Please lower the Volume of your Music, it's quite abit too loud, i'm fairly hard of hearing in one ear so i have to use Mono Audio settings, and you speak fairly softly so it's quite hard to hear you at some points :p

I started my manga collection with Tokyo Ghoul ! Yesterday 😀 (I got 4 volumes) and yea I agree it's so much better reading the physical copy and it definitely has more details than the anime itself.

Omg congrats, I hope you keep at it, I started collecting Tokyo ghoul for over a year now, I now have 38 manga (all up to date of Tokyo ghoul) it has worked out expensive but keep at it because it gets so good (I come from a poor family but work for manga, it's sooo worth it XD)

No problem at all. There is absolutely no need to put financial pressure your parents to buy manga. You can buy your own when you start earning. Just be patient, it's no big deal.

Ive been collecting for around sevenish years. I buy my manga from a local business. The manga is a little less than at Books a million or Barnes and Noble, and they will buy older series from people so you never know what they'll have in stock. Since they're a local business I dont mind the prices that much. But this video will definitely help out a lot thx!

Ya, at a certain point I just went all out and used $350+ to get all the volumes lol. Didn't care for the price as long as I had the volumes in the end
Great vid and tips. Boxsets are great, not only for the price, but they look great in the collection. So far I've just been ordering from Australian websites, but in the future I plan to start using Bookdepository. Ebay is good, I got the whole set of Battle Royale from eBay. Something for next time though, turn the background music done abit, it was abit loud. I'm going to give you a shout out in my haul vid next week.

I use Amazon mostly- But I check out book depository when they have sales and on a rare occasion I buy them at my local anime store.
Just bought the A Silent Voice box set, shipping got pricey but I’m sure it’s worth it :)

How do you feel about getting manga when you watched the anime? Does it ruin the experience of reading the Manga? I'm debating on getting the death note set for that reason.
In Germany the price for new books is set so it does not matter whether you buy in regular stores or on Amazon. To be fair, they are a bit cheaper anyway (7.50€ to 8.00€ for a regular volume at the moment; they used to be around 5€ a few years ago).
Too bad rave master, Gantz, and initial d will most likely never be reprinted :(
I started collecting Manga the last year. Now I have around 45 volumes which are attack on titan, Tokyo ghoul and death note. In Italy manga are about 4.50 € but I bought attack on titan from America so I had to wait a lot to buy them because the price is higher and I'm 14, and I don't have much money.
I just get mine from books a million or bam all I have to do is check through the manga quickly for no pages out or anything drawn on it.
I first started collecting manga a few months ago when my sister got me the first death note volume and the first attack On Titan(before the fall) volume.And then my friend got me the first JoJos BA volume and Gintama and now for Christmas I’m getting A few Soul Eater volumes,Dr.STONE volumes and volumes 1 of HunterXHunter and The promised Neverland.Oh and I have Death note vol 1-4 now. I’m so excited!!!
I have been collecting for like 8 months and I have about 40 volumes (mostly deathnote and fullmetal alchemist) and I am soon getting the ohshc manga box set, which is only £2 per volume!

I love manga and have almost 200 randomly I remembered there are bugs that will eat books i'm concerned of them getting into my manga and considered plastic bugs but they can trap moisture and create mold any advise?
Lilly Kay I started to buy manga in 2009 - 10 when I was a little kid, now almost 10 years later the books are in great condition with just some yellowing but that’s normal so don’t be worried 🤙🏽

definitely go to better world books for more well known manga.. i got all of death note for $38 in single volumes cause of their sales
Here in Serbia I can get 1 manga volume for around 300rsd or 3 euros. Its good but I dont like the fact it's translated, it would be great on english..

But anyway, nice video. :) Book Depository is an absolute must. I started collecting manga about a year ago, though I've been collecting graphic novels for longer. (Have a collection vid but it's a bit out of date) It's certainly opened my eyes, and now I read manga far, far more than I watch anime.
One tip missing here is to make sure the series you buy is still available and in print before committing to it. It's all too easy for new readers to buy a few volumes out of interest and suddenly hit a brick wall when volume 12 is only available on EBay for £100... :(

Soho Jin Mate - im from the uk too. Ive just started to get into Manga. Deathnote is only series ive completed. I bought Berserk v1 and to my realisation its nearly impossible to buy all volumes. On ebay some are sellimg for £70 for 1 book!! Im reading it now online. (awesome series)

I want a sturdy one cuz I hear some will bend and warp cuz of the weight of the manga, figures, anime etc. where'd you get yours from if you don't mind? Cuz I've just been looking online at Walmart

I recommend all of them, but if I were to choose a series, personally I would choose Tokyo Ghoul.

if you have a shop near you called forbidden planet go in i recommend it they have a deal ( all year round ) 3 manga for the price of 2 ( on all manga ) but it's only in store and not online

I been collecting for a few years (I think from like 2017 I started getting INTO it. I kinda started in 2016 but that was my Hatsune Miku phase) and I got 54 volumes :”3 I am 13! I come from a poor family (well not SUPER poor but you get what I mean) I bought most of my manga by birthday money, Christmas money or money I receive from family.
$12.99 for Tokyo Ghoul but you could get it cheaper............ I envy people like you. It is legit $12.99 for me on bookdepository, but you can get it cheaper *sighs* Why do I live in Australia?
