@@Kt-cn2rq exactly. My neighbor is a nail tech. She runs hers out of her home and is not happy about this machine at all. As it stands now people here are reeling from rise in prices. She is seeking another part time job to make ends meet now. Top it off her husband lost his job when they automated his warehouse job. You said decals but I am not talking about decals. I am talking about a machine being able to literally put any art you can get down to minuscule or literally a thumb nail picture and be able to print or paint it on a nail. Then be able to replicate it on other nails. That type of thing wouldput people out of work fast. As far as bringing it out. I said this before if you have a machine doing all the base work you would pretty much only need 1 or 2 persons to add the bling. Basically the nail tech would be there to run the machine. The machine again doesnt need a paycheck, benefits, breaks or days off. A machine frees up overhead costs one of which would be the need for multiple techs. How many nail techs are in a salon on any shift? My area there are 6 techs in the largest one or were last time I went before I paid my neighbor. Put a machine that can precisely read a nail, clean cuticles, file, paint n print what ever is scanned in the customer wants how many people are you going to need to bling that nail out? Especially since machines doing most of the work and costs less than if a person was doing it. Blinging it out would be an extra charge on the customer. But if the machine can give the exact design repeated uniformally or as requested would the customer need bling? Nail and other salons are already suffering from this recession and we are not likely to see relief from recession anytime soon. Every person ever replaced by a machine from auto factories to office mailroom carriers to warehouse workers to cashiers felt their jobs were jobs only people could do only to get their jobs taken by a machine. I really really want to be wrong. I dont want anyone out of a job. I know what losing a job does. My daughter and SIL lost their business because of COVID, they lost their home and transportation and have had to move in with me. Because self employed they were not eligible for unemployment pay. They have been busting their butts on side jobs, putting out applications and trying to sort out transport because we literally live out in BFE. I dont drive I use a shuttle service. My self I am on a fixed income so I got the financial strain of supporting 4 adults.
@@gladitsnotme that a good thing because yang would suck at ACTUALLY running anything, literally ALL he has IS the UBI talking point. I think this is perfect for when it's a Monday and you want to run out and get a quick manicure on your lunch break and you don't have the time to spend an hour at the salon. It's like the fast food of manicures! Very cool.

