I've seen this recipe a couple of times. The Old Bay seasoning and the fried onions are new to the mix. I know that this has me interested in trying it just to try it.
I am making this right now. I used a couple chicken breast's. I put them in the slow cooker with the 2 cups of broth on low and let it cook all day while I was working. Then I shedded them and used the broth. Can't wait for it to finish. I am starving. Lol
I just made your ‘Marry me Chicken’ last night for the second time….. great recipe! I’m definitely going to make this one because the cheddar biscuits are my favorite 😊
😅😅😅 You are right about the way a lot of ppl cook. Having everything at your finger tips is not how a great deal of ppl do it. I found you entertaining and real. Good job.
If you have stock/broth left over just put it in a plastic storage tub and freeze it. When I make a stew or soup in my crockpot I just put that block of frozen broth in there and it melts and adds flavor to the soup.👍🏻😊
I just checked out a bunch of other people doing this recipe and your's looks so much better. They don't add cheese to the biscuits or fried onions on top. When I make this I'm doing it your way. It looks delicious!😊
Those of us who cook daily do not ridicule you. We are just glad that we’re not the only ones that these things happen to. I’m 73 and every once in a while, we just have a day where everything goes wrong. Damn Murphy and his law anyway!
Looks great! Glad you make these recipes so we can figure out if we want to. Just FYI- liquid measurements go in the glass ones w the pouring spout. And dry ingredients get measured in the metal cups. They are measured differently and can effect the outcome of your recipe. But you did an excellent job as a home cook! Way to go!
I just put my chicken cobbler in the oven. It smells wonderful already. I made a full recipe for a senior luncheon I am attending in about 80 minutes. I did not use the French's onions on top; I did not want to make a trip to the grocery store as I had all the other ingredients.
For people that doesn't have alot of money you can use can chicken drain it and it is delicious I kn because I use it . Everyone can't afford bought chicken or even chicken period so you can use can. Just thought I would let you kn its good. Plus you can make your cheddar biscuits bisquet garlic and cheddar cheese
Great job Dave. 👏👏👏 Any man who will cook deserves recognition.. I would think that Tina appreciates you cooking sometimes. Your kids are probably like my grandson only likes certain foods and does not like to try new foods. This recipe looks like a meal I would enjoy.
@@sharlynebeach2786 I get it. Someone like you who has no idea what real cooking is, is impressed by following directions on a box. It is slightly more complicated than heating up a frozen pizza.
Hi Dave, I am not a fan of cooking anything at all. I am however a fan of watching your content on TH-cam. And Thank God my sweet Hubby loves to BBQ and does a great job or we would starve. Thank you so much for All your content ……. Your personality is real and fun! Take care, Teri
Dave I really enjoyed this video. I went back and rewatched marry me chicken and I came back to tell you look great. You were not “fat” but you have really worked hard congratulations
I think you used a 2 cup measuring cup. Instead of a one cup measuring cup. If you filled it up to the top, You actually put 4 cups of milk instead of two. Maybe that's why it's jiggly. Because it's too much liquid.
I would include the skin because it's such a small amount that with all the other ingredients it probably wouldn't be noticed and since that is the seasoned part it would add a lot more flavor.
I would've used the proper amount of chicken and veg. Also, old bay goes on seafood. The lobster bay biscuits are great on the chicken with the seasoning packet. If adding extra herbs, I would use tyme and sage to the filling. No fried onions. It's not a green bean casserole😊
Butter is good for you. I eat keto/ketovore. Heavy protein, heavy fat. By that I mean, healthy fats, olive oil, avocado, oil, butter, bacon, grease, and beef tallow. Never vegetable oil, corn, oil, nut oil. Those are all very high in omega six which causes inflammation. I had really really high cholesterol. I went keto and the first time in a long time my doctor could not believe all my cholesterol went way down to normal. I went on vacation kind of went off for six months went to the doctor had a blood draw and my cholesterol is really high again. So my doctor said get back on keto which is high fat, the good fat and high protein very little carbs cut all the sugar out and I went way back down my cholesterol again.
Looks good. Maybe try making the biscuit dough a little thicker and drop it on top of the veggies. Just too much liquid, but everyone can adjust to what they think is good.
* I'll bet it would have been better if you had the right amount of chicken & Veggies.. Then a tiny bit less liquid in biscuits.. Then spread the biscuits over whole thing & add liquid & Bake Longer ( one hour ?) then add onion bits & bake 10 to 15 minutes more.. Then let sit to firm up..The biscuits made my mouth water to think about!! LOL.. Love to watch you cook.. So Fun to see a New-bee cook...
That's not your usual kitchen. It's throwing me off. so it's more like a chicken pot pie. I would eat it. the butter in the white bowl on the griddle looked like a giant egg. BTW- I like the addition of the overhead camera. Can you post the recipe in the description please.
Depending on the type of can opener you’re using, I think you used it wrong…..it should go on the top of the can and cut into the rim of the can. No metal shreds on the can, as that sometimes happen~Loretta
the chicken should have been cooked in the center of the oven for proper cooking unless the recipe says to cook in upper third or lower third of the oven...chicken broth and chicken stock are the same thing, when you make homemade chicken stock you put carrots, onions and garlic in the pot with the chicken then you strain the liquid and it is broth. most store bought broth is usually chicken and water cooked, but stock will have more flavor. due to the veggies...
Just watched. That recipe you used made more than one mistake (broth/stock). There are so many vids on this cobbler, and I guarantee that the chicken soup and broth mixture gets poured over the chicken on the bottom. The biscuit mixture is the last thing you pour on top. The measurements of milk and broth etc. Are correct. Just the assembly is not. A better method is set the biscuit flavoring packet aside and mix it with 2 tbsp butter. When dish comes out of oven, brush the top with the butter and seasoning mixture. I really think you might want to make it again, and reversing your soup and biscuit steps. It's delicious. I'll make again but will include the fried onions. And maybe another handful of shredded cheese.350 for 50 mins is plenty! You'll see the difference immed when assembled correctly! Bon appetit!
Slow down and speak clearly thanks in advance . People watching from other countries have different names for spices be clear with you speaking and show bottles other wise leave it to experts thank you
Csn you start adding the recipe to the description box please 😊
That recipe is all over you tube ! Please find another channel I just muted the noise. !
I love your personality, Brother. It makes me think that I can do it. Thanks a bunch. I'm going to try it.

