Droideka scenes | Revenge of the Sith
My favorite droids, the Droideka honestly I really thought they appeared longer than that but turns out to be short, these appeared in the Battle of Coruscant inside the Invisible Hand & the Battle of Utapau.
These dudes also appeared in Attack of the Clones & The Phantom Menace, as well in The Clone Wars Series.

Created by the Techno Union from the Confederacy of Independent systems, the Octuptarra Combat Tri-Droid was initially designed before the production of the Magna variant, this droid appears in the Battle of Utapau along with Grievous & several others, this is my top favorite Droid of the Separatist Alliance & it’s forced to be reckoned with. This design would go on to be used in the Clone Wars...

One of my top 3 favorites of the CIS army, the Persuader Droid is definitely a menacing Droid of the Droid army, these are the scenes shown during the Battle of Kashyyyk & a carcass in Salecumi. Unfortunately at the End of the of the War, it was shut down after the slaughtering by Darth Vader against the Separatist leaders on Mustafar. This does indeed appear in The Clone Wars series but I hate...

My 4th top favorite of the CIS army, the OG-9 Homing Spider Droid appeared within the very first battle of the Clone War which is Geonosis, this is the amount of screen time it had & it did appear in Revenge of the Sith but only seen briefly in Order 66 from Felucia. 0:04 - Where does this scene come from? I didn't know they could talk. They sound so cool 😮
This scene comes from where Anakin, Obi-wan & Chancellor Palpatine gets captured on the Ray shields activated by General Greivous’ droids on board, or more simpler, after Anakin says R2 will come down here & help which immediately shows R2 rolling & ramming into a wall
@@Miguelodon95 Ahhh, okay. Thank you so much :)
@@Fletch.no problem man
The amazing thing about Revenge of the Sith is that it literally felt like a war taking place amongst the stars.
After all it is the major battle of the Clone War
The clone wars series would have been a lot more brutal if the Hailfire droids were in some of those battles. I wish they had them in the show.
They are deadly after all & I agree
Drone fighter/bomber Mode 1. Walker 2. Flight mode
Okay so real question is, are they their own droid? Or do they need to be driven by other droid units? When I was a kid seeing this for the first time I thought they looked like snails but then noticed their “eyes” on top and thought they were alive. I love them either way! Long live the Separatist Alliance!
Well it could be inconsistent since these Droids are able to operate on their own for instance it’s confirm that they contain a Droid Brain meaning yes they can be themselves & thank you very much Long live the Separatists Alliance!
My favorite fighter in all of Star Wars. They remind me of MiGs especially the MiG-21, they have short range but they can take off from relatively rough terrain to pounce on unsuspecting aircraft and are maneuverable to boot. Their reliance on a control ship reminds me of the relationship of MiG-21s and Ground Control Intercept stations.
they sound like bowser jr
The ones on Utapau are a lot smaller than the huge ones on Mygeeto.
They really are
Actually they are different. The big ones are the Octuptarra Magna Droids, they're more like heavy armor. The smaller ones are just Octuptarras. Like heavily armed infantry. There are also biological warfare versions of the regular Octuptarras.
This movie this Droid dose not have Shields
I didn’t even realize that thanks for pointing that out
They also appear Clone Wars
That is true, it was stated in the description
Firing missiles
Why do they sound like Minions
I have no clue whatsoever
What the peak
0:06 droidieka talking?
Yeah seems like it
The design, the Sound is so cool and even the CGI are so well made
I couldn’t agree more!
I remember when I was a kid I nicknamed them "O.V.N.I Droide (U.F.O Droid)".
Master, destroyers! They've got shield generators!
Where are those droidekas?
They sound gibberish
Right
Jango looks like he does in the video game wtf
Warfare today learns what the clones learned harshly on geonosis. Hailfire missiles are basically drones, able to seek targets independently after firing, switching easily between anti surface to anti air. Drone warfare.....
Intergalactic Banking Clan bought these droids for debt retrieval. Entire planets would bow down to the banking clan because of these droids and as a result the banking clans homeworld was attacked first by the republic during the clone wars.
The IG-227 Hailfire Droid was a debt collector for the Intergalactic Banking Clan, the NR-N99 Persuader-Class Tank Droid was used to “persuade” people to pay their interest or change their minds about the Corporate Alliance’s business plans. The Commerce Guild used the OG-9 Homing Spider Droid to enforce the Guild's laws and to ensure that its customers paid their debts, as well as to protect Guild assets.
Some interesting details you got there, nice job 😁
0:00-0:06 Brothers! Enemies approaching! Transform, engage, and destroy!
I also like this scene where the vulture droids talk to each other
"CAUTION: TWO ETA-2 CLASS INTERCEPTORS INBOUND, ONE RED, ONE YELLOW, BROADCASTING SUPPORT REQUEST TO NEARBY UNIT TRI-082, TRI-083, VGSP-1203 AND VGSP-1309."
From the 7 droidekas that captured obi-wan, only 1 or 2 survived the arena battle.
I don't know how they weren't menacing in the movie. They took out a at least 4 AT-TE's.
Seems like it but those are deadly after all
The banking clan was the first planet the republic attacked during the clone wars. Guess who owns the hailfire droids.... This is why they're never seen much....
You should have included the scene of the close-up shots missing between 0:10 and 0:11
Probably should’ve done that but I rather have a an actual shot of them, the reason why I kept the AT-TE being shot is to prove how powerful they really are
