    This piece is one of the peaks of late Romanticism, this movement alone proves the greatest challenge: to create real emotion through music.

    Fun Fact: The melody of "Never Gonna Fall in Love Again," the 1976 hit song by Eric Carmen, is based on the third movement (Adagio) from Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2.

    You should react to the chopin preludes, there are 28 of them and each ranges in length from 20 seconds - a couple minutes, its an ablsolute masterpiece, listen to Ivo Pogorelich's recording

    Guy is doing a lot of Russian composers. And multiple Ravels but I don't think he's done the composer he is often paired with - Debussy. I don't believe he's done Bach, Haydn or Schubert yet. Or Wagner/Verdi. His discovery of Western Classical Music is somewhat random and does not follow the program of a conventional music appreciation course.

    • @olyaddewo2379
      @olyaddewo2379 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no rule to following classical music; the only thing that matters is if you enjoy it that's it.

      @@olyaddewo2379I totally agree. I discovered classical music in a haphazard way, by the standards of a music appreciation course, but I still managed to cover all styles and eras. It just takes years, and Gidi's only just begun!
