Check out the solutions for the below 3 main reasons that you can not extend C: drive. If you have any other questions, please ask us in the comment section of the video.
    Reason 1:
Healthy Active Recovery Partition is appearing in the middle of C: Drive and unallocated volumes
    Solution:
For Healthy Active Recovery Partition issue, we need to delete it first by the prompt command using the below instructions.
    1. Diskpart
    2. list disk
    3. select disk n (n is where you put the number of the physical drive)
    4. list partition
    5. select partition n (n is where you put the number of the partition)
    6. delete partition override
    7. exit
    8. exit
Please let us know if the solution helped.
    Reason 2:
A Drive is located between C: Drive and unallocated volume.
    Solution:
Suppose D: Drive is located in between C: Drive and unallocated volume:
    1. Create New Simple Volume from the unallocated volume which will automatically create G drive and move your files from D: Drive to the new volume/G: Drive.
    2. Delete the D: Drive, which will be showing unallocated volume next to C: drive now.
    3. Now you are able to extend C: Drive. Add as much volume as you want to C: Drive.
    4. Here make the rest of unallocated volume back to “New Simple Volume” and name it as D: Drive.
    5. Now either delete the empty G: Drive or keep it as one more drive for your computer once you move all your files from G: Drive to D: Drive
    6. Lastly, if you don’t want to have the G: drive, you can delete it and add the unallocated volume to D: Drive or extend the D: Drive.
    7. That’s it!
Please let us know if the solution helped.
    Reason 3:
Why can’t I add Volume from disk 1 to disk 0 or from disk 0 to disk 1 to extend C: drive?
    Solution:
It means you have two hard disks and one of them is SSD Boot Disk and the other one is HDD disk.
Now, you can not extend C: drive like this. Why? Because you can only extend C drive with the portitions’ volume that should exist on the same Physical hard disk either Disk “0” or Disk 1.
Now, what are the alternative solutions?
    1. Watch our videos on “How to make computer run faster - all parts” and find tips which will help you to free up more space for your C drive in order not to need to extend C drive. Here is the link. shorturl.at/kxQW2
    2. Keep windows/OS on your SSD and have only one drive if you have more than one partitions on your SSD disk and keep your HDD for saving files data only.
    3. Buy a new SSD with more volume and replace it with the existing one.
    4. Download “EaseUS Todo/EaseUS”. Search and learn how it works. Once you have it, so you can copy all the contents of one hard disk to another disk (From Disk “0” to Disk “1” or vice versa meaning that you move OS from SSD to HDD). But you should know that your computer while booting from HDD, will run much slower now. Just make a good decision.
Please let us know if the solution helped.

Hello My friend. Firstly, super video!! thank you for your expertise. I put my OS on a 1TB NVME drive. I allocated 50 GB for the OS, but windows would not recognise the other 877GB? i made it a simple volume.
I have removed the 512MB and extended C: via your easy steps. Now i have 4.5 Gb free out of 53 GB.
Now I have a D drive that I cannot make into unallocated space. It shows D: 877 GB NTFS Healthy (Page File, Basic Data Partition) But the problem is, its showing up as
872GB free of 877GB and the drive is empty. so I can't delete the volume or even format it , as it says it's in use.
Update. i have managed to turn of page file for D:

For anyone visiting this and wondering how important that recovery partition is... Its used to reload Windows back to complete defaults as if it was a fresh install. I have the Windows disk to reload, so I am happy to just completely reinstall the operating system (in fact its probably better). But if you have an OEM license and the manufacturer did not supply a reinstallation disk, you might want to have a look into a partition manager.

I want to know too, I actually found a page where it said it was not completely safe, and that it is safer to just move it at the end.
I have not tried yet and am searching more info pls lemme know any updates
      quick update!
I just tried installing aomei and moving the recovery partition at the end (in my case I had no files in D: so I just deleted it and made it unallocated) then I was able to merge the two partitions just fine.
Idk what the recovery partition does but I though I'd rather leave it for security

    • @MuradiTutorial
      @MuradiTutorial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi harsh soni.
First, we delete the HRP when we need it to be deleted, but we do not have to delete it when we don't need to delete it as it is less than a GB amount of volume which is not a considerable amount of volume to be added to a drive.
Secondly, there is not any harm to the computer. HRPs are created back themselves automatically when you revert back to the factory settings, for booting or anything else purposes. Sometimes, it will be also auto created after days of computer's frequent uses. No worries at all. Thanks for the visit and supports.

I followed your process to extend the C drive volume, now it won't boot. Disk manager was not responding after deleting the recovery partition. I closed and relaunched, then extended volume. Then restarted the computer. Now it's asking me to insert proper boot device.

    • @MuradiTutorial
      @MuradiTutorial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I rexzilla.
Sometimes, it will be also auto created after days of the computer's frequent use. No worries at all. Thanks for the visit and supports.

You need to delete the Healthy Recovery Partition only which is of small amount less than a GB. It not necessary it should be Partition No. 5 on your computer. It can be a different number. If you have deleted the right partition HRP, so you don't need to recover it. It will be auto created.
