In Mario 64, you can manipulate space. Travelling through universes and cloning objects like it's nothing. In TotK, you can manipulate time. These mfers are creating timelines and bringin stuff through save files, also, like it's nothing. Together, they would be unstoppable.
With regards to the speed running conversation, I think it would be really cool to see a speedrun of every shrine this can be performed in, which INCLUDES the setup for each shrine. It’d be a real long one though, but seeing the routing and setups for each shrine would be cool.
@@SchleimigI think two timers, with one of them only running while in shrines, with the in-shrine timer being the primary category and overall timer being second, similar to min% runs that have two different criteria
Speculation: The game runs a few physics frames upon loading a game, just to just to make sure everything is 'settled' and won't 'explode' on camera like Skyrim physics. During these frames, Link will be pulled at a certain speed towards his 'intended' position by his connection to the held object. If that position is close enough to be reached in that time, he'll stop at that position. Otherwise the game finishes loading with Link somewhere between the starting position and the object.
Your storytelling is really on point, every single video is incredibly captivating even for people like me who don't necessarily know much about glitch hunting in general. Thanks for all the hard work!

i really appreciate how beginner friendly these are. i know basically everything intended by the devs to be known about the game but nothing about the glitches, and you explain it perfectly. although i'm sure explaining zuggling and fuse entanglement are going to get tedious to explain in time :D
The phrase "Link will be culled" hit me like a ton of bricks. Really interesting stuff tho, I've never watched anything about TotK glitches before but you made it really engaging! It's cool to see what is possible, and how much effort goes into working it out
i really like timber's editing style, and how he uses glitches to get unique camera angles and actions for link. its really creative, and it makes his videos all the more interesting!
Even though you explain it in every video I love your explanations of zloting, zuggling, ghost glue, etc. It’s always such a nice reminder as to what each of them do since they’re so integral to these videos
I first learned how to cog skip skip and do intro clip from your videos, and your editing has improved soooo much since then! All those freecam shots r so playful and creative, it's visually such a treat. Keep up the amazing work!
Can I just say, I love your editing style. Your demonstrations are very helpful and easy to follow, and showing the names of the songs you use is much appreciated!

Hey timber! I doubt you’ll ever see this, but I’ve watched a ton of your videos the past week and I really love them! I love the videos you make, I love the game you play, I love the stuff you do, I love the editing style. You’re just awesome, dude!
I was the first (and only person afaik) to get a sub 1s shrine in Botw and now you've done it in Totk (You probably know me as PowerGaymerKai, I changed my username). Congratulations this was really cool to see and welcome to the sub 1 club!
yet another great video! I had just learned about culling from Clouded, she was running into it while clipping in and out of caves for hundo testing. It's cool to see it explained further, and with an actual use!
I didn't understand half of this, but I'm endlessly fascinated by the glitches people discover. (My lack of understanding is related to not doing any research into how any of this works, rather than because of any failure on your part.)
Maybe the warp distance just depend of the time the game takes to load link position. It's just a theory but I don't see how a smaller distance would work better than a bigger one.
Some questions: 1. Does the mass of the lifted object affect the place link ends up? Maybe the 'corrective force' on the object varies based on mass. 2. Can we apply some other extra force to the object to pull it even harder towards its location and win out over Link's pull? Like ghost gluing it to some super heavy build? 3. How far do you have to get before you start getting spawned at the midpoint instead of the object's location? Is there a hard line or is there some goldilocks zone where you end up at 75% or something? (You'd probably want to binary search if you test this one.) 4. Can you still interact with the culled object that's linked to you? Like recalling it or gluing stuff to it or activating it if it's a Zonai device? 5. What happens if you cull an object like this and then ask Pelison to break apart the thing it's entangled to? 6. Can we corrupt Link's load location somehow so the game isn't sure where to put him (and hopefully just goes with the object)? Like by saving while culled, or by making your last valid ground something that goes away after (like the trapdoor in the colosseum or a part of your house you get rid of or something) or something that stops being valid ground (like the cogs before and after they start rotating), or saving after watching a cutscene that spawns us in the air / on a dragon without touching valid ground? Or does SDC mess with the position (since the game thinks Link is on the steering stick)?
I suspect the reason why you went further than expected was because you're going up instead of down. Going down your going to collide a lot more with the held object then going up, as the held object is above link
as someone whose not as familiar with totk speedrunning or glitches compared to other zelda games, the way you explain the tech u use is really clear ! thank you !
Really neat glitch discoveries going on! You've got a nice channel going on here, with great music choices, a nice voice, and some good editing work going in too! I wish I could get one of those patches to support your endeavors, but for some reason the site says there's problems processing my payment whenever I try to check out... A bit of a shame, that's the first TH-camr merch I've ever *really* wanted.
I wonder if adding a dragon part to the objects in question affects anything as they typically increase load distance so may increase cull distance or something else weird
Its really amazing to see what the zelda glitch hunting community has been able to do with this game. Thansk for showing off all this cool stuff that you and tge community have found!
Dude found you from gsi skip and your content is amazing, gives me nostalgia from the crazy videos near the end of breath of the wild, all the totk glitches are crazy. Well explained well executed well edited, great stuff keep it up.
Shrine: shoot these two things through bars and go to the exit. Player: Nah, I'll skip it by doing a hyper complicated setup, game science theory and math, and trial and error instead.
Timber really said "You should cull yourself⚡NOW ⚡" Great video, the editing is only getting better. That shot overlaying the shrine with hyrule was fantastic. I wonder if the 50% issue you had was something to do with some form of loading plane between hyrule and the sky/GSI, and that didnt happen in the shrine because it's all contained within one layer?
When starting the Tarry town race with the stick attached to an immovable object a very similar appear halfway kind of thing happens though every time I've tried it. It usually ended up upside down (or sideways sometimes but it is very persistent on not starting upside down ("It doesn't seem very safe"- ugggh) then doing it anyway) and at the edge of the area cancelling it and causing a text dive until you where Tp-ed back to the Fernison (Easy objects are the bell, the floating mini orb model thing (Sky), and the donut launcher moving stick (also sky)) (It also seemed to go usually halfway but a lot of the time I ended up right below the bell instead of halfway)
I remember mulberry was experimenting with some ways to do full warps with lift storage instead of warping to the halfway point, if this becomes manageable then this might be the most broken movement glitch
Absolutely legendary I love watching your video, I'm a glitch hunter mi self and your videos help me learn alot more about background games mechanics and I look forward to your next one!
Running with the theory of the item pulling link back, I believe that the strength of said pull is dependent on distance. While you were only 50% of the way to GSI you overshot the shrine goal using the same calculations... It may be worth experimenting with shorter and longer distances to try and figure out the exact scaling for the zlotted item's pull strength.
You're really good at explaining the alchemical processes behind TotK glitches in away that's easy to understand. And you're even better at turning your glitch testing into highly clickable content lol. Keep up the great work dude, it feels like an any%-viable GSI skip is just around the corner!
12:20 In BOTW, for the run to qualify for ILs, doesn’t it need to be the first time you enter the shrine? In that case if we apply the same thing in TOTK, this glitch cannot be used as you have to enter the shrine as part of the setup.
