Portland went on to win the next 4 games in a row to win the 1977 NBA Championship, and the altercation may have fueled their surge...

World B averaged 28 PPG1978-79 and then 30. 179-80. Smith was traded to Cleveland for draft picks. And when Paul Silas replaced Gene Shue World B was traded for Warriors guard Phil Smith. World B would go on to score another14-000 points while Phil Smith was waived after only one year. Still for one year 1978-79 The clippers had at guard 1-4 Wirld B ,Randy Smith, Freeman Williams, Brian Taylor. Very potent offense.