I’m big into cnc machines and 3d printing, so this is right up my alley to help her get it up and running once they are available for a decent price. Cool product, and a great use of technology!
To me, it's the equivalent of a 'photo booth' or such...a quick, fun 'pick me up'. There will still be many, many women who prefer the luxurious, multi-component steps of a traditional manicure, but for ladies 'in-a-hurry', this will be a reasonably-priced alternative. 💅
This is actually really cool. And for $10…I could see myself doing this maybe twice a month. Totally worth it, quick, easy, and convenient. Mamma likeyyyy
Great innovation but needs some improvements in the future. At 2:47 you can see the nail polish sadly spilled on the side. As a nail tech I would still prefer a specialist to do my nails (manicure, taking care of the cuticles, shaping the nail, intricate designs) but its great to see how innovative our generation is ❤
Love it, it's just the perfect way to get a quick polish before a weekend outing or office presentation. No fuss, just neat nails at an affordable price. The salons can invest in this machine and provide differentiation to the customers. Works both ways.
The machine is cool but it doesn’t replace the service you get at a salon someone massages your hands makes you feel relaxed. It’s cool if I had one at home. But to go out and get it done maybe not. It is very interesting Indeed though.
They know, they want you to think of them as the fast food of nail jobs. They aren't trying to replace the salon just add a complementary service for when you don't have an hour to spend getting pampered but still want something nice and simple. 😌
Just a few thoughts and questions. What if a client walks in with hanging cuticles, jagged uneven nails and dirt under the nails? I think this service is wonderful for the people who need it the least… Those who keep their nails and cuticles in such great condition that a robot can paint their nails. If you want the attention and thoroughness of a traditional manicure this service is not it. There is a difference between a “Polish Change” and a “Manicure.” This machine only changes your nail polish.
No need to fear bots doing work for you. This is actually a great service. Some people are introverted, or maybe cannot interact with others due to health issues or have a social disability. no reason why they can't have fabulous nails like everyone else.
It's exciting to think that eventually you'll have one at home... Imagine just waking up, showering and then having your nails done perfectly everyday... Whatever design you want. And never having to worry about the paint chipping because you can have it redone when you get home with no effort.
Thank you. Been arguing with persons aka nail tech who says you cant replace human touch or experience with a machine. You cannot replace artistic talent. You can pretty much generate anything with a computer or picture scan it and it can be replicated almost flawlessly by a machine. If it can be printed on paper it can be printed anywhere.
This is A great thing..but my grandbabies paint my nails perfectly out of Love and for nothing but my time and it means so much to me...and yes even tho each nail is painted a different color I wear them in public proudly!(:
i think this is amazing for people who cant pait nails themselves or have issues with their hands being shaky etc. it cant replace the skills nail techs have but could help so many people
I think it's really cool! I'm someone who loves doing my own nails for fun, but a lot of my friends are lazy to do it, so if perfected this would be a nice affordable niche for them to start getting into manicures. The idea of not using a top and base coat irks me a bit though lol. And agree it doesn't replace salons, this robot only gives the most basic mani that most people usually do on their own anyway. Good for a $10 job.
Genius! Fast, affordable, no headaches from the salon smells and no one’s talking shit about you in a language you can’t understand or putting you down so that you spend more money.
Need one for hair, because a lot of these hair stylists are out of pocket wanting their customers to have half of the work done before going in or else you're charged more. Especially if you have a lot of 4c hair.
Robots may charge more. Why not make more money for a robot doing it rather than the owner? The rich don't care about your feelings, they care about money.
@@esharenee4186 no one here cares for spending money on "hairstylists" who charge out of the ass for a service that they discriminate on by hair. I'd rather pay a set price by a system that actually DOES know how to do my dense 4C hair so I don't have to come with half of the work done, or pay extra. It will not cost more.
@No name I feel like as nail techs we should be embracing new technology, not running from it. I understand you might feel differently though and that's okay
Isn’t anyone watching 2:50 where the nail polish is completely covering the left side of the cuticle? Also when you pause you can see the ring finger isn’t coated on the right and probably also flooding the left side of the cuticle. How is this something a nail salon would stand for? Fail.
I’m so glad you saw that That bothered me too!!! Ugh this is cool but stupid at the same time because it’s nothing off the future it’s limited to only Polish it doesn’t replace nail services at all and no one uses regular Polish anymore not to mention a Polish change is five dollars at a regular salon so I agree more of a fail!!!
Yuppp... Seen the same! Missing sidewall which causes chipping especially bc it's old school laquer polish and yikes that flooding too! 10min 🤣 not considering it takes 20min plus for reg damn polish to dry. Then no top coat lol nah! It's still quicker to buff, paint and cure gel polish which actually looks good and really lasts until removal!
My question is how long this polishes last afterwords for just under $10? Because without a good nail prep I’m afraid they will peel off easy. Besides I’m not a fan of polish, can get messy if not careful till is dried.
I love this, it's so clever and necessary, specially at office buildings like she said. I hope it comes to Brazil soon. Now they have to come up with some machine or substance able to dry the nail polishes instantly. PLEASEEEE
At 1:17 you see that it still leaves dimples in the polish and at 2:51 you see it flooded the sidewall on the left side of the nail which you see again at 3:07 she tried to "scrape" before the reveal... I'm not worried this replace any services soon. For $10 you can buy an entire bottle yourself and there are places that offer just polish for the same or $1-3 more.
So clever! I liked the CEOs point that they’re complimentary to nail salons. Most people wouldn’t go to a salon just for a regular coat of polish, they’d go for gels or for a design. Very cool and actually affordable for regular people!
As a cosmetologist, personally I don't agree with this at all. Salons I've been to usually charge $10-20 for regular polish anyways. Everyone loves automation until it starts encroaching on their job/profession

This Is only the start of what’s to come. Personally I think It’s amazing! Quick shopping trip & get your nails done. As technology develops so will the creativity of the machines 💅🏻
A great idea in theory, but there are several drawbacks. The lack of base coat means that the natural nail might get stained from the pigment in the nail polish. Similarly, the lack of top coat means that the nail polish will last like a day for most people. Plus, it will take longe to get touch dry even if they do use a drying accelerator. I do see how it could be useful for a quick, one day service.

I love this! Get my nails done in like 10 minutes without having to talk to anyone? I'm in. Imagine walking around the mall and just grog this on a whim? Especially love how there's no damn filing!
I personally prefer to do my nails myself bc the process is super calming, but this could take a lot of time off people's hands. Especially busy professionals like my mom. I hope the business is successful and well priced for common people
It's really interesting to see nail polish getting piped? To your nails instead of brushed to your nails, didn't know it's possible and the result is very neat😆🤔
This will still never replace the skill and artwork of a human being. It will never replace the ideas and artistry that human nail techs have. There is no human interaction or conversation. I love the process of getting my nails done by a human, from the full manicure to the conversation. This robot is pretty cool but would never replace nail techs for me.

Nearest places to get hired are a 3 to 10 mile walk depending if you walk on roadside or take dirt roads.. Most of those are conveince stores. My self I am on a fixed income so I got the financial strain of supporting 4 adults.
@@rebeccamiller3248 well you didn't vote for Andrew Yang sooo...
@@gladitsnotme that a good thing because yang would suck at ACTUALLY running anything, literally ALL he has IS the UBI talking point.
While it's great that he's bringing that conversation to the political sphere, he's stated he has no interest in anything that isn't tech bro bullshit (such as education) or his pet UBI project.
Not to mention people who are on social benefits like disability aren't allowed to really take full advantage of it, some of the people who need it most.

