Picked this gem up out of idaho. Really wish I could get it running. Fairly low mile truck and everything is tight on it. I have some time to brainstorm on it before I head back out there to work on it again
I drove a truck like that back in early 70’s in No Fl. hauling rock and dolomite. Truck was rough but ran and shifted well. Took a little getting used to shifting it, but it was a beast of a Hauler... great experience!!!
1940-1953 - Mack produced marine engines for many years. "The Mariner" engines were used in yachts, pilot and work boats. The ENDM 405 (FW) was produced from 1940-1941; a total of 16 engines were manufactured.
My uncle had a "White" Winch Rig tandem rear diff locks and a huge main winch and a smaller front winch I seen it pull a D9d out a pond being dug with a thrown trac just off main winch, We called it Mad Max it was a beast of a Rig you could tell it was a heavy pull rig.
What a GREAT Job you've done in this Video-- Quite informative without any of the usual platter of 🐎 pucky blended in. Gonna see what 3B County of Idaho that plate denotes -- Am in 7B , Bonner County myself and it's Am-Aay-Ziinngg what can be found out and about. Love to see/hear your documentary when the Old Gal is up and running... LET 'ER RIP, TATER CHIP ❤!
@rayjones7313 thanks! I got the new pump and injectors in it but found out the pump is 180 out. I plan to be back out in a couple months and it should finally live! This truck came from st Mary's area
👍👌👏 Simply fantastic! I absolutely love the look of this truck, especially because of the rounded edge/corner design. Hope we will see more of it. Best regards luck and health.
You will see more of this one for sure. I'm hoping next summer to have it running as I now have good injectors for it. Thanks for the comment and keep watching for it to come to life 😀
Who much for the ol Mack , I could use that right now moving houses and buildings nice , it reminds me of my child hood of those kinda trucks hauling houses and buildings arounf in the town I lived in when I was a boy , thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace grace grace amen 🙏p.s. are you not reading your comments?
Please post in the next video title if it will be running in the next video, I only want to hear it run, that's why I cam here in the first place. Thank you.
@BobbyTucker I would love to know when this truck will run. Due to the nature of both residing 20+ hours from the truck and unforseen things coming up when I do work on it, timelines are not always predictable. It is close though, I anticipate it will be running in September
Hoping to have it running this summer. Needs some love in the top end before I do try to crank it up. I have had it long enough, I'm itching to hear it run too
Wondering if that Dinosaur is hauling ass or or been sold... and those ain't Dents - they're 'Happy little accidents'. Respect from the Great White North eh.
It's closer to being a runner. New injectors and pump, but needs a couple new valve springs to replace broken ones and the top end is really nasty. Plan is this summer to pull heads and finish the top end and it should be a runner
It came from jobbers in philly, they're a repair shop, not the trucking company that had the trucks. Mark would be able to tell you what the outfit was, he had mentioned it but I dont recall off hand
That is one of the best looking trucks ever made.IMOP. Nice patina!,hope you got it running. That thing and I were born the same year.Wreckers have come one hell of along way"s!I"d love to see that damn license plate moved to the driver"s side bumper. It detracts from the look of the grill.Just my opinion, nice video!
Its still a bosch pump, it's just a rotary pump. Mighty inconvenient really as they're rare as Hens teeth and I just cant swap a rotary for an inline without doing all the injector lines at the same time
Great Truck and Video. What happened to the rest of that Mechanic County song I was just starting to dig on. I'd like to know the name of the song and Band please. I Was born in 1968 it probably wasn't Willy Nelson but they could harmonize 😁
The next big truck ride was in a F model with the 18 inch sleeper it to is quadruplex but it was a tandem axle Henderson suspension Dayton Wheels what a rough riding piece of crap I figured out why the passenger seat was called a jump seat is any chance you could you jump right out of that seat the driver seat wasn't much better they call it a jack seat I believe That truck was fancy it had chrome dual stacks
I desperately want to get it running, and the plan is to utilize the winches to pull out stuck rigs around the ranch or to pull timber up where its easier to grab. I bought the truck purely just because of the winches
I know where there is a parts truck for it they're asking $400? For it . I believe it's one I may have owned 40 years ago. Old b model thermadine. It's in western Washington on fb marketplace. I have no room for it or I'd go get it . If it's the one I think it's got a triplex a hour clock ran great 40 years ago had a Prentiss log loader on it in those days. Not now.
Turns out despite me checking the pintles in two injectors, all of them had super high pop off pressures and probably never would have popped off. When they did it was a big spurt of fuel not a spray. I have the inejctors back now, but I need to find the right valve springs to fix the broken one before I throw the injectors back in and send it

5 hole Alcoa wheels. Those were the hot setup back then.
Best looking Alcoas ever made. Just a classic and makes a truck look rugged
That’s a sweet rig right there !…….👍
Best looking Mack model ever made.

I don't have a CDL, found a b61 I can buy. I really love the look.

What an incredible truck 🥰 love it 😍
if it's not a mack 💪🏆💪you might as well take it back 👍😎👍
The first time I rode in a big truck I was 9 it was a 1962 B61 single axle
with a chrome radiator shell and it was a quadruplex
I like it 👌
Please post in the next video title if it will be running in the next video, I only want to hear it run, that's why I cam here in the first place. Thank you.

Nice to see that you finally got it!
A year later and I'm wondering how it went? For the age of the truck it certainly was in good condition. 😎👍

Triplex duplex quadruplex transmissions b81 b61 cool 🙋💯
Beautiful truck. new fuel tank & a little body work.
I love it looking for one like that myself
love these big rigs
I would have been pissed at whoever bent up the hood. Nice old rig.
Nice truck, those rotary pumps were notorious for having a short life hopefully you can get it running good.
Thank you. I was pretty frustrated that with a fresh pump and fuel to the injectors that it wouldnt run. More troubleshooting I guess
@@reeseholler92 is that your frightshaker CABOVER?
@@keepontruckinoutlawlife1248 not mine, but belongs to a friend of mine
SHES A BEAUT NO DOUBT 👌🏼👌🏼
Less rust on the old Mack than the much newer Dodge 🤣
If the back of the cab is concave ; its a B#67.
Wow what a cool truck!!

Very good
What trucking company did that injection pump come from? Just curious.
It came from jobbers in philly, they're a repair shop, not the trucking company that had the trucks. Mark would be able to tell you what the outfit was, he had mentioned it but I dont recall off hand
The rocker arms look Brown that usually indicates water
Did that pump come from Mark at Jobbers?
It did

I hope I get it running too! Isnt worth much to me as yard art, and would actually be useful with the winches
I’ve never seen an injector pump like that. I’ve seen a lot of inline Bosch pumps but nothing like that. What is it?

I believe it’s a primer problem you loose the prime fast any oring gasket that will let it loose pressure track that leak down you’ll have it going
