Quick shoutout to Craig for all his hard work.
First time cruiser. Based on reviews including Pete’s, I booked the Dream and saved $600 vs The Wish. And I dont feel like Im missing out. Thank you!
great video - i love the honesty and thoughtfulness before expressing yourself.
I just love Panda , he is so fun and positive and I really do enjoy hanging out at the Cove Cafe .Can’t wait to go on the Wish🫶🏼
This really cements my feeling that the Wish is not for us. Sailing 4 day on Dream out of Miami this October. Priced out 3 day on Wish next May and it was over $1000 more for similar accommodations. Elaine you’re a rockstar
Changed to a 5 night Dream cruise for the same price including hotel stay.
Our Wish cruise is our first DCL cruise so I have nothing to compare it to. I mean except for Carnival ships….so I fully expect to be overwhelmed by marvelousness!
@kathy Romack Don’t worry you will be! Just got off today:) Gorgeous!
Great show. I love Panda and Elaine with Pete. I probably never will be able to do a Disney Cruise but I love watching the shows about them.
You can do Anything, John. Dream, plan, save, enjoy!
I didn’t think I could either but I’m booked for March!!!!you can do it!
I agree with the other comments! Just plan for an inside stateroom for like August, September time. UNLESS you're a northerner and will melt in the heat outside! 😃😀 Even if you have to fly into Miami and stay overnight to get on the ship without the stress of your flight being delayed flying same day, it's definitely affordable to save and pay with a payment plan... The inside staterooms are still gorgeous and comfortable.
Pete,
When can I get an handicapped accessible trip review? 🤔🤔
Panda: "The Barbery is so masculine, I was straight for two hours after I got of there."
This is why I love Pete, Panda, and the rest of the DIS team. 😍
😂
I'll go on the smaller ships (Magic and Wonder) before I will go on the Wish. I will be going on the Fantasy next month, but love the Magic the best out of all of them.
Agree Pete. The ship grew on us as the days went on, but are in no rush to go back. Will stick with the 7 day Fantasy.
I’m FINALLY taking a chance on a Disney Cruise more than thirty years after our one and only previous “Disney” cruise (back when it was Still “The Big Red Boat” from the late, unlamented Premiere Cruise Lines!)…and yet, the ship we are taking out of our hometown San Diego, the Wonder (which is THE ONLY OPTION we get out here on the West Coast)…this poor ship gets So LITTLE LOVE from anybody, even though it seems like such a nice ship (also, we’re actually getting a nice price for a 6a/4 night Baja at a shade under $2000)…
We sailed on the 5 night maiden and by the last day we started to know are way around the ship. It just takes time to get to know this new ship. But are favorite ship is still the Wonder.
$3300 Wish 4 night $2290 4 night Dream from Port Canaveral ( Past pricing ) same stateroom category!
I though you, Craig and Eliane gave an excellent review of the Wish sharing your personal experience . It sounds like a beautiful ship. If I could afford it , the fine dining places would be what I would like , where as a family with young children , the children's activities through out the day would be a top priority for them . Each person experiences their cruise in their own way . Pete, I can identify with you regarding change . I'm 82 and very aware that I often don't like change . I wasn't so much like that a few years ago. A family owned restaurant that my neighbor and I gone to for many years closed a couple of years ago . I avoid even looking that way when I drive by . My neighbor and her husband had moved back to Australia a few years before .
I love see the three of you together . Great team!
So excited to hear that the stabilizers are even better on the Wish! I struggle to cruise b/c of motion sickness & having to take meds to go so this gives me hope that perhaps I can go w/o taking meds!!!
I’m going in November and going to check it out to see what I think but good to know this information
Family is sailing on The Wish in September. We’ve done Magic & Fantasy. After hearing Pete repeatedly work at selling the Dream, I feel like I haven’t really experienced a great DCL trip yet! I guess we are booking the Dream for early 2023!
We really wish all the ships would extend some of their activities and theming to the teen spaces. My son LOVED the Star Wars options on the Dream and Fantasy. The teen spaces seem to be a lot of group games, dance parties and gaming. It’s a much harder sell to my teenager who is missing the younger kids clubs.
I agree! So much effort goes into imagineering in the kids clubs but the tween and teen club ares are just seating and video games. I get that it is more of a meeting place and hang out for older kids but they could have done some really cool things there too.
So glad we’re going concierge on our Wish cruise coming up August 22nd. I am not a fan of the ship and restaurants that I would go on this ship again. I can’t wait to get back on the Fantasy October 1st!
Pete’s no is good enough for me lol,
We're leaving on the Wish Monday, it's the first cruise for our 4& 6 year old so I really hope they love it.
Used DU for the first time and super pleased. Thankful for the OBC and the gift basket arrived and was great! Thanks
Great show Pete with your team. Really appreciate for your honest opinions and feedback on DCL ships.
Wish was shrowded in secrecy for so long followed by so much hype that it just did not live up to it. I hope they learn some lessons for the next ship. I am still excited to go on the Wish, but I feel like if so many aspects were not anticipated they would seem better.
Wish has king sized beds in the larger cabins
Appreciate your honesty! We consider it a one and done for our upcoming cruise to try new restaurants, shows etc. we’ve sailed magic, dream and fantasy. We have a magic booked for spring.
This sounds silly, but for the last two videos, I've been trying to figure out what Pete's shirt says. Is it "from", "prom" ?
31 days from my first sailing on the Dream. I sailed the Wonder in 2000, and this will be my next one. I’m excited to board the Dream based on Pete’s love. We’re doing an epic 25th anniversary trip in 2025. Starting to think a week in the parks followed by a week on a ship wont be long enough…
great show as always. looking forward to our cruise next november!