I think this is perfect for when it's a Monday and you want to run out and get a quick manicure on your lunch break and you don't have the time to spend an hour at the salon. It's like the fast food of manicures! Very cool.
This is a great idea! So many times I prefer the way I trim my own nails and cuticles, but having a completely neat polish job is tricky.
Agreed. All the nail places in my city do crap prep work so that I will always just do myself
Definitely agree
@@nahmastay3300 Agreed
I love this for a basic nail look! I don't think it would take jobs from nail techs, as they're able to shape nails, add gels/acrylics, designs etc. This is a fantastic way to get a really quick manicure, much like the CEO said!
Wow .. not only is this a great invention, but the business idea of it is so clear and concise with the niche that the service fills! So often you get one of those, but not the other. Really, really cool and great idea, well executed! I wish there was one in my town!
Meanwhile human contact, and jobs are fewer by each machine that makes humans irrelevant. Take 200 jobs from good people and keep, let’s say, 50ish people JUST to work on and/or FIX the very machine that made us obsolete in the first place….
@@leannyarbrough7414 this wouldn’t take away as many jobs as you’d think. This is probably going to attract people that Polish their own anyway. those that go to salons want more than this machine can give - designs, built or extended nails, etc.

I like this for people like me who have anxiety and so getting my nails done doesn't happen for me. It definitely won't take away a real nail tech though because it only paints with basic polishes, it doesn't trim or shape nails, do acrylics or anything detailed just basic color and that's it.
And would take forever to dry with that thick coat of polish. You’d end up smudging it or denting it before it fully cured.
Omg, the Jetsons home nail machine is no longer a thing of the future! hopefully these will one day be affordable enough to have at home and will be sophisticated enough to do pretty much everything. so excited!

Great innovation but needs some improvements in the future. At 2:47 you can see the nail polish sadly spilled on the side. As a nail tech I would still prefer a specialist to do my nails (manicure, taking care of the cuticles, shaping the nail, intricate designs) but its great to see how innovative our generation is ❤
Same, there’s nothing like having a human do your nails. This would be nice for a basic polish but I would still prefer to get them done by a human
I noticed that too
It's also without base or top coat, so it's not going to last.
It will keep improving. Modification will be added.
Love it, it's just the perfect way to get a quick polish before a weekend outing or office presentation. No fuss, just neat nails at an affordable price. The salons can invest in this machine and provide differentiation to the customers. Works both ways.
Thats the easy part, what i hate most is nail prep!
The machine is cool but it doesn’t replace the service you get at a salon someone massages your hands makes you feel relaxed. It’s cool if I had one at home. But to go out and get it done maybe not. It is very interesting Indeed though.
On a flight, bus ride, hangin'. I think it will work.
Add an hand massager to these machines won't be any hard..all it takes is for enough people to ask for it
That service costs a lot of money and it's not something many people can afford to do on a regular basis. And it takes 4x longer. This is amazing!!!!
They know, they want you to think of them as the fast food of nail jobs. They aren't trying to replace the salon just add a complementary service for when you don't have an hour to spend getting pampered but still want something nice and simple. 😌
Agreed. I don’t see the desire for the experience of a salon going away any time soon.
Machines being incapable of being rude is also a major plus 😃

This would be SO great for patients in long-term care who can't leave the hospital!
But the human interaction is missing which is sometimes what precisely that population needs more than anything. But see it having a place too.
There is a difference between a “Polish Change” and a “Manicure.”
This machine only changes your nail polish.

I think this is a great quickie service but nothing beats the pampered feeling of an actual manicure 💕🥰
It's exciting to think that eventually you'll have one at home...

Lazy? Lol. Not everyone is good at doing nails. It's tedious. That doesn't make them lazy.
You definitely need top and base coats for it to last at least some time, but that’s pretty cool, especially for only ten bucks
Exactly
this.
So true!!
Robots may charge more. Why not make more money for a robot doing it rather than the owner? The rich don't care about your feelings, they care about money.
@@esharenee4186 no one here cares for spending money on "hairstylists" who charge out of the ass for a service that they discriminate on by hair.

Agree, with the red polish its flooded bad and the pink the entire sidewall has zero paint
I caught that!
Remembering SimplyNailogicals hate for nail art robots 👁️
combined with a regular cuticle and shaping mani, this is awesome
Wouldn't you still need to wrap the tip to help prevent some chipping though? Also top and base coat!
Would the machine be able to start painting with a base coat? Or do the nails have to be bare?
This is incredible!! Working in technology and being a beauty enthusiast, this is absolutely amazing! 🙌🏻 and definitely affordable 🙏🏻
Maybe she moved

The way the machine polishes the nails is like how henna is applied, seeing that the tip is a cone-like shape!