Next time crushed potato chips are a wonderful alternative.
Looks so good. I'm saving the video so I can make it
Gotta try this!
I'm glad this turned out well. I'll have to try it.
Looks delicious 😊

You crack me up and it looks really good.
You are hilarious! I hope you help other guys to also try cooking for themselves.
I finally found your food videos. Look great ! I'll be finding the rest of your channel's so I can watch them all.
Your great!
You cook like a real person. 👌👌👌👌
Yours is the best version I have seen so far.... Everything you did is what I would have done
Looks yummy Dave great episode 😊💐👍
Very entertaining and looks delish
I enjoy the way you cook., sort of my way, lol.
Looks Yummy Dave ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dave, you look so slim! Great job! Also, a cobbler is generally a softer biscuit. so more milk is ok.
Looks good 👍
I think this is a keeper!
Looks good 🎉
I've tried one without the Fried Onions but yours looks better. Thanks for the video.
It looked sooo good! Really made my mouth water! Great job!❤❤. Just wondering…what were you looking at above your head? ❤❤
I have a camera up there

Reminiscent of the bisquick impossible pies from the 70s.😁
I knew it reminded me of something.
How long have u had cooking channel? I like it!

When you pour your chicken stock, turn it so the pour hole is on the top and not the bottom, it’ll pour much easier. Now to finish to watching 😁
Dave I really enjoyed this video. I went back and rewatched marry me chicken and I came back to tell you look great. You were not “fat” but you have really worked hard congratulations
When you poured the milk it looked like you used a two cup measuring cup and filled it up so you used more liquid then it called for ?
That explains why the biscuit dough was a batter, rather than a dough.
I was thinking that too!
I think you used a 2 cup measuring cup. Instead of a one cup measuring cup. If you filled it up to the top, You actually put 4 cups of milk instead of two. Maybe that's why it's jiggly. Because it's too much liquid.
They all come out kind of wet that way.
No.😊
I believe if you let it stand for 5 minutes it will thicken up and create a gravy
Nope…definitely a 1 cup measuring cup!
I would include the skin because it's such a small amount that with all the other ingredients it probably wouldn't be noticed and since that is the seasoned part it would add a lot more flavor.
Hey Oh!!!
Looks like a modern twist on chicken ala king recipe.
Yum…
For those of us that ain't trying to have a ton of dishes to clean, this is the reality of cooking.

Should look brown and bubbly….not quite down at first, will thicken fast. It’s good!
Mine had too much liquid so will cut the chicken broth down next time. Had great flavor
Kerrygold butter is a healthy fat 😊

Just use one package of veggies....lol. This reminds me of cottage pie.
Oh I can’t have it…no sodium diet. It does look good!
Looks like your biscuit mixture had double the milk but I bet it tastes great!
Could you add cheddar cheese or would that overpower the other flavors? Cheese on top, not mixed in.
also "chocolate cobbler" is really lava cake!
Is your measuring cup 2 cups or 1 ...it looks like 2. 😮
FYI:Butter is better than most oils and better than all margarine.

I tried this but next time I'll put the broth/soup mixture over the vegetable layer then the Biscuit mixture on last
Italian seasoning and old bay-nahhh
Please just do it dont just gab gab!!! Whew
You got me when you said “Doesn’t taste healthy” 😂
😂😋😋 we poor people call it chicken pot pie.
If you place a damp paper towel or cloth towel under your cutting mat, it will not slip on your counter.

Its rotiserrie
Butter is better than margarine or shortening hydrogenated oil..I am going to try this recipe tysm!

Where's the written recipe? 🤔
Seemed like a deconstructed chicken pot pie.
Chicken stock and chicken Broth are the same thing Dave
Stock is generally unseasoned so it is good for recipes. I think broth is generally what we eat as a bowl of soup, with salt, rice, etc.
Actually, they're different but can be used interchangeably. Stock is made from bones and is richer than broth, which is made from vegetables.
Yeah 4 oz 😅 mine is the best . Lol. I don't have no cooking channel tho. 😅
😂😂😂 who cares about the mess as long as it's good!!
Your mileage may vary. Lol. You crack me up.
It would only be fattening if you ate the whole stick of butter on it's own..lol
My red lobster box said one cup of milk tho the 2 cups might make it runny
I put leftover chicken stock in freezer for next recipe
I miss the days when people didn't talk with food in their mouth, and at least strived to act a little dignified in public.
I don't know why people are using 2 cups milk in the biscuit mix. IT SHOULD BE 1 CUP MILK!!!
You pour with the hole on the top, not the bottom. Sounds wrong, but it's right.
why did you keep looking up?
That old bay seasoning is not good in it .😜
Miss seeing new cooking videos..
Good job sir. You ddi well. Common sense and just eyeball some. Real cooks do that. lol
I’m trying to figure out why he keeps looking up, I didn’t know if something was leaking or what. Lol
Way too jibber-jabber. Couldn’t finish it.
Looks like you're using a two cup measure
Good recipe but didnt reheat well
