I think the 1791 with the pen holder out front is probably the better option. I see people who would argue that you lose a spot for a folding knife. That seems silly to me. I scout carry a 6 inch fixed blade on my back, and keep a folding knife in my front pocket with get this, it's pocket clip. Right up where you need it. So much of the edc content I see is just fixing problems that don't even exist. For me the only things that I'd want to consider putting in a belt organizer like this are my Leatherman and a flashlight. Anything beyond that is a bonus. Keeping a quality pen there in my opinion outweighs having a redundant second folding knife, or just carrying your main folder there (because pockets are just so hard lmao) great video and very helpful to make an educated decision.
I really wish we could add pictures to our comments.... Anyway I wear a Brown 1791 edc holster with belt loops like the ones you showed around the mid nine minute mark. Nice thick leather w/ great stitching. Just great work overall. I'm in love with it. Use it daily in construction for about a yr now. Keep a Leatherman Free P4, w/ Olight Arkfield Plus, & a mini Pry-Bar in the tiny slot. It's held up great. It wears great for me at least. I wear around 7-8 oclock on the waist. That setup compliments the rest ofy EDC quite well
Thanks! This is the exact video I was hoping you would make: I’m new to edc and I can’t spend hundreds of dollars just to figure out if a sheath might work. Thanks again!
I got a "Gentlestache Multitool Sheath for Belt Multitool Pouch Leather Belt Holder for Multitool EDC Pocket Organizer with Clip for Belt and Flashlight Holster Multitool Color Black" off 4m4zon for around twenty five bucks and have been happy with it. Thanks for showing some options.
This comes at a great time. I need a new holder for my MP600 and I don't have TOK money to spend right now and you did all the leg work for me. Thanks. Now I have to make a final decision.
It was for the similar design. I already cancelled the order. TOK took care of the refund right away. No penalty. The one you suggested I do not even know its on my waist and everything goes in/out with ease and it stays on the belt. Thanks again
I carry a Leatherman Wingman, a smaller multitool. I've found that horizontal carry works best for me with this, since it's the only thing in the holster. The BSA knife case has the best design of any for this, but it's too long, and the nylon tends to wear out (as nylon does). I'd love something like that in a 4-4.5" length.
What's so Bazaar, I was just about to head to Amazon after searching first for a EDC case for 21700 series flashlight. Where I do have the fabric nylon ones that were probably made for Leatherman multi tool case with flap over cover. But just enough room to add a small AAA pen light in the second slot. Thanks hugely for a cool presentation. Cheers
Great review i was on the Hunt for something like this the one with the clip at the end having the possibilité to have it on belt or in the pocket have a great appeal 😂
atm i am trying out double pistol mag holder as my multitool and flashlight sheeth. Until now it works quite well. And it was about 6 bucks on aliexpress
What is your opinion on a substitute item for the flash light slot on the main street forge sheath ? I already have a aurora a3 flashlight on my keys i was thinking aluminum pill container to hold bits or first aid ?
I've been thinking about such a thing for me daily. Will I order it or make it myself? I don't carry multitools anymore, but... I F'n Love Pocket consistency.
I have the same Main Street Forge sheath. After a short time, my sheath was coming off the belt clip. Had to go look for it several times. I ended up placing a small airhose safety clip through the bottom of the clip. Now it stays in place. Just sucks I had to fix it.
Hey Dom could do one of these for Non leather materials like cordura? I love leather also but moisture and sweat is very predominant in my line of work
It would be great to see these worn on your body to get a feel of how 'obvious' they are under your clothing. In Australia people will get spooked and think you're carrying a gun if they see the holster poking out under a t-shirt. Otherwise, very thorough video as always.
First timer here. Thanks for the welcome. I'm torn here; I don't like things on my [Bat] belt, but I absolutely love pocket consistency. My needs are few, really- Front Left- L2R Marker Pen Flashlight (Inside) Wallet Microfiber cloth Front right- Phone Knife(out of work) Back right- Primary knife Back left- Trash Occasionally a knife. Cargo pockets be dammed(though I use them for stuff).
Hey Maxlvledc. Do you have some sheath recommendations for carrying a leatherman surge with the extender bit and bit kits? And maybe a flashlight or pen too?
Well, it's a great idea, my problem is, i already have so much crap hanging off my waist that i can't keep my pants up.. not to mention available space
When I see a pliers based multi tool and a thing for marking (pen, marker or pencil), the third item that comes to mind is a tape measure. Someone needs to reinvent and improve tape measures so they don’t have a square shaped case and are a better fit for holsters like the type in this video.
If you really want perfect fit you either wet form or roll the dice and hope your gear fits. Nothing really works as well as wet forming for custom fit and it’s not difficult or bad for decent quality leather.
It’s a shame TOK doesn’t ship their products to Asian countries, and they’re pretty rude about it when you write in to ask. Something about exposing themselves to counterfeiters. Frankly it’s money on the table they’re ignoring.
Honestly hearing that they were rude to you even though you only wanted to support them, and essentially insinuated that you are counterfeiter simply because you're in an Asian country is mind boggling. This brand will never get a dollar from me because of that. Thank you.
This is actually very helpful. There are so many manufacturers of sheaths that it is hard to know which is worth grabbing and which is not. THanks Dom

