Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is a Godtier shoe for me. The best racing shoe for the every day runner IMO. It’s one of the most comfortable shoes (not just racing shoe) I’ve worn despite having plate in it.
Thank you for in-depth reviews, Alex. I've been rotating Hoka Rocket X2, Saucony and Endorphin Pro 3 & 4. I just can't wait for NB SC trainer 3. Guess it'll be released sometime in June. 😊
Thank you Alex, really nice video. I was curious to see how would you have ranked the new super shoes the asics metaspeed paris that for many reviewers seems to be top tier
The logic would be to remove some shoes in the future and replace with new versions. Thankfully for ASICS their Paris versions remain in the godtier category (the Edge for sure, maybe the Sky drops down to Home Run...)
well .. strung v1 was quite narrow + technically not race legal + first shoe ever to give me blister under my foot (because so narrow) ... this being said, I would still rate it relatively high (I changed the insole to prevent blisters)
Hi Alex thanks for doing racing shoe tier list 😁 I suggested it in the comments I while back so it’s awesome to see you’ve done one Great content as usual I’ve not run in many of theses but I love the vaporfly 3 🤣 and I’d probably have put the adddas pro 3 in boring
The s/lab phantasm 2 is incredible but as you said its only good for certain type of runners, kind of remind me of the vaporfly next2% in the way the geometry works and the feeling of the midsole
I'm 68 years old & I do hill repeats 4 times a week. I don't jog or run 10-minute miles. What lightweight forward-moving shoe would you recommend? I''m 5'7 150 lbs.
Were spending more with Nike per shoe especially and getting less for our money, less sole rubber, smaller tongues, thinner uppers they arent lasting quiet as long either. Nikes tend to need alot of superglue as well 😅😅
2 god tier shoes i have are endorphin pro 3: threshold, vo2 max, short interval workouts adios pro 3: threshold, marathon pace, long run with mp in the middle
I find it absolutely insane that people are running in shoes with 40mm stacks and 10mm drops, what has happened to the industry, this is mirroring the automotive trends towards massive stupid wasteful SUVs. These shoes may have marginal gains in speed over long distances but you are sacrificing your form and foot strength using these things, nobody should be using any of these on a remotely regular basis. I just got a new model of a shoe I used years ago (Newton Gravity) and to my horror it now has a 36mm heel and a 6mm drop, which wasn't in the specs. They are horrific and I need to send them back. You lot have been Stockholm syndromed into this madness. 20mm stack and 2mm drop should be the absolute limit for running shoes, ideally less. Apply pressure to the industry to invovate in a lower stack shoe rather than relying on stack and stacks of foam
@@AlexFilittiregarding the fit on the Endorphin Pro 3, what was bad about it ? in my normal size it was way too small but once I went up half a size, it felt really great .. so light and breathable .. I think it's the only shoe I have in 11.5 and I own like 60+ running shoes lol ... I also own the Endorphin Elite, Vaporfly 3, Alphafly 3, WRP2 but I've not tested any of them yet lol .. I'll give you my ranking once done ;p Now considering gettting Paris Edge and Cielo X1 .. I've tried WRP1 recently .. really not a fan so far .. Regarding alphafly (1) vs vaporfly (1), I've always been more of an Alphafly guy .. I would only pick the Vaporfly for short distances races/segments under 5km ... it feels very propulsive at max speed but as soon as I get a bit tired of max speed, it does not help me as much as the alphafly

for me and my wife too
I agree. Godtier shoe for sure
Same here !! 🥇
Underrated despite all the great reviews.
I would agree as well! It was a great race day shoes. But I haven’t tested the metaspeed or Alphafly 3 yet 😅
The Adidas Adios Pro 3 has been on the podium so many times over the years and continues to do so to this day. Can’t get any more god tier than that!
Enjoyed this listing Alex , and the explanations as to why they fit in your tier listing .
Thanks John! I’d be curious to see your rankings :)
The fast R is a great shoe for me, but after 20km i always get blisters on the side
The fit is very narrow. Your feedback doesn’t surprise me
Endorphin pro 3 is great. Just picked up a metaspeed sky paris and it seems great. giving it a try at the broad street run 10 miler in may.
Let us know how you do at the 10miler and which shoe you'll end up using there!
@AlexFilitti will try to remember lol. Shooting for sub 64 minutes.
Saucony Elite is a GT one for sure
Nice review! It would be great to see the full tier rankings published on your meta-endurance website for reference.
Thanks for the idea! We can make it happen with the team :)

