’t. Thankfully my husband is extremely understanding of my inability to settle in one place for too long. I just have no idea what we want long term and we change our plans all the time! Just a thought though, I’m sure you’ve looked into it already but have you heard about the DNV a visa for people who want to live in Spain and work as a digital nomad or work remotely. Anyway best of luck with everything. I know you’ll get through this. ❤

God is the best of planners. Great things are ahead of you, but its ok to feel sad it shows how much you have put into the opportunities you have been given. Remember that a disappointment led you to what now dont want to leave. Imagine what great things are ahead in Turkey for you! ❤
Sad to hear that Spain isn't working out long-term. To be honest, I'm not too surprised because in our experience Spain is a bureaucratic nightmare when it comes to these things, much more than some other European countries. We lived in Spain for a year and left again. Although, technically getting residency anywhere in the EU isn't an issue for us (Anja is a EU citizen), but dealing with it in Spain just took too long and was too much of a pain in the butt. We went back to Hungary where the same process just took one visit to the immigration office. I assume you have looked into other options in Europe? Hungary's digital nomad visa has the lowest income requirement. There's also the D7 (passive income) visa in Portugal which only requires €705 per month it seems. I think there're definitely other places where it's less of a hassle than in Spain if you really wanna live in Europe. If not, I'd probably go to Latin America like Mexico where even normal tourist visas are 6 months long and can be extended easily. 🙂

Yes I have looked into other options but I do not feel at home as much I do here in Spain in other countries in Europe and I am not willing to force something to work when I have the option to be closer to family and root myself there. I think at the moment my strong desire to settle out ways my adventurous spirit too start over in a place I may not be able to stay long term and then be in the same position. Its been a lot of thinking and searching my own heart and what I feel is best for my life now. I apricate you sharing options with me. They are all great options and I had no idea Hungary had a digital visa.

Three months is a long time… A lot can happen in three months! My favorite saying is… Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not right around the corner. What a wonderful years you’ve had in Europe. You will never forget the lessons learned. However, be sure to plan a way to keep practicing your Spanish. You will lose that quickly.!
YES!! I will continue my Spanish journey. That is not something I am willing to give up. I have learned so much about myself and culture by learning a language. Just a thought though, I’m sure you’ve looked into it already but have you heard about the DNV a visa for people who want to live in Spain and work as a digital nomad or work remotely. Hey maybe you can try your Spain plan on Turkey. My English teacher in Ankara was from NY and she was an incredible person. You can explore an english teaching career in Turkey
I have thought many times about teaching English but after taking Spanish and realizing just how important a good teacher is I do not feel qualified. It is a great option for so many people. :)

God is the best of planners. Great things are ahead of you, but its ok to feel sad it shows how much you have put into the opportunities you have been given. Remember that a disappointment led you to what now dont want to leave. Imagine what great things are ahead in Turkey for you! ❤
Sad to hear that Spain isn't working out long-term. To be honest, I'm not too surprised because in our experience Spain is a bureaucratic nightmare when it comes to these things, much more than some other European countries. We lived in Spain for a year and left again. Although, technically getting residency anywhere in the EU isn't an issue for us (Anja is a EU citizen), but dealing with it in Spain just took too long and was too much of a pain in the butt. We went back to Hungary where the same process just took one visit to the immigration office. I assume you have looked into other options in Europe? Hungary's digital nomad visa has the lowest income requirement. There's also the D7 (passive income) visa in Portugal which only requires €705 per month it seems. I think there're definitely other places where it's less of a hassle than in Spain if you really wanna live in Europe. If not, I'd probably go to Latin America like Mexico where even normal tourist visas are 6 months long and can be extended easily. 🙂
Hey!! Yes I have looked into other options but I do not feel at home as much I do here in Spain in other countries in Europe and I am not willing to force something to work when I have the option to be closer to family and root myself there. I think at the moment my strong desire to settle out ways my adventurous spirit too start over in a place I may not be able to stay long term and then be in the same position. Its been a lot of thinking and searching my own heart and what I feel is best for my life now.

Three months is a long time… A lot can happen in three months! My favorite saying is… Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not right around the corner. What a wonderful years you’ve had in Europe. You will never forget the lessons learned. However, be sure to plan a way to keep practicing your Spanish. You will lose that quickly.!
YES!! I will continue my Spanish journey. That is not something I am willing to give up. I have learned so much about myself and culture by learning a language. Its something I will never regret spending time and money on.
