The droid itself might've been a big design flaw, but those missiles man...

I know right, they don’t have much armor but those missiles do be explosive when hitting an object like the AT-TE

What's the design flaw. Idk how a lack of armour is a design flaw, being interested in armoured warfare history many irl equivalents lack armour intentional to increase speed and range, so it has a significant benifit, whilst the large wheels decrease surface pressure. I love it

@@baileygregory9192 massive target silhouette in comparison to other vehicles. Only has two wheels, and likely has trouble turning. Will also suffer in hard terrain, which is just about everywhere. On top of that it packs a limited armament, as it has no room for extra missiles, and has only one hull mounted cannon that requires the entire chassis to move in order to aim. As far as vehicles go, it sucks, since it has no way to protect it's rear and flanks, and furthermore, is useful only in terrain that involves flat plains. There are a variety of other wheeled and treaded vehicles in SW that would serve as a far better and far more reliable platform than the Hailfire.

Just a reminder that last year the IRS hired 87,000 armed agents in case you mess up on your taxes

@@smileydog5941No they didn’t. Most of that 87000 was support staff.

This droid would do best in non-war purposes, like insane stunts.

I mean, the IG-227 hailfire droid WAS designed originally by the IGBC for non-war purposes. The IGBC used it for debt collection purposes (i.e. the IG-227 was a heavily armed tax collector).

Warfare today learns what the clones learned harshly on geonosis. Hailfire missiles are basically drones, able to seek targets independently after firing, switching easily between anti surface to anti air. Drone warfare.....

I don't think the droid has a design flaw, the directors had an action flaw
Lil guy would be great as back line artillery or anti air, but AoTC has zero tactics in its combat
I say that as someone who still thinks it looks cool

I don't know how they weren't menacing in the movie. They took out a at least 4 AT-TE's.

The banking clan was the first planet the republic attacked during the clone wars. Guess who owns the hailfire droids.... This is why they're never seen much....