If I remember well it’s July or August. I look forward to it as well.
@AlexFilitti Oh, thanks for the info, Alex. It'll be a happy summer this year. 😊
I must be a bit strange but Cielo X1 fits me great and I love the laces ❤ Not a racing shoe.. Just fun for a long run..
Yes a lot of fun for longer runs. Glad to hear it fits you well!
Thank you Alex, really nice video. I was curious to see how would you have ranked the new super shoes the asics metaspeed paris that for many reviewers seems to be top tier
Thanks for the nice comment!
Nitro Elite 2 is very good for short runs up to 10km and track but a bit unstable
Track is where I like it the most.
As someone who also loves the Rocket X2 (godtier for me); which is the better choice between Edge and Sky Paris?
Edge!
When is the tempo list coming out?
You forgot the endorphin elite. Would love to know how it compares to the endorphin pro.
Wow, I have the Diadora Gara Carbon. Love that you rate it as high as I do.
With the metaspeed+ at god-tier, what level do you have left for the paris version? What is above god?😅
The logic would be to remove some shoes in the future and replace with new versions. Thankfully for ASICS their Paris versions remain in the godtier category (the Edge for sure, maybe the Sky drops down to Home Run...)
Super saiyan god then ultra instinct? 😅
@@mouahmong I was thinking of Kipchoge level 🤔
How is stung x2 not god tier? I have them and they are so good
well .. strung v1 was quite narrow + technically not race legal + first shoe ever to give me blister under my foot (because so narrow) ... this being said, I would still rate it relatively high (I changed the insole to prevent blisters)
Agreed
I don’t see the Endorphin Elite, where would you rank that shoe?
What about the TYR??
This was recorded before my first run in it. Sorry Yaki. Probably a tier 3, maybe a tier 2 if it improves after some kms
Thank you for this clear and transparent video. God job!
Of course I will rate a bit diffent some of the shoes, but I agree for most of them!
Thanks for the supportive comment! Go check the link and share your own tier list on Instagram tagging @metaendurance so we can repost ;-)
Would love to see this video with older shoes 🫶

of these, I only tried vaporfly 1 and adidas pro 2 .. and I would agree, I used pro 2 as a daily trainer ..
The s/lab phantasm 2 is incredible but as you said its only good for certain type of runners, kind of remind me of the vaporfly next2% in the way the geometry works and the feeling of the midsole
Next video daily trainer tier list
Thank's a lot, and de Saucony Elite???? I guess is on the top, even better than Alphafly.
Dang I forgot it! Runnable I’d say
no shoe has matched the Alphafly, esp the og version
I'm 68 years old & I do hill repeats 4 times a week. I don't jog or run 10-minute miles. What lightweight forward-moving shoe would you recommend? I''m 5'7 150 lbs.
For me the Adios Pro 3 is the best overall shoe from 10k to long runs up to the marathon. So comfy!
There you go!!! Thanks for your comment David
Metaspeed sky paris??
Edge Paris : godtier
Sky Paris : home run
Where is ASICS Metaspeed Paris series? I would suspect those are Godtier?
Godtier! Edge for sure, Sky maybe Godtier or dropping down one tier.
What about the Sky Paris makes you consider dropping it down one tier?
Alex, for who loved vaporfly 2, which shoe do you reccomend?
Why are only super high stacked cushioned plated shoes ranked?
Do you ever rate anything beside marathon shoes??
Were spending more with Nike per shoe especially and getting less for our money, less sole rubber, smaller tongues, thinner uppers they arent lasting quiet as long either. Nikes tend to need alot of superglue as well 😅😅
Metaspeed sky+ is the best
A great shoe indeed!
Missing Endorphin Elite🥲
Sorry for that! It's in between Runnable and Runner's High for me. what about you?
At end of video if want to what all god tier shoes discussed, can't tell from the figure. Shud have been a summary.
Adios Pro 3 is a weird Shoe😢it performs but something is missing , it's just a cruise control , it takes time to get used to it 😢
Pro tip, show the tier list during the video and not just yourself