Always find it funny that we see a droideka at 1:05 roll up to avoid fire from the LAAT
Yeah true, that is their tactic after all
They are so cool!
They really are truly 😎
Woohoooo! i love this,great job
Thank you man Preciated, also thanks for the correction as well!
Mygeeto? Or is that a different variant
This is the Octuptarra COMBAT variant, Mygeeto is the Magna variant of the Tri-Droid
it is funny to see how they like don't "hang" around in hangers but just walk outside the ship and be like birds
Basically they’re just chillin
They do hang like bats in the tv show
yeap, even so maybe Grievous put them in there bc he had the chancellor and basically most of the Separatist Navy was protecting the main Flagship _The Invisible Hand_
I don't think the droid has a design flaw, the directors had an action flaw Lil guy would be great as back line artillery or anti air, but AoTC has zero tactics in its combat I say that as someone who still thinks it looks cool
I definitely agree with you 😎
This droid would do best in non-war purposes, like insane stunts.
Yeah for real
I mean, the IG-227 hailfire droid WAS designed originally by the IGBC for non-war purposes. The IGBC used it for debt collection purposes (i.e. the IG-227 was a heavily armed tax collector).
Wow, all that fire power to make people pay their taxes lol
😂
Just a reminder that last year the IRS hired 87,000 armed agents in case you mess up on your taxes
@@smileydog5941No they didn’t. Most of that 87000 was support staff.
This thing would’ve been killer at the second battle of Geonosis especially how the republic just circled all their vehicles at the landing zone. Just circle their position and fire the rockets at an arch high enough to come back down and hit the middle
That be insane if that happens, that would prove to be the most deadly CIS Droids
They looked like snails 🐌
They really do honestly
What a beautiful tank design. When I was little I watched Revenge of the Sith on DVD so many times that I even watched the scenes in slow motion and noticed that 0:28 this tank's eyes turn off for a frame before exploding. you can see it on 0.25 speed
Yeah while I was editing it I didn’t even noticed it was “blinking” for a split second, also Persuader Droids are glorious designs to the CIS 😎
The droid itself might've been a big design flaw, but those missiles man...
I know right, they don’t have much armor but those missiles do be explosive when hitting an object like the AT-TE
What's the design flaw. Idk how a lack of armour is a design flaw, being interested in armoured warfare history many irl equivalents lack armour intentional to increase speed and range, so it has a significant benifit, whilst the large wheels decrease surface pressure. I love it
@@baileygregory9192 massive target silhouette in comparison to other vehicles. Only has two wheels, and likely has trouble turning. Will also suffer in hard terrain, which is just about everywhere. On top of that it packs a limited armament, as it has no room for extra missiles, and has only one hull mounted cannon that requires the entire chassis to move in order to aim. As far as vehicles go, it sucks, since it has no way to protect it's rear and flanks, and furthermore, is useful only in terrain that involves flat plains. There are a variety of other wheeled and treaded vehicles in SW that would serve as a far better and far more reliable platform than the Hailfire.
@@Kreschavier counter argument. It's cool, now pay your debts
@@baileygregory9192 I am ComStar. You are telling me to pay myself.
Love these little four-legged mechanical freaks. Their shots pack quite a punch. In The Clone Wars we saw them shooting down AT-TE walkers and LAAT/i gunships.
I like these guys too & that is true
What about the holo from when Kenobi gets captured?
I forgot about that, I’ll fix that soon, thank you for letting me know that
Where are those droidekas?
I wonder why it never appeared in the Clone Wars series? Same can be asked for the hail-fire droid.
It’s unknown why these Spider Droids went unused but the Hailfire was due to having limited fire power, so I guess it’s due to their features that didn’t make the cut
Ngl I love how TCW portrayed the Gunship in the Onderon arc. Unbreakable monster, only managed to be brought down by the most powerful rockets at the time.
Yeah the HMP are a definition of a menacing deadly Droid
1:05 Homer simpson is the pilot of that Laat/i
Funny! soo funny! hahaha funny! you must be a super funny guy!
As I pointed out before in an other video of yours, the frames during these battles are so full of details, this is beyond amazing.
I know right!!
For curious people, the hailfire and OG spiders are used in various star wars games, one of them is The Clone wars (2002) where you litteraly wish they wouldn't exist and then you have modded empire at war, ground battle etc
CIS in any "realistic" war would wipe the floor with the republic. Numbers, higher specialization (a droid not a generic being in a vehicle), none of the biological limitations(growing, aging, breathing, eating, sleeping etc.)... the rockets seem overpowered as well. Hell if this wasn't a kidz show chemical warfare would end the clones quickly.
Yeah those Hailfire Droids would attempt to carry the CIS army
I have it as lego
1 rocket destroying the whole AT-TE has always bewildered me
That’s exactly why I decided to include that scene in
it hit the weakspot in the design: the undercarriage. Surprisingly there were no separatist landmines in filoniwars. While there were in the 2003 clone wars that gave these things hell.
TCW fanboys gonna be pissed, but CW is superior in so many ways.@@ltraltier6009
Modern rpg29 recoilless rifle can destroy modern tanks easily the same way. The droids designer spared no expense!
@@Xterminate13 That's because people in the entertainment industry back then were often former engineers from other industries and designed things to work IRL.
