There wasn’t a better more durable truck made at the time. Mack had 50 % of the truck market during this period which no other manufacturer has done since! It would kick any European trucks ass!!
YER RIGHT ON THE MONEY there -- Mack was getting the job done as far back as World War One, both Battlefield and Domestically as were IHC, GMC, Nash Quads, and Marmon~Herrington-- VOLVO, ISUZU, NISSAN and the other OFFSHORE makes that clog our roads today are HARDLY fit for comparison.
Great Vid after muting the 💩 music! B~Series styling was With. Out. Peer. From. ANY Other. Makers. 🌞 Durability as good or Superior to KW/IHC/GMC etc. Had a 12-valve Cummins Dodge for a Half Million miles, And had there been a Scaled down Kit Body available for Mack B-Series -- never heard or saw anything in 2008 -- WouldA jumped on it! ❤❤ Hadda go back to gasoline smaller rig; Age and Health very Invasive. Got a little Wagon (that the Revisionist Twats want everyone to call an SUV-- another Crock of 💩) from a now extinct GM marque, Oldsmobugle 😂... AWD, with the last of the Vortek 4.3L (or 262cid for old~school Yanks) V6 power (350 V8 less 2 jugs😂); 30 years old and approaching 300,000 Original miles on the Digital Odometer. Olds originated from Ransom E. Olds, who also founded the R-E-O Truck lineup, and put out the SpeedWagon long ago. Saw one in Butte MT fully restored in 🍒 condition in 2005-- being used as a Daily Driver, pinstriping and all. So though a Flight of Fansy Fig Newton of my Imagination, being Wagon Body and not a Subaru KnockOff lookalike 🤮, my Olds Bravada (Chevy S-10 with Leather seats and Waaayyy too much Electro-Gizmo-Tronics for my liking), lousy market value-- $ 1 - 2grand-- still Gits Er Done-- Gertie Growler is in my mind, The Last R-E-O Speed Wagon, even if she's FAR from being 🍒. Just a Rocket 262 (not 455 in the Country song) with 200 horses under the hood-- Sleeper that's surprised others getting Cute with everyone on the road. Git 'Er Done, Gertie...