I don't even want a multitool sheath, but the last one you showed had made me realize that I'm probably looking for an organizer with a clip.
Thanks Dom my TOK order ships 8/15. I just ordered the mountain forge because of your review. Thanks hope all is well
I use 1791's canted sheath for my Centerdrive. only a year old but it's solid..will buy more from them in the future.
It was for the similar design. I already cancelled the order. TOK took care of the refund right away. No penalty. The one you suggested I do not even know its on my waist and everything goes in/out with ease and it stays on the belt. Thanks again

viperade has a horizontal sheath for cheap that would work.
@@maxlvledc thanks! I'll take a look.

The clip on the Main Street gorge is slightly hook shaped too, so it will catch on the belt and not slide off unless you want it to. 13:00
yep yep. and the piece of metal on opposite side as well.
Great review i was on the Hunt for something like this the one with the clip at the end having the possibilité to have it on belt or in the pocket have a great appeal 😂
Don received Main Street Forge. Love it. Review was 100% on the money. I’m thinking about cancelling TOK order
if its for the similar design then I would..but if your getting the larger ones...those are truly incredible and will last a lifetime.
I know this is silly but what is that screwdriver in your big black tale of knives holster? It looks perfect for what I’m looking for.
A multitool, A pocket knife and A flashlight. This is the combination that needs a case made.
more ways to spend money!! WOOT WOOT!!!
atm i am trying out double pistol mag holder as my multitool and flashlight sheeth. Until now it works quite well. And it was about 6 bucks on aliexpress
hmm, interesting.
What would be a good one for the old Leatherman Super tool 300?
What is your opinion on a substitute item for the flash light slot on the main street forge sheath ? I already have a aurora a3 flashlight on my keys i was thinking aluminum pill container to hold bits or first aid ?
Man, I sure like the option to save entire memo section to file for all the active links provided.
My Note20Ultra made it all possible.
Cheers
I've been thinking about such a thing for me daily.

That sucks
I’m struggling to find the tale of knives style sheath, to carry my sofirn sc33. Its diameter is 1.25
Re: that first 1791 sheath: would that weirdly sized slot accommodate a slim pen + mechanical pencil? Because if so that could be a nice advantage
100%, probably 3-4 pens in fact.
Hey Dom could do one of these for Non leather materials like cordura? I love leather also but moisture and sweat is very predominant in my line of work
best one is likely skinth solutions.

Imo, there are no guarantees, but the first one is the flattest by far.
Hello early vistors!
First timer here. Thanks for the welcome.
I'm torn here; I don't like things on my [Bat] belt, but I absolutely love pocket consistency.
My needs are few, really-
Front Left-
L2R
Marker
Pen
Flashlight
(Inside)
Wallet
Microfiber cloth
Front right-
Phone
Knife(out of work)
Back right-
Primary knife
Back left-
Trash
Occasionally a knife.
Cargo pockets be dammed(though I use them for stuff).
Hey Maxlvledc. Do you have some sheath recommendations for carrying a leatherman surge with the extender bit and bit kits? And maybe a flashlight or pen too?
Skinth solutions is best imo
Well, it's a great idea, my problem is, i already have so much crap hanging off my waist that i can't keep my pants up.. not to mention available space
Time for suspenders!
4 more straps for stuff!
haha, classic
@pretentiousname01 indeed.. the thought has occurred... lol
And the last one is sold-out nice
is it??
@maxlvledc "currently unavailable" 💀
The main street forge one is in stock on Amazon and on their website also

uum.....you're a genius...a tape measure in the shape of a pen...it needs to happen
You should tell nextool to build a powerpint competitor
they did, W2 its amazing.
@maxlvledc ordered mine last week, waiting for delivery and very excited!
If you really want perfect fit you either wet form or roll the dice and hope your gear fits. Nothing really works as well as wet forming for custom fit and it’s not difficult or bad for decent quality leather.
I only appendix carry my leatherman.
Looking for multi tool and arkflex
all of these should work fine with arkflex
thanks
Dom

Given the current situation that fear is a legitimate concern. Asia is the world’s worst at protecting intellectual property.
