You will go a long way before you find a conductor who brings out the emotion and heart of a piece of music like Paavo Jarvi. I love Saint-Saens symphonies, but this is my favorite, and in my estimation, you picked the best performance to present. If you don't get emotional at this music, your heart is stone! As an old man who has been a music-lover all of my life (By music, of course I am referring to classical.) it is a real pleasure to watch a young man's immersion into some great music. I hope you never lose the wonder and thrill of what you hear.
This is indeed the only 'Organ' symphony by Saint Saens- the third symphony in C minor. And I'm glad you've found this particular live performance from the London Proms, played by a French orchestra, and with the mighty organ of the Royal Albert Hall, which is one of the grandest organs in the world. This is the most thrilling performance of the finale I've ever heard, including that stupendous timpani player at the end!

Yes, this is one of my favorite symphonies of all, and if you ever go to the concert hall to see it live, it is an amazing with the organ and the piano and the big orchestra. The last movement when the organ comes in there with that loud chord literally gives me chills.
I just discovered this guy, it's so good to have someone who reacts to true quality music, I only found him when I was searching for a reaction to Tannhauser Overture and there he was. Just awesome, and SO not the expected demographic! GIDI thank you.

I lived in London for years and used to go to the BBC proms 2 or 3 times a year! its very cheap to go if you don't mind standing as they remove all the seats just from the front area and all the allocation for these is just on a first come first served basis. seats . Do you have a symphony orchestra near to you and have you been to see them yet?
