    Today I noticed on my 2013 GTI the washer fluid was no longer coming out of the nozzle. I suspected it was low on fluid. I filled the resevoir and actuated the washer lever. I could hear the fluid flowing back but it wasn't coming out the nozzle. I opened the hatchback and sure enough it was flowing everywhere but out the nozzle. I typically can figure things out but before I destroyed the interior panel, I opted to find a video. My search led me to you!! T20 two screws, got it! Extra hose, awesome! Excellent repair, my kinda engineering.. Thank you! I sincerely appreciate your video.

    Hope you see this - Thanks buddy. Had the same issue and only noticed after holding the button thinking it was a blockage and flooding out my boot because of the broken tube 😂 your vid made it easy to find the culprit and make a repair. Cheers

    I just watched your video last night and did your exact same repair on my 2012 Golf. I didn't have to remove panels I just removed wiring boot. Thanks for sharing!

    I have a Passat B7 and currently suffering from the same problem. Roof inside gets wet if I use the back wiper. The fluid then leaks onto connectors and there is a shortcut with the trunk lid motor I think.
    Edit: fixed the leak with the help of this video!

    Hi, your video saved the day for! After three failed attempts to fix a VW Up broken hose on the hatch it is now fixed thanks to your video. Never thought of using locking wire which is a bit ironic especially as I am a retired aeronautical engineer🤔
    Thanks again just proves if you keep looking some clever person will have a solution and is willing to share it.

    Great video, thanks! I have an estate mk 7.5 and at times I get some fluid coming into the car on the inner part of the window - I will be fixing it up soon.

    Thank you! I had the same issue and fixed it with a piece of 1/4 ID nylon tubing, silicone, heat shrink, and tape.

    Thanks for this repair information. I did that on a 2010 Golf Trendline. I found it too hard to remove the two panels of the hatch back door, but I managed to do it by just working on that accordion tube that is accessible without removing the panels. After de-booting this accordion tube, I found the 2 electric wires and the leaking wash tube that was broken in 2 points, about the same as in the video. These breaks were due to the multiple repeated action of opening and closing the back door (poor German engineering, like their stupid PCV valve and their plastic housing for the oil filter) . After removing some bits of tape wrapped around the wash tube, there was enough clearing to bridge the 2 broken point of the wash tube with a piece of Tygon tubing inserted tightly over the wash tube. And I used copper wiring to clip tighter the new connections.

    Thanks had the same problem. Tip: try fixing the tube without removing the panels because removing and placing back the panels is a pain in the ***.

    Unfortunately, that solution won't last long and I had the same problem and tried to do the same thing, and after a month the new part of the noise broke. And so I did it a couple of times until I went to the junkyard and took the original hose and reconnected it with the connectors and now I have no problems for a year, I hope I won't have any more.

    Can you do video repair of the same vehicle for the visor vanity wiring inside the headliner (overhead)? Thanks a million for the Tube fix on back washer line. 2010 MK6 GTI owner.

      Were you able to get the visor light working? Driver or passenger side ... although I suspect the fix would be the same for both?

    Is that aquarium hose?

    • @TALL-PINES_STUFF
      @TALL-PINES_STUFF  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm ... could be? Just a chunk of plastic hose I had lying around. Main thing is finding a piece that is the right size to fit over the existing VW washer hose.