We sat at a table near the corner of the entrance to Arendelle, also was next to a server entrance/exit. So we had a blocked view plus a lot of noise/distractions. It was hard to pay attention to the show. Really poor design for this experience.
The wish is made for first time cruisers or first time Disney cruisers on top of the more family and themed vibes.
So true !! Rocks at the moon . Thank you
Sounds like the Wish is to large for me.. Prefer the smaller ships and resorts.😀
Really want to know if the new Wish experience that uses your smart device compares to the interactive muppet detective agency on the Dream. My family loved the muppets detective agency.
I noticed on my Wish cruise, all tables bordering the stage of Arendelle were Concierge.
Wow... How did you know?
Concierge key cards are gold versus the standard blue.
@@aimeej5201 good catch
That’s what you pay for with Concierge
I’ve got 2 cruises booked in November…we’ll look for you!
Per Elaine's comments, my oldest is 30 and still communicates with kids he met on his first cruises in 98 and 99 his CC # is less < than 800 tells how long it has been.
Elaine you look wonderful!
Would love to see a show focused on the adult areas of the ships. My kids are in thier early-mid 20s and no kids of thier own yet. I'm thinking of doing a cruise but not sure a Disney (yes, we live WDW) cruise would be for us especially since we haven't done a cruise before.
Thank you for the video. Each ship is special in it's own way. They all have good and bad points. I am sure Disney will take all of the feedback from the Wish and make enhancements to the next 2 ships.
How do you get to decks higher than 11? The elevators stop at deck 11? Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
Hi Guys thank you for your answering Fans Questions and Answers. There a few thing I have to agree and disagree. We just sailed on August 5-8 and actually loved this ship. My kids and wife have also sailed on the Dream and she's not a huge Disney fan however after this sailing she got sold on it and now wants to go on a 7 day cruise. Couple of things we actually thought our cruise was mostly adults and not to many families. Our kids are 10 and 5 and felt that the Dream has more stuff to do on the Oceania Club than there is on the Wish. The area is beautiful and detailed however if you think about it, their just big empty rooms. Our kids hated it they said there was no activities and just kids running around. I also seen a lot of kids checking out. As for the entire ship I think having the Lounges and Cafes all over the ship made the ship fun and active. I did not mind the elevator placements because let's be honest your not walking a super long distance. Our room was on the 9th floor so we also did not mind walking up 2 flights to go to the pools. We did think the Theaters were to small, every time we went to go watch a movie the theatre was full. On the Dream its to large and no one was in there. As for the stores they need more less expensive and more main stream shops instead of Jewelry stores. I also think on Room Service menu got scaled down which I did not like to much. We also actually liked all the Pools however Yes the slide is to slow and needs to be improved. Also the Star Wars lounge is to small needs to be larger. Never made it up to the Cove seems difficult to get to. I do think they need to incorporate more things for Boys. All the cabins are themed to Princess, Frozen, Tangled, Tiana, and Cinderella. This ship seems mostly themed for girls only.
I disagree about the food. The food is the same on all the ships out of Port Canaveral. They are buying the same stuff from their purveyor. I was on the Fantasy in May and the Wish in July, and the menu's were the same. Pasta with shrimp, Pasta with scallops, Mushroom purses. Saw no difference in food. Maybe Frozen dining room had something new.
Very interesting i never thought of that. Have you sailed out of the port of Miami? I wonder how the Dream food compares now that it goes out of miami.
preparation of the food is the difference
Do you think the Disney Wish, because Disney is trying something new with this ship, is listening to all the Vloggers and making notes for the next 2 ships coming down the pike? Or do you think it is falling on deaf ears? We booked a trip on the Disney Wish (thank you Elaine) for Sept '23 for my big 6-0, hopefully things will be ironed out.
why did Craig say “I gave her my honest opinion but i won’t say it here”? They seem to give 2 different answer’s depending on who the audience is.
We need a suck doesn’t suck cruise reviews 😊
I hope Pete and John are on my November 28th cruise
Concierge ranking of the ships?
I got the premium and I live streamed without issue.
We cancelled the Wish for October .we have heard many things non favorable so we thought we would go on the Dream vs the Wish
How would you compare tue nightime shows in the theater. I know the Beauty amd the Beast on Dream is Broadway quality?
Is asking which is favorite ship like picking which is your favorite child?
I agree with change, but I don't like the dining options, I don't think I will enjoy the entertainment!
After watching several you tube content shows
I agree with Pete
If a waiter talked down to me & gave me a “look” like O was trash?
My ass would have been out of enchanted!!
Waiter needs to realize he is on a Cruise ship in America, not in a top notch Paris France 5 star restaurant
Wake up Disney!!
500.00. For a dinner in Enchante, & this guy was treated like a pauper!!
Don't cancel, or move to another ship? but I am not sailing with children .
11 Days!!
Can we please appreciate Elaine’s fashion game for a minute! Her look is 🔥🔥🔥. Not that it matters at all, but she is kind of #goals for women in our demographic. 🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I will offer my kids up for kids club reviews if you wanna pay for a portion of our cruise 😀
I watched someone elses video regarding the dining experience and the server was rude and made them feel uncomfortable! Great for $500
None of the vloggers are discussing 1923. Is it that forgettable?
I hope not, it is where we requested our duplicate dining venue. I looked at the menus from each restaurant and it looked the best to me. I have seen reviews of it and comes highly favored. I also just learned you could have breakfast and lunch here too!
Can you roll your own cigs on-board? I know u said there are 3 areas, Aldo do people vape there?
For people who are concerned about the environmental impact of cruise ships, the cost of the Wish might be worth it.
