I own Kwid and I was so exited to upgrade to Kiger but after test drive, I feel only turbo engine is proper for use. And in my budget I can only afford RXL and engine struggles in second gear. Magnite is the same. Both needs 1.2 ltr engine even if it's 3 cylinder.
There are only two shortcomings- (1) non turbo is sluggish, (2) internal door lock unlock switch is from 2010s. Needs to be upgraded. The turbo is great.
Only two shortcomings? In fact, you've not even listed the biggest 2 issues dude: 1. Cabin Quality issues: Press any plastic or joints like infotainment, dashboard, door handle, door panel, arm rest etc and they rattles and squeak like crazy. For comparison, my Rs. 800 Prestige Electric Kettle handle is much sturdier than Kiger's handle. As a result, body sounds start developing much earlier than other cars. For reference, even Tata Thiago's interior plastics feels much more sturdier. 2. Highest NVH level in the segment: Tata is known for high NVH. Trust me, Punch feels like an Skoda compared to Kiger's NVH level. Road and tyre noise easily get inside. With AC on, especially at idle or lower gears, it vibrates like a tractor. Even the gear level is the harshest in the segment. There are many other issues like the two you've mentioned and others like lowest mileage and outdated designs but the above mentioned two are the main shortcomings. - from a 10k odo kiger owner.
@@bokinlego That is what you are ready to live with if you are spending 10 lakh ex showroom instead of 12 lakh ex showroom of comparable cars with similar features. Even the vibrations of the engine.
@@Amit_Kumar_Trivedi My cousin is an owner of Service Centre where cars from BMW to Maruti are being serviced, repaired and maintained. He keeps Kiger above Tata Punch in all parameters. According to him Toyota, Honda are the best and Maruti is the worst in many parameters.
How would you compare this to 3xo which gives gr8 turbo engine which highest in class torque, 5 star safety, fine built, also spacious cabin, and a decent balance of features at mx3 variant at same 11 lakhs approx
Renault should work for engine & interior plastic they can add some cost for that but I can say that is so much benifit for customer either they loose market
A thoughtful review, but then why do you all miss offering your view on the effectiveness of the ac in peak heat It is a deal breaker in a country like ours.
Major con: Renault is stingy with its AC system, the cabin gets very hot due to the black plastics used and the AC needs 5 whole mins to cool down the cabin. Source: Myself (Kiger owner) Major pro: overall great package for the money with a perfect all encompassing variant being the RXT(OPT).
Magnite seems to be simple affordable car but lacks charm looks old school on the other hand kiger has that x factor looks aggressive muscular which attracts the spectators
Kiger Turbo is a perfect alternative for Tata Punch, Exter, Baleno and other hatchbacks.
A reliable car with more space and and more power.
Turbo is too much costly sir, this vehicle should have available in 1.2 NA with 4 cylinder engine.
@_RSA111 I agree. Exter, Punch and others have better NA engine than Kiger.

@@bokinlego Unsurprisingly, you don't own a Kiger! It is clear when you compared TATA Punch's NVH with Kiger's🤣 and you have tractor for sure!!
