I've always loved fashion and I'm currently studying a Bachelors in Psychology. But I'm wanting to do something creative on the side and also studying a certificate of Professional fashion design online and completing that on my own time. Love this video too it's helped me start sketching again as I've forgotten the basics

But watching your video for half an hour a few times, and I have actually created some very cute figures.! from a 69 year old grandmother- it takes an 18 year old to teach me- I am soo pleased, and I thankyou! This tutorial really REALLY helped me. Im not an artist, im a writer, but i wanted a way to put my character’s outfits onto something as a reference but every tutorial i tried to find was clearly for artists! I didn’t want to draw the character, i wanted to draw what they wore, and this really helped understand that it’s not rocket science to just get a sketch on a paper. Plus, most tutorials have everything in blocks. I see things made from lines, not boxes, just like stick figures!

Thanks for sharing this. I have a copy of Gertie's New Fashion Sketchbook, which already has very faint female forms in various standing positions, and so that part I don't need to know about right now, although I did find that interesting as well. :) It was cool to see how you drew your garment ideas onto the forms. That's given me encouragement and courage to just start drawing out my ideas. :)
